Double RR Carr ~ Maticulous Splendifirous Ft. Club Paradise
It's been approximately a brick and a half since I did anything on here. That's what mental hospitals and depression does to a lad I'd imagine.
In order to get back into the Cesaro swing of things, I decided to speak on a track from the Ass God, Double RR Carr, Maticulous Splendifirous.
His deep fat voice gracefully moves along the synthesizers and harps we hear towards the latter half of the song. Supposedly his dick is so long you can step on it. The combined efforts of the rapper and producer puts one in a hypnotic trance.
A clear vision to make sure his niggas and him stay winning. Carr just might be on to something.
ANTI-CHRIST-SUPERSTAR FEAT. POOLBOI (PROD. SKIMASKHUE)
There's a certain relationship between Marilyn Manson and rap. Though they may polarize each other in the ears of some listeners, they actually hold many similarities to one another. Comparisons can be made between a contemporary rapper like Bones and Manson. Hazy and Poolboi unite angsty teens of all colors and backgrounds with an abrasive track that captures both worlds of rap and industrial metal. The lead vocals comes through with a voice similar to Marilyn Manson himself layered over well with an ambient instrumental

The 757 Connects for #VASHIT3
Hampton, VA. It holds a special place in my heart. The first people to use one of my beats is from the 757, the first concert I went to was in the 757, and my first show was in the 757. Their unity is what I strive for in a city. They hold each other up. Justice Smith brought everybody together for a family-like project for people to see the city and what they their bringing. When I tell you every single song on here is great and will be played on repeat regularly, that is not an exaggeration. With Artist such as Hanz, FULLMETALPARKAS, Vintajj, Treezlowkey, and RexNendo, each song is like a different complete tone, you don't hear a single song that sounds the same from another, and that's so crazy to me. You have to listen to this project. And you other cities, TAKE NOTES.
Deshon Hodges Brings 300 Rez & Dreemy Suave for Chinese Food
Deshon Hodges is a fellow Waldorf Native that can kill it. His voice has this tension in it that makes it so enticing to listen to. He brings together 300 Rez and fellow squadmate Dreemy Suave together for the amazing track today, Chinese Food. This beautiful love song is something I'd like to see more of. All three verses are perfected to show each of their styles and something a lot of rappers don't do: compliment each other.

Interview: Bryant Woods/WoodsHotel (Fear & Loathing in Southern Maryland)
Bryant has become a very important figure in Southern Maryland and the movement arising. Interviewing and talking to the interesting and vastly different people of Southern Maryland, he's making his own wave with a very different way. No music, no artwork, just pure communication. I was on his podcast a couple episodes back and with him joining the Goldiquin team, I decided to interview him and ask more about the Podcast.
How did you get into podcasting?
Initially I was a fan of various podcast. some based around wrestling, drug use, comedy. i always wanted to be in the music business or into comedy, and its like a gateway into both worlds.
Where did the idea of covering people of southern maryland come about?
Because its a horrible fucking place to live in. but i know there's a lot of talented people that live here. so i wanted to show how this little bumfuck area lives.
How do you feel about Southern Maryland musically?
There's a lot of talented individuals. Spellbound really captured the essence of the diversity. I don't think we will ever be a big major music city but if we do i wouldn't be surprised. contradicts itself though.
Is there any other ventures that you would go into?
I definitely gotta do more Stand Up Comedy. Just comedy in general. I want to be a professor. I also want to get into music. I just want to be a jack of all trades, but first i have to master my first trade.
Who are some people that you want on the podcast?
Ieatduhbuttassgreg, First of All. Ah shit, I don't really know. I guess a few musicians. I just meet people. Mandatory though - Ieatduhbuttassgreg.
Are there going to be any permanent co-host?
Funny I was thinking about making Greg one. Either Greg or Plug Sheme. I just want someone I fuck with heavy like Conan and his sidekick. Someone I can crack jokes with back and forth.
Have you ever thought of expanding out of SoMD?
Yeah most definitely. I'll probably talk to people when i start at the University of Maryland. I don't know if I'll keep the Southern Maryland part. Even when I travel to New York and stuff, i'll probably talk to people out there. The roots of it all is here, but we obviously gotta branch out. Its not like I'm just getting Artist or Rappers all the time, but just anyone I find. But mostly just to find a niche.
Will there ever be a group of people on the show?
I thought of getting this group. It was a duo of rappers and a hype man. I think the hype man's name was qifan. If people are coherent and we can understand each other then I'm down with it. Maybe for like a live episode or something.
Will you ever do Live episodes?
If I can yes. I would probably have to be at an event, and i'll host it. Probably Like intertwined in with other people or in between performances. It would be cool.
You can check out the latest episode of the podcast with JAE below
Fear and Loathing in Southern Maryland 5- JAE
Fear and Loathing is back with another episode. This time with JAE. Discussing the very true and enormous cost to be an artist, Pokemon, and much more, we get to know JAE more personally here. Check it out here. As always I didn't know what picture to put up for it so I put up a picture of another Pokemon because of Sun and Moon has taken over my life.
JAE - Awe
Jae garnered a wide crowd at Spellbound when he performed 3 tracks for the crowd. The last of the 3 was an unreleased track that was unknown to us, and yet had the crowd moving to the hypnotic loop of the beat.
It was only when I met with him in his studio that he played the song for me and I learned the name of the track crafted by Jae, Awe.
His favorite music is motivational music, the very type that he himself makes. His humbleness comes through with him talking of support from friends and saving money.
Jae effortlessly finds a balance between a braggadocios young vibrant wordsmith and an insecure teenager. Keep an eye out for his future releases.
Interview: $ammie
Anytime someone asks me for something real, something they can feel, something different, this man is the first person I goto. I've had the pleasure of watching $ammie grow as an artist and a person and its incredible. Coming off the release of his debut album, Monotone Hearts, He takes no breaks and its right to work to release his next project, Year 1, very soon. I sat down with the 22 year old Brockton native to see where his head was at.
You recently dropped 4Seasonz, and said that you will drop a project every 25th leading up to Year 1. Can you tell us more about these projects and Year 1?
Well it all starts with Monotone Hearts. That was a project that i felt like i had to do because it was pretty much my entire life embodied into that one piece of work. Year 1 will officially be the follow up to Monotone Hearts but the tapes in between are like fillers. They provide the bridge to what my next album will sound like. 4Seasonz was made to basically say "Fuck anybody against me and my team because we're gonna keep working no matter what." As for November's tape , it might get canceled so i can hone in on the album but instead i might release a single or something that ties into the album.
How did you get into making music?
Looking for an outlet. I started with painting, graphic designing, even playing instruments to look for a way to express myself. naturally music came along the way. Noemi played a big part in helping me solidify and find a sound that works best for me. I've grown to love music in a way where i would love to have it as a career.
Who is Noemi? I see she plays a big part in your music.
Noemi? [laughs] Thats my mom (middle name). When it comes to music that's what i refer to her as.
Your team is just as consistent as you. How did you guys get together?
Well to be honest my team only consist of two people, Me and Bieron. He's been with me since the start of all this and he's seen me grow as an artist first hand. When it comes to the music he's more of the coordinator & planner. Like when I make my songs the way I see fit, he'll come from another angle and usually thats how we come up with the final sound. Even though the projects are under my name, the work is always 50/50 between us, nothing gets approved unless we both stamp it. Most people wouldn't know what Bieron does because he's really behind the scenes with the craft and the works. Limelight doesn't bother him, we're just trying to make music and live as comfortable as we can.
I noticed your into anime. Which series would you like to live in?
Ah man anime?! If i had to narrow it down my choices, it'll be between Full Metal Alchemist, The Boy and the Beast, and Yu Yu Hakusho. But then again I fall in love with almost every anime i watch [laughs]. That is really my other life.
How is the Boston music scene?
It's dope! I'm not involved or as known throughout the city as i'd like to be, but I still don't consider myself second to none. The city I'm from [brockton] I feel also has plenty of talent as well but it's too divided. I really wish everyone would put their differences aside and unify & work together but that shit ain't happening.
How would you change it?
Me? Nothing. Not my responsibility to push others forward. If they don't want to work then that's on them.
If you could work with anyone who would it be and why?
100% going go with The Weeknd. The 2011 version of him only! At the time he really was my favorite artist and those three projects he released that year to me are certified classics.
Where do you see yourself a year from now?
2017 is my Jordan year so I expect it musically to be my best year for me. I feel more comfortable with myself when it c omes to my music because everything before Monotone Hearts feels like it was leading up to these moments. all those countless songs I done were me looking for my sound. Although Year 1 will sound completely different of Monotone Hearts which makes it so much more fun.
You can listen to $ammie below and Year 1 is coming Christmas, December 25, 2016.
JIGGAMANE JAHNI's New EP "LILLEATHERFACEBOY" Is A Must Listen
This shit is fucking dark. JIGGAMANE JAHNI's New EP, LILLEATHERFACEBOY, is a crazy twist of metal and hip hop. This mixture for some reason is starting to become my favorite and this EP is one of those reasons. Though JIGGA doesn't just rap about death and anarchy the entire time. Making pseudo-motivational bangers with songs like IWONTDOWHATYOUTELLME can be an anthem for individuality. If you're into Rap in general, I think you should listen to this EP.
You can check out LILEATHERFACEBOY and more below
Eash Is Something Serious!
Some times I play around with friends and play my stream on SoundCloud and freestyle around. This is how I found Eash, this Mary J. Blige sampled track had us all stopped in our tracks. The chords so well polished a long with the sample just complimenting everything surrounding. The composition is something I have to commend. You have to check it out.
$ammie Drops 4Seasonz My Guy!
We featured $ammie a couple months back in our Tasty Tuesday Playlist. This guy just doesn't stop. He will drop a project every 25th until the release of his next Major Project, Year 1 on New Years. This guy is a moving masterpiece. He's never not dropping something. This work ethic is what I want to see in every Artist going int 2017.
This latest project, 4Seasonz is a group effort. He gets his gang together to create a sound that seems to fit them all perfect. Its crazy to see a whole team moving in one unison with the same wavelength. Check out this project and get your ass ready for November 25th
JAYTASTIC Comes Out Of Hiatus with "Recess"
Jaytastic is a 19 year old rapper from Waldorf, MD. Unlike a lot of the talented artist around the area, he focuses his style on that more old school 90s flow. He disappeared for a moment, but he's back now with this crazy quick but delicious track, Recess. You can just tell from one listen with his delivery that he's confident. You can see the lyricism from the jump and there's always a bar that gives you that wide eyes. Jay is one of the many that rep the Dorf hard.
You can check out Recess and more below.
Supa Bwe Slaps with "New Goddess"
I been following Supa Bwe since the beginning. Pot Goddess Version 1 still gets played to this day. Recently, Supa released some heat I wasn't expecting. Following the same Goddess theme he makes a banger. I'm going into the New Years and beyond with this one. His voice is hectic, his self produced instrumentals hit hard and heavy. Its a complimentary effect that Supa has perfected. He can go from a sweet soulful song to songs you can mosh to.
You can check out Supa Bwe and New Goddess below
Interview: Aquilvcr
Today I bring another interview with a very talented young man from Waldorf, MD. - Aquilvcr. I featured him recently with his single "Green Roses" before on the site. After Spellbound and his own showcase of Southern Maryland Artist, Catch Us Now, I felt I should do an interview with the legend in the making.
How did you come with the Name Aquilvcr?
My name Is Anthony Aquil. Aquil is my actual name. VCR isn’t just some shit I made up, I lived it and then made it up. VCR stands for Visionaries Create Reality. I feel like those are the three things you need to be successful. You gotta have a vision. You create your vision and make it into a reality. When you possess all three things you live the VCR.
How do you feel about the DMV Music Scene?
I’m so proud. It still sucks in general, but it came a long way. That's why I’m so proud. There wasn't a DMV Music scene; there was a DMV GoGo scene. We living here know about stuff, but no one outside does, and now we have people outside the city rocking with us. I feel like that's a beautiful thing. I know that its going to keep getting better and evolving and evolving.
How would you change it?
I’m going to change it by being the crab that got out the barrel. Its deeper than making it out. That’s just step one. I want to create a wave or vibration, an ecosystem of people moving up. A teamwork effort. The left hand washing the right hand and vice versa. Creating a unification on some DMV vs everybody shit. Come on, We’re the DMV! We got three states! That’s a lot of talent. Once I put out my master plan and make movements, Rappers move off monkey see monkey do, and I hope that people follow me in the good way.
You mentioned Naruto in your song "Green Roses", so who would win in a fight, Madara or Itachi?
[sighs] That's hard. I like Itachi, but we all know Madara will win. It’s Itachi tho, He’ll find a way. Officially I’d say Madara, but we all know Itachi would win.
If you could make a song with someone who would it be and why?
Probably Erykah Badu. I always wanted to be in the studio with her. She’s so talented. D.R.A.M as well. He’s from where I’m from. He’s a good person, and he inspires me. Seeing how the Drake situation played off and just brushed it off and didn’t let that phase him or stop him.\
Your apart of Fall Records, whats the aspirations behind the group.
Family and Love Loyalty, its an acronym. At the end of the day you cannot go wrong if you are moving by that. If you heart is instill in that, nothing will go wrong, because you will go hard for your brother or sister, you will do your best for your family.
Do you have any goals for Fall Records?
Mainly for Fall to complete all our personal goals. In retrospect looking back and be like we did. For unification, for people to look at us an emulate the cooperation. How we do what we do and how we are making it is because we work together as a family and as a unit to help one another.
Whats your main reason for making music?
Its therapeutic. Another reason is because I don’t have a girlfriend. Music is my girlfriend. I can make a whole scenario in a song that sounds like I was in a two year relationship. Now it’s therapeutic to other people and that's dope. I had so many people tell me they had sex to the whole No Valentine EP and that's so lit. That put some good karma out.
You guys recently hosted the Catch Us Now showcase in Waldorf. Whats the next move. Are you guys going to try to showcase different artist, Or more of you guys?
Everything I do is going to promote me. That’s why I don’t mind helping other people. People are going to come to me because I'm helping them. You had no problem reaching out to me to help me because you know you’re good. I feel like people don’t like doing that because they’re intimidated. Going forward, we are going to do more with Waldorf, because I can’t stop it, its a need. We don’t have much out here. People from here don’t want to be from here. Doing what we’re doing, the kids and people looking up to us are going to be inspired to keep the tradition going. It can keep getting bigger and bigger. You not a boss until you put someone else on. As a human being you’re suppose to help yourself. As a man you’re not a boss until you help the next man. Helping someone else makes me feel like I'm progressing because if I'm able to help someone else then I know I'm doing my thing.
You said it best yourself, we have to do the unification of Waldorf. That shits deep to me. There isn't any. If we can unify something this big, we can unify the next city. Everyone complains about “oh I need to do a show, I need to do this”.
I did Spellbound in my Cousin’s backyard.
Yeah! Like you gotta trap out then you gotta trap out. Like I was seeing people I didn't even know vibe out with me like that. We have to set that infrastructure so that we can be a unit.
Where do you see yourself a year from now?
I’ll be putting together my first independent tour situation. As well as having a good three to five possible projects out. I will be, I don’t know, I feel like I'll be in a very good space by then. I would have touched more people, met more people. Wait hold up if I did all this in a year, I’m about to be on MTV next year. People will know me.
