The second wizarding war was just around the corner, getting closer and closer, hell the whole Hogwarts were being operated by death eaters now, your 3 friends missing whilst the death eaters were hunting them down.

There were times you’d see the bruises in his body when you both were all over each other, but you’d avoid pointing it out knowing you were the reason behind the bruises that painted his skin.
You can’t just watch, to see your boyfriend get hurt because of you. It would get worse, surely it would knowing the war is coming, Voldemorts coming, it’s only a matter of time. So when your father used the floo network secretively to give you the chance to choose between coming with them to France, going to Beauxbatons and be safe or choose to fight for the wizarding world. You didn’t hesitate to choose to go with them knowing you would only endanger Theodore if you chose to fight the war knowing both of you were at the opposite sides of the war. You would choose to be away from Theodore if it means he would be safer without you.
So that morning when your father apparated from France to your dorm at Hogwarts, you hesitated before taking his hand again looking at your now empty dorm, it’s as if you never stayed at this particular part of your dorm, empty. Only your dorm mates who were down at the great hall for breakfast stuff were left. You didn’t want to say goodbye to Theodore. You know it would only make it difficult for both of you. He doesn’t know anything, but you just kept repeating in your mind that ‘It’s for the better’.
Theodore’s POV
Theodore was at the Great hall eating breakfast quietly with his best mates, the Great hall now felt so dead, heavy, like a ticking time bomb until the whole castle blows up now that it’s filled with death eaters and Dumbledores dead. He looked at the empty space across from him where you always sat. It was weird, you were never late for breakfast so that’s strange. He just thought, hoped you overslept.
Okay. Now it’s really strange. She missed Potions and DADA. She never misses classes, shes not reckless like that…Theodore thought, when his friends tried reasoning to him that you were probably sick or something pushed him further to check up on you, because that fear he buried long ago of you leaving without a word was rising and twisting inside his chest. He had a really bad feeling about this. So he apparated inside your dorm room, to see the part of your dorm empty, bed sheets white. Trunk empty, your books that were usually scattered everywhere was gone. The only proof that this was your room, that you were truly there was the faint scent of your perfume, but the scent was fading oh so slowly.
He was too stunned to speak, bile rising up his stomach as he clenched his fists. He felt so numb. It happened. The thing he had always been fearing would happen when they started dating back in 3rd year. Why now? When he needed you? You didn’t even leave any note or anything. You didn’t tell him why didn’t you tell him? You were truly gone. But then again it was inevitable for you to leave without a word since you were pulling away so slowly. Yet it still stung so much, it felt worse than when his father cruciod him as punishment.
That night he couldn’t sleep. And for the past month he couldn’t sleep well anymore, smoking more frequently to the point that his mates had to check up on him and care for him, he was beyond thankful for his friends but you weren’t by his side anymore. As they sat outside Theodore’s beach house Draco piped up
“Pansy told me she was having a reunion with her girls” he said simply

Blaise suggested to go clubbing and get a few drinks since they’ve been doing nothing but play,drink, eat and sleep at Theodore’s flat, and besides it’s good to get some ‘fresh air’ as Blaise said. That morning
You girls were getting ready for shopping all day, you wore a beautiful chic F/C silk halter dress with a matching silk scarf. Both of you got your mugshots taken which the two of you were smiling, stupidly, mind flying to Merlin knows where, and highly. You guys werent even bothered abit since you had the money to bail but you guys were told to stay for abit longer since the officers are still going to fix the papers.

While they were waiting for the papers and fines to be finished a group of boys stumbled inside the station, it was Theodore and the others, Draco saw Pansy as his eyes widened “love? Like all the drugs that entered you disappeared when you continued to hold his gaze.
Then Lorenzo cleared his throat

“You disappeared like a bubble then we find you here flashing people at the muggle world. You having fun Bella?” Theodore sneered, mentioning the name he used to call you when you guys were still together knowing it will hit a nerve
At that you clenched your fists and looked away. You can’t justify your mistake here. You were wrong and you knew damn well so you stayed quiet and looked at him then looked away.
The rigid energy of the station was cut off by the officer coming back with the papers from the fines of you and the girls crime and you were up so fast like lighting paying the officer with your card and walked out. Cheeks burning from embarrassment and guilt, eyes welling with tears. You passed Theodore and you caught a whiff of his scent and it felt like you were punched from memories of him and his scent, of being together back in hogwarts, the promises, you bit your lip and continued walking out and back into Pansy’s car in the passenger seat
Theodore’s body was frozen in place, you walked past him, so close but so far, no words were given to him. You left. Quietly. Once again. Theodore thought. Did he really meant nothing to you? That you just walked out like he was nothing after years?
Pansy looked at Theodore in pity as she sighed, putting a hand on his shoulder
“Shes just too high to comprehend what was happening earlier Theodore.”
Pansy said before going to the police table and writing down where Pansy’s flat is and handing it to him

Pansy said before apparating out of her flat. Theo was left standing there, before gathering his nerves and closed the front door before walking further down her apartment then he heard music from a room across the hall as he listened.

It was your turn to cut him off
“Merlin— Theodore Im sorry..i cant explain everything..just listen..”
Theodore looked at you before pushing himself off the door
“Then speak” he said
You took a deep breathe eyes already watering as you prepairef yourself
“I know I was wrong…I left because I was scared..I do have a reason but it won’t justify the fact I left without a word. I was scared and I left you because I thought it was for the better, I would only be in your way in that war and i didnt want to put you in danger just because of me…I love you too much for that and I didn’t tell you because I know it will only be even more difficult to leave if I do tell you i thought I was protecting you from leaving but I didn’t realize how much I’d really hurt you.”
You started rambling your voice shaky tears falling down your eyes but then was cut off by Theodore coming closer and cupping your cheek and wiping your tears away
“Ive heard enough”
Theodore muttered, hurt in his eyes but at the same time relief..?
By that first touch in years you broke down sobbing hugging him, you never realized how much you missed his touch until now. Theodore missed you dearly as well. It was okay even if what you did was messed up, as long as you were back in his arms he was contented
“God..Bella I want to hate you but I can’t…after what you did..it’s still you…it’s always been you..” he said his voice cracking kissing the crown of your head. You sobbed into his shirt mascara running down your cheeks as he wiped it off
“Shh…va bene..va bene Bella.. Sai che non mi piace vederti piangere”
You sniffed wiping your tears
“I missed you so much…”
You sniffled as you nudged his nose on yours like you guys used to as Theodore wiped the tears away from your cheeks. You guys stayed, foreheads pressed together for awhile before you finally closed the gap between both of you finally kissing…letting all the missed opportunities together…all the pent up love and affection you guys had for each other.
When you both pulled away Theodore looked at you with that infuriatingly smug smirk before speaking
“Im here now so don’t go flashing people around at night got it?”
You groaned at that embarrassed burying your face in his chest
“I was high of my back! And it was one time!”
“You’re not sure tesoro, you just did that recently. Who knows in the future”
