just beat vanilla mario 64 for the first time, and i'm pretty proud of myself! this game is likely the reason why i have the number "64" in my name, and i've had this username since 2017 so you know this game means a whole lot to me. despite my occasional frustrations with the camera & certain stars n' levels, this game always brings me plenty of joy no matter what. mario's movement alone is such a treat! i love this game so much thanks for being awesome, mario 64 :D

(video source) i still can't believe my eyes, i JUST got reminded of this movie (and all the times i watched it this year) last night and a fucking MTV channel decides to CLOSE OUT WITH THE MOVIE'S ENDING SONG THE FOLLOWING DAY. it's so wild to me, i can't believe it

the amount of MTV channels closing this new years eve is sad enough, but the fact that the MTV 80s channel closed out with Together in Electric Dreams and MTV Music closed out with the first song the original MTV ever played (Video Killed the Radio Star) is tugging on my heart strings like MAD

even though i've never been very interested in MTV or its history, its still getting to me cuz of my respect for what the channel once was, like daaamn 😭

2 of my best friends want to get into scott pilgrim, which makes me REALLY wish i could find all 6 b&w volumes of the novel series online

i was able read to the whole series in b&w format via the 3 volumes my local library has and the 3 volumes i could find on archive.org, and i could read it to them the same way i read it myself but for convenience’s sake i’d like to have them all digitally

maybe i'll should just fold and read it to them the same way i did? i dunno, it's not the biggest issue in the world but i just wanna start things off right for my besties, so can ya blame me?

i just started playing smb: the lost levels for the first time, what the fuck is this difficulty spike???

beat sonic 1 for the very first time yesterday, both on real hardware & with all chaos emeralds. been meaning to do this for ages, but i finally decided to commit to it yesterday as a fun way to wrap up my summer vacation. now i can finally move on and beat every other release of the game that i have!!

today is windows 95's 30th birthday, so i thought it be fun to try and remake the boot screen with the 95 version of Paint for the heck of it happy birthday windows 95!!! you're my favorite windows release :)
