Arago took the jacket, silently hoping this wasn’t made of leather. His body parts do weird things to organic matter that weren’t resistance to Brionac. Asking after accepting it was kinda awkward.
“Well… Steve sounds like a huge bitch.” He didn’t take delight in knowing he looked like a murdering psychopath. At least with Patchman he didn’t even have a face. “It’s fine, it’s an everyday occurrence. You at least own up to it.”
Arago gave the knife back, noticing the scars on Darren’s fingers. “Huh.” He heard about this from Beggar. “Are you a vampire?”
The old uniform jacket fit well enough on the stranger. They appeared to be around the same size-- which meant that this guy had to be around his physical age. He certainly didn’t look old enough to be as old as Darren himself.
The knife was taken and placed into the sheath he wore around his ankle, tucked into his pants for safety in public. He was surprised the male recognized his markings, stuffing his hands into his pockets while clearing his throat and nodding. “Not a full vampire yet...” He muttered, looking around the alley, “but one day I will be.”
“You don’t seem entirely human yourself-- I’ve seen someone able to grow back limbs but something like that--” He gestured to where he’d previously impaled the male. “You don’t smell all that human either-- if I’m gonna be honest.” He chuckled. “I mean, you’ve got the B.O. of a human, but there’s something else there.” It was a tease-- an attempt to ease the tension between the two parties.
