Hellooo!!! Do you have any tips for proportions? it's one of my biggest problems and I can't get it right
hi! i can't remember if i have already answered something similar or only meant to but here you go
face: eyes are in the middle of the head (not face!), nose is in the middle of eyebrows-chin area, lower lip is in the middle of nose-chin area, ears are somewhere in between brows and nose, between eyes another eye can be fit
there are exceptions in real people and you can stray away from those as your style develops OR you can distort them on purpose to make your faces more diverse
also hairline-brows being same length as brows-nose nose-chin is what looks "correct" and "proportional" but has the most exceptions irl
bodies: elbows and waist are on the same level, fingers end mid thigh, hand is around the size of the face. head is around 25cm long so if you want depict accurate height keep this in mind.
there's more but i think it just overcomplicates things, if you need something more advanced better get into anatomy books

been talking to friends about what the hypothetical dynamic would be with minajael & mayu and thought i'd write it down for future reference, so uhh enjoy (disclaimer: a lot of this is filling in the blanks & guessing since we barely know anything about him, so subject to change if new info arises π)
In canon
Going with B8 canon, the first time Minajael & Mayu officially meet would be at the interschool tournament
I think it'd be really funny if like, Mina had no real interest in her but notices how weird Jamil acts when he speaks to her (<- man who thinks his poker face is perfect btw) that he decides to mess with him just for the love of the game, since he clearly read Jamil like an open book in the update
Bro did high school twice voluntarily (I assume to get away from the palace, we don't know his real reason yet), I just know he'd do things just for fun, man that tries to steal your girl just to prove that he can π
This can go one of two ways
1. He simply has fun and stops when he feels like it, no harm done
2. Oops He Accidentally Caught Real Feelings in the process and watches Jamil & Mayu interact and thinks 'oh,' knowing it's not actually going to be him

Obligatory Aladdin reference but insert some kinda situation for mayu rizzkawa to do the βDo you trust meβ β’ move for Mina to realize he has been outrizzed, but it's like not even intentional he just misunderstood like
She's holding her hand out to ask for something else, but he makes a mistake and nearly takes it before he's like βWait. What's this for.β
Mayu: Can you pass me the (item)?
Minajael: Oh. Oh right.
With the Al'ab Nariya event, hc Mayu ran into him while he was walking around the bazaar in peasant cosplay (like how Jasmine in the movie snuck out) but had no clue who he was
She happened to be browsing by herself when Mina came up to the same stall and he did that oblivious Jasmine move of "You've got your eye on that? Here, for you." (picks up fruit and plops it into her hands) (does not pay for it)
Bro walks off thinking he's being nice and using his Prince Privileges /face card to help her bypass a tourist trap but forgetting he's undercover and normal people have to PAY for things
And the merchant's like "Young miss. You need to pay for that π" while Mayu's standing there holding the fruit like an idiot (wallet: -2000 madol because it's some crazy quality Scalding Sands Specialty Ruby Red Fruit or something)
So unfortunately she remembers this guy as the "mf who made her pay for his apples" but she can't remember his face because the interaction was so brief, hence she doesn't even recognize him in RSA clothes π
She later rejoins the group with a lighter wallet and a bag of fruit
Jamil: Oh. You bought apples? That variety is pretty expensive, it's often sold to tourists who come just to purchase some locally.
Mayu: I am aware π‘ (bites one angrily)
Back to the present imagine they're chatting about Scalding Sands for some reason and Mayu says she had a great time there OTHER than being scammed by some guy who made her pay for his apples after handing them to her like they're free π‘ (bonus if she waited for the guy to come back so she could give it and get a refund)
Mayu: I wonder what happened to him...
And Minajael's face is like
Girl... girl he's RIGHT in front of you π (Nobody tell her)
ALSO Mina being a magift player means technically heβd never face Jamil on the court (unless dude plays both magift and basketball)
So imagine he casually takes a seat by Mayu during an interschool match and starts chatting/commenting on the game and Jamil glances over and nearly fucks up a pass at the sight βοΈ
RSA AU
For RSA AU, I think Mayu and Minajael would be friends
Both them being simply good friends & him having a secret crush are fun routes to explore, but in the case of him having a crush I fear since he's normally a nice person, she doesn't really notice anything π I can't believe this girl has an easier time reading the tsunderes/emotionally constipated men than normal people
The ironic thing is, if she landed in RSA she wouldn't be living in Ramshackle, she'd have a proper place to stay somewhere - so there's a non-zero chance it's one of the dorms (Dunasmina uniform when)
As I mentioned in an earlier post she refers to him as "Minapai" which is a combination of minajael + senpai
Would be funny if NRC Mayu started using it too though and Jamil's like WHY are you nicknaming him
Jamil: Wait. Why are you calling him that.
Mayu: Uhh... he told me to (use Mina).
Jamil: β¦and you just went with it?
Mayu: Idk, who am I to say no to a prince- what if he orders my executionβ¦ π¨ (ignoring how she literally beefs with Leona Kingscholar regularly)

RSA Mayu being surrounded by princes on a daily basis probably also uh... desensitized her to the concept of princes & royalty π like she just straight up forgets this fact, e.g. they're talking about senior year stuff like

Minajael: Ha, you talk as if I'm going to die. (like those sports anime seniors)

In the case of "Mina has a crush," imagine he mutters "Does it bother you..? (That I'll be leaving)" but it's too quiet, and she doesn't hear him
And I think he'd be curious to hear about her world, one where his status as royalty wouldn't be relevant. Something like
Minajael: So there really aren't any princes in your original world?
Mayu: Nope! Well, not in the real sense anyway.
Minajael: β¦
Minajael: ...Thatβs nice.
(oh mina please do not contemplate sneaking off and tailing her to her original world when the time comes as an attempt to run away)
Anyways basketball matches are where the Real Deal is at and she sees Jamil on the court and points and asks Mina
Mayu: That player has that Scalding Sands government mandated face card, is he one of yours?
Minajael: What? (Looks over) ...Oh. Yeah, I know him. π
