People were mostly more shocked that Prince was so small in comparison to his dad, all things considered. You’d expect the tiny prince to be from a tiny family, but. Nope. Figuratively and literally… More than 57 cousins… Prince very casually took the offered donut piece from the stranger with a small ‘thank you’ as he quite immediately begins to eat it. For royalty, he’s quite easy to sate.
There’s a few pauses between his munches as he listens to the other, nodding in agreement with each one of her points. She wasn’t wrong, there were many ways to describe the cosmos. Some people used more complex words, sure, but it all boiled down to the same concepts at the end of it all. He almost wondered how the other managed to get here, but as long as she could breathe. She’d be fiiiiiine. Probably.
At the mention of making space, Prince tilted his head. The world of dreams wasn’t something Prince had been completely unaccustomed to– I mean for crying out loud, he needed to roll through his dad’s memories in order to get him out of a coma, of all things, but.
“My dad makes stars and stuff when he’s awake, n-not in his dreams… Well, actually, I donno w-what my dad dreams about. Maybe I’ll ask him later.” He said, taking another pause to bite out of the donut piece as if that first part wouldn’t be startling information to someone who had no context to his dad at all, “As for me? Uhhh… I remember my dreams sometimes. I think I dream about being on islands a l-lot. Like, vacation islands? With the beaches and sand…”
You know when cartoon characters do that thing where they walk off a cliff without falling because they haven’t yet realized that they’ve ran out of solid ground to step upon? Yeah, her breathing in space was a whole lot like that. Sometimes you had an underwater dream with complete negligence to the fact that water isn’t breathable, sometimes you had a sky-high flying dream without acknowledging that the thinner atmosphere would complicate a great many of things...
But just do not perceive such problems and... they truly weren’t as much of a problem as you’d think. Just don’t mention the discrepancy and we’ll most likely be fine.
Though, a discrepancy was steadily being spotted by the dreamer’s point of view, light-colored eyes staring blankly at the smaller one’s visage in... seeming thought. Or shock, perhaps? That would’ve been the most apt reaction, after all. Sounded pretty wild, creating stars. He spoke on his dad, a fellow who makes stars when he’s awake? Sights stare... gears turning, dial-up sounds whirring in the background, before...
“The big guy is your dad..? With the ” Hands head upward and fan outward from the ears, miming head cylinders. “And the ” Arms stretch apart to convey a great height. “You’re his...? Wow. That’s pretty cool. His dreams had a lot of places in it, couple aggressive dreams, and then afterward, most had people saying how great he is and stuff. Mnh, I didn’t stay long, though. I should go back with a notepad if you’re curious about his dreams. But your dad seems real neat.”
Yes, she may have rode in on the big guy’s dreams. He had so much going on that it was pretty easy to slip on out without bothering the large lad with her entrance, general presence, and following exit. As for the little one, the conversation was continued like nothing too crazy had been uttered. Y’know, just another Sunday.
“Ooh, beaches are always nice dreams~. Sipping a tasty drink and napping in the shade. Mm, keeping a dream journal helps with dream clarification, by the way. Then you get more fun dreams once you’re able to remember them more often! Makes sleeping even more great, knowing there’s a good dream waiting for you!”
