I changed my mind I dont like posting art as reblogs WEHHH anyway more teenager Hongou doodles!
actually these are quite old but I never posted them so I just polished them real quick
the ones on the left are based on my own take on younger Hongou with @pengychan 's bracelet [5] headcanon. The right one is based on a scene from their fic Cat's Cradle which you should definitely read! I thought paying a homage to it was the least I could do for how much it has influenced some of my own ideas for his backstory <3
partly inspired by said fic too I was thinking about the idea that Musashidou sort of got young Hongou involved with his social circle after his Game. hellish combination of bad influences, mind games and stupid levels of privilege. not the best place to process your trauma during your formative years
not that it excuses the horrible things Hongou would do! Im just fascinated by the idea that his eventual cruelty and ruthlessness is complicated. this guy has so many issues
the whole thing was just plain unserious at times... in a sad way

i think people should be nicer to schizophrenics
I feel like people reblogging and spreading this post around are completely missing the original context that this was a vent post and not a general statement. I am schizophrenic. I posted this after remembering a specific time someone actively made an effort to comb through my online profiles and look for reasons to claim I'm "problematic" in order to get me banned from one of the few places i feel safe talking in because they found me mildly annoying and wanted a more valid reason to hate me. I was a minor at the time.
A lot of people are reblogging this without the addition too which frustrates me because I feel like it's really important to bring attention to the specific sort of discrimination schizophrenic people are subject to.
People will see that you're visibly mentally ill, think that you're annoying and actively look for reasons to dislike you, leading to your presence being constantly fucking monitored and judged because everyone's looking for a concrete reason to hate you. That's what this post is about. this is not a general positivity post or a statement. This is an exasperated vent from a schizophrenic person who has been pushed to his fucking brink so many times.
This doesn't just apply to schizophrenia of course- this applies to other schizospec or psychotic disorders, this applies to personality disorders (ESPECIALLY CLUSTER B.) and this spplies to DID and OSDD and other dissociative disorders. Hell this applies to any even remotely stigmatized disorder. I've seen friends with nothing up with them except for mild autism be treated like this solely because someone found them annoying.
My point is that people should really think hard about why you may find these sorts of people annoying. Just really think about if they actually did anything wrong to you other than be annoying.

the way my partner talks about my ocd is so hilariously on point. for context, i experience a lot of verbal compulsions (feeling like i Have to Say a Certain Thing to magically fix another) and he just told me. "most of the time it's easy to spot a compulsion cause literally nobody asked"
i'll tell him that i want to watch a movie and then I'll specify out loud "you do not have to comply with my wish, but it was good to freely express it just as it is good for you to freely refute it" and he will look at me dead in the eye and say "who asked. compulsion". it's just brutal
this is genuinely such good OCD treatment partnership though. acknowledging the compulsion & refusing to participate in the OCD narrative & reassurance loop. we love to see informed support.
The look on my boyfriend's face when I read this to him tells me I'm going to be hearing "Who asked? Compulsion." a LOT.
This post called me out so violently I'm meeting it at dawn with pistols.

Do not quit alcohol cold turkey
Do not suddenly stop drinking alcohol as a new years resolution if you have been consistently using alcohol most days
Your body gets used to the presence of the alcohol as a sedative in your system
Suddenly removing the sedative you are chemically accustomed to is like suddenly removing the wall you are leaning on - you will topple over
You brain electricity gets overexcited
This causes seizures
This causes sudden onset dementia (Wernicke's encephalopathy)
This causes brain damage
If you use alcohol often (even in moderate amounts)
Or in large amounts
Or you have ever noticed you get shakey tremors and anxious when you stop drinking
Then your body is chemically dependant and you need to be very careful coming off alcohol otherwise you will cause brain damage
Slowly wean down the amount you drink over days or weeks
Talk to a doctor about your goals to quit and ask about support options
Medically supported withdrawal is a lot safer
If alcohol withdrawal goes badly there is a 15% chance it will kill you.
Do not go this alone
You deserve to be safe
15% is 1 in 6 by the way. I know it can look like a small chance but it's a really high rate.
