To topbigbangandkimhayul:
It may seem at first glance that G Dragon is being disrespectful: “This is a year-end fishing for pushovers,” is the beginning line of his rap. But given the history of who G Dragon has proven himself to be, I think calling him “butthurt” and “cocky” is uncalled for.
Put yourself in the shoes of these other groups that are getting awards: do you really want to get an award because “[MAMA] hands it out generously so [its] children don’t fight”? GD’s been in this business for years, and I think he’s using the platform of MAMA and his popularity to try to get a message out: that awards are straying from being awarded to talent, and more to placate fans who want to see their groups win.
Personally, if I were a Kpop star who’s worked hard for the entire year, I’d want an award that meant something - not an award that existed for the satisfaction of my fans.
Furthermore, saying that “damn Big Bang hasn’t had a fukin comeback in over 2 years” is childish and completely off-topic. Who are you to say what idols should be doing? Who are you to say that they haven’t been through hard times? GD and every other Kpop star out there is under tremendous stress not only from being an icon but also from people like you, who curse them out for not coming back. It’s just that YG’s nice enough to let them rest, so give it to them.
"What else does this whiny bitch wants?" Sorry, but what about his entire career makes him a whiny bitch? GD and Big Bang haven’t been popular forever. They’ve worked just as hard as anyone else to get to where they are, and GD continually shows respect to everyone, even those who would be considered "under" or "lower in rank" than he is - cough cough, 90 degree bows at literally every event…
Honestly, your post just reflects that you’re a rabid fan who’s unnecessarily dramatizing things. If you’re going to insult an idol to protect your own, at least do it eloquently. It’s people like you who make the Kpop community seem toxic.
