nobody asked but here is my rpf thesis: humans have been gossiping about people we don't know probably since the dawn of time as a way to reflect on our own behaviors and articulate our shared values. i love to psychoanalyze my long distance bestie's coworkers whom i'll probably never meet. but CRUCIALLY i don't presume that the stories i make up in my head have anything to do with the real life people whom i don't know and who don't know me !! i'm using a handful of observations and a lot of imagination to create flattened archetypes for my storytelling !!
