Jeffrey Dahmer goes to police after discovering a homeless man dead in Florida.
“If I am to be honest with myself, I would have to admit that if I again was set up in another apartment and had the opportunity, I probably would not be able to stop. I feel that it is almost a driving compulsion to commit these acts and I probably would have started up again, after some time… Obviously, a power higher than myself had been fed up with my deeds and decided it was time for me to be stopped.”

Serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer in prison
A video walk through of a CG project I've been building for the past three years (off and on, anyway). It's Oxford Apartment #213 in Milwaukee, WI as it appeared the night of July 22, 1991. This was the home of Jeffrey Dahmer on the night of his arrest. Visit me at www.reddit.com/r/Project213 for updates and discussion.
Check it out on YouTube too, at https://youtu.be/tyLHimsE5dc

Jeffrey Dahmer readily admitted to having engaged in a number of paraphilic behaviors, including necrophilia, exhibitionism, hebephilia, fetishism, pygmalionism, and erotophonophilia. He is also known to have several partialisms, including anthropophagy (also known as cannibalism). One particular focus of Dahmer’s partialism was the victim’s chest area. By his own admission, what caught his attention to Steven Hicks hitchhiking in 1978 was the fact the youth was bare-chested; he also conceded it was possible that his viewing the exposed chest of Steven Tuomi in 1987 while in a drunken stupor may have led him to unsuccessfully attempt to tear Tuomi’s heart from his chest. Moreover, almost all the murders Dahmer committed from 1990 onwards involved a ritual of posing the victims’ bodies in suggestive positions—many pictures taken prior to dismemberment depict the victims’ bodies with the chest thrust outwards.
Jason's special day.
Maniac is a short horror film directed by Shia Labeouf that follows the criminal activity of two serial killers. The entire thing is laced in creepy tension and disgusting gore. Those with light stomach might want to sit this one out, it’s very visceral.

The last diary entry German school shooter Sebastian Bosse made dated on the same day he went to the Geschwister-Scholl-Realschule in Emsdetten, North Rhine-Westphalia and wounded five students before killing himself. He started documenting his thoughts and plans in a diary and made his first entry on August 10, 2006.
Jeffrey Dahmer’s 15th victim Jeremiah Weinberger:
‘He was very affectionate in the bar,’ recalled Dahmer. ‘He was giving me blow jobs right in the bar and everything.’ There is surprise in his voice, the surprise of a man to whom this degree of unforced attention was novel. It might be that here was somebody so keen on Dahmer’s company that he would stay with him of his own accord! They walked back to the bar area, where Dahmer sat on a stool with Jeremiah on his lap. Jeremiah called his friend Ted Jones over and spoke with him for half an hour, while Dahmer moved to an adjacent stool and brooded, saying nothing. In that moment, perhaps, the spell was broken. Jeremiah could not, after all, be his and his alone, because he had connections, he was tied by friendships to other people like this man, he belonged to people. That was an intolerable thought. Last call for drinks was at 3.45 a.m. Ted Jones said, ‘I’ll call you tomorrow to see if you want to go to a picnic this weekend. If there’s no answer, I’ll assume you went for the weekend.’ Dahmer and Weinberger took the Greyhound bus to Milwaukee, a ride of an hour and a half during which Weinberger made love to his new friend all the way. ‘He was all over me on the bus ride home.’ Jeremiah was genuinely attracted to him, and had made advances to nobody else. That was not enough for Dahmer, however. When they got home, they embraced and had oral sex, after which Dahmer prepared his treacherous mixture of drink and sleeping pills. ‘I wanted to see if I could find a way of keeping him with me without actually killing him.’ The irony is, he would probably have stayed, as he had told Ted Jones that he would be away for the whole weekend and his enthusiasm was evident. While this kind and decent man slept, Dahmer drilled through his skull and, for the first time, the acid injections having resulted in fatalities, he squirted boiling water into his brain. ‘He woke up at the end of the day, the next morning, and he was sort of groggy and everything. He talked, it was like he was dazed and I thought I would be able to keep him that way.’ Jeff helped him take a shower. Jeremiah said nothing about his head. There was no blood or liquid effusion of any kind. He was up for about six hours, just sleepy and indecisive. He made no effort to leave the apartment. Of course, he did not know what had happened to him, and could not understand why he felt so comatose. ‘He was walking around, going to the bathroom, but I had to go to work the second night, at the end of the second day, and he was still walking around so I gave him another dose of pills and another shot of boiling water in the same hole.’ He left Jeremiah lying on the bed. The next morning he returned to find him dead. He had fallen off the bed and was lying on the floor, his eyes wide open. Dahmer was surprised the eyes should be open like that, as all the others had died with their eyes closed. One must only hope that Jeremiah did not wake up and endeavour to save himself from this madness into which he had fallen. Dahmer took seven pictures of him, the first as he lay there on the floor, staring in disbelief, the others after decapitation.
- The Shrine of Jeffrey Dahmer
This case is one of the ones that most caught my attention because, as Dahmer said, Jeremiah was someone who really saw him deeply, desired him and this was sincerely because he had no desire to leave. The problem is that throughout his life, Jeffrey was used to seeing people leave and had zero self-esteem, where he never really believed that someone could stay by his side for so long. When he saw that the boy had other ties he was shaken and that doesn’t surprise me, and here we have again his panic of abandonment. He certainly thought that Jeremiah would soon get tired of him, he would simply no longer want him and might prefer other people. The fear of being “replaced”, let’s say. There is also the fact that Dahmer had a need for possession and total control, he would not accept that a partner was not only with him. This story of Jeremiah only shows how he was a deeply insecure man since always and at the same time, he obviously became attached to the boy because of the way Jeremiah treated him, being affectionate, truly attracted and interested, that’s why he didn’t want to kill him right away, but of course the “injections” would lead to his death.
It is impressive in a way how this man was always driven by his own fears and unexpressed feelings when he committed his crimes, so it will never be right to associate his motivations as just a desire for sadism and pleasure in killing. It was the result of such an overwhelming loneliness and such a depressing self-image that he would always see himself as someone unworthy of company even when there was one who genuinely liked him.
