my biggest gripe with this season is that the show omitted other scenes of the straw hats worrying about nami before getting to drum island when it should've shown more. in the anime, there's this really beautiful scene of a feverish nami waking up in the middle of the night to find the rest of the crew all sleeping in the same room as her. usopp is muttering tall tales in his sleep, luffy is snoring loud as hell, splayed out on the floor like a rug, zoro and sanji are still beefing even in slumber, and vivi is next to nami's bed, having fallen asleep leaning on it. nami looks around, taking in the scene of her crewmates sleeping chaotically across the floor of her room in lieu of their own spaces because they were just that worried about her. i get that the anime has other stuff happen before the straw hats got to drum, so they could fit that scene in there, as opposed to the straight shot the live action takes, but this is one of those things that i really wish we were shown instead of told (or, to keep sanji's line about not leaving her side, have it be shown first before it was said). it not only shows us the level of worry the straw hats have for nami's health, but also generally how much they care for her.
