“We accept the love we think we deserve.”
— Stephen Chbosky, The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
yeah breakups suck but have you ever spent 2 days glued to your phone, binge-reading one of the best fics you've ever found, only to find you that the author is probably not gonna continue writing it
I feel like one strange advantage of being a lesbian/a woman who’s attracted to other women is that it puts my own body insecurities into perspective, because when I dislike something about my body I think “would I stop being attracted to a woman if she had stretch marks/acne/a little extra body fat etc.” and the answer is always no
the kitchen is for high drama and the couch is for soft but fraught conversations and emotional closure and the doorway is for comedy
No one warned me that coming into your own also includes grieving the life you were conditioned to believe you wanted.
Bisexual men who have dated only women are still bisexual. You don’t need to have experience with someone just to know you’re attracted to them. Your lack of experience with other men does not diminish the very real experience you have with your sexuality.
“you‘re so quiet” baby i’m not even here. i’m fantasizing about a book i read weeks ago. move on.
i’m here for bisexual boys that have to put up with biphobia from their friends and family
i’m here for asexual boys that are faced with the “boys are hypersexual” stereotype every day
i’m here for gay boys that were abandoned by their friends because they thought that they were going to hit on them
i’m here for trans boys that get asked “where did my little girl go” by their parents
i’m here for pansexual boys who are told that their identities are invalid
I’m here for questioning boys that are terrified of their own feelings because they’ve been taught that being different is bad
i’m just here for the LGBT+ boys okay
Hey @ everyone in the notes can you not derail a post about GBT+ boys and somehow make it about girls, or cishet guys?? Like….let queer boys have this one thing.
to all my fellow queer boys, guys, and men i wish you an amazing evening mwah
I still can’t believe that fanfiction is free
I sometimes have to pay for water, but with a phone and some wifi, I get to read whole novels about my favorite characters for exactly zero additional dollars
How goddamn rad is that
all the love to the fanfic authors who make this possible, y'all are the best
I’ve said this once and I’ll say it again-
the world isn't ready for the person i'll become when i see the live action scene of nick and charlie's first kiss at the birthday party
me, as soon as i finish a book : i must consume and indulge in every form of content related to this book otherwise i will rot alongside these characters. i need to read every fan work and appreciate every fan art there is for me to see. i must keep these characters alive in my conscience otherwise i will die with them
if a book isn’t giving you an identity crisis, it needs to do better babe <3
do you ever have second-hand obsessions
like one of your friends is super obsessed with a thing so whenever you see something about it you’re like “YES THIS THING” but you’re not the one obsessed with it. they are. you know very little about this thing and yet it still excites you because it excites your friend
does opening my wip document and making sure my laptop never turns to screensaver by randomly moving the cursor every five minutes count as writing
Don’t belittle your achievements. Stop using words like “just” or “only” when you’re talking about things you did. It’s okay to be proud. You should be.
so far i would be happy about most ships in this book and i don’t know how olivie blake has managed to make me feel that way because usually i am very opinionated on pairings
