A song and a revolution
43 years ago people were standing by the radio, waiting for a song that was the code for a revolution. A handful of soldiers led the population, scared but hopeful. An uprising almost without weapons or violence would take place in the next hours, breaking decades of walls and forced silences. Dawn would come with people singing on the streets, hugs from arms that had never met before, red carnations on the barrrels of rifles instead of bullets. We have been singing ever since. We still remember the song that changed a nation. We know words can lead the way. We still smile at you, freedom.

You always hurt the one you love
The one you shouldn't hurt at all
You always take the sweetest rose
