The best optical illusion/hallucinogenic inducing video I have seen to date.
This absolutely destroys any breakdown or vfx reel I have seen before it. I don't know how good the film is but the visual effects is absolutely world-class in this video.
I don't know how good the video game will be but this CGI sequence is gorgeous.
Always loved this Ira Glass speech, this is a great video to accompany it.
They've made one for the past few years and each is better than the last. Google knows how to ring in the new year.
The best speech ever given... timeless masterpiece by Charlie Chaplin.
Just... badass..
...Little need be said for this one. The concept is cool, the shoot is very simple (There's a BTS video for it as well which you can see here)
I could care less for the message or story of this ad, but the cinematography of this is beautiful. I love these quick-cut semi-hand-held sequences which seem to almost be streams of consciousness. I'm a little envious of them because they're all seemingly spontaneous but yet so smartly crafted and create a great edit of beautiful shots.
This video's made it to a lot of my playlists. The cinematography is beautiful, the copy is well written, and the message is inspirational. One of the best car commercials I've seen in a while.
I'm a big fan of twists, in movies and in ads, so this commercial really played on that. The cinematography is really great and the only thing that would have made this better is if some of the models (like the North Korean leader type and the soldier) would have looked a bit more the part. I get that this is AXE and they need everyone to look like a supermodel, but it would have been more powerful to see more rugged men showing such emotions.
I really am in support of a lot of things Microsoft is doing in reccent years and this commercial is no exception. Shown first at the 2014 Superbowl, it is an inspirational ad showing the powerful of--Microsoft--technology. The robotic voice is a nice touch.
Sometimes a gorgeous girl can make a video. Aside from the beautiful model in the video what I really like is that the song actually is decent and the editing very well paced. It would have been nice to see a shot of the kids and the model in the same shot even if they had to do a bit of composting (as I can imagine the kids were shot separately) but the Kuleshov effect sells the two together.
This is actually a great music video and song. I can only imagine the amount of rehearsal before they got the choreography and timing of each sequence from this video, not to mention getting all the props in order. One thing I would critique about this is the lack of color correction, it would have really added to the action to have at least a little bit of CC, not having it look so home-made in a sense.
An absolutely brilliant chroma-key job in this music video by the French rapper. I don't know what he's singing about or how it relates to the video but the way the artist has been placed into each scene so seamlessly is very impressive.
For my first video I'm going to share a music video I find pretty cool, very interesting how it combines temporal manipulation so seamlessly.
