i feel like nat would set you two up bc of how oblivious/nervous the two of you are
not before giving you a stern warning (threatening your life) to not hurt her little sister
yelena is a little shocked but relieved that you share feelings for her
at first she’s a bit closed off but opens up once she knows you’re really there for her
she needs a lot of assurance :)
she isn’t experienced in relationships so usually you just straight up tell her if something is bothering you in the relationship to avoid miscommunications and arguments
if you complain to her about your work, coworkers, or just having a bad day, she’s already up and asking who she needs to kill
she’s not big on pda, the occasional brush of your hands by hers and lingering gazes leave her wanting more
when you’re in private though she loves to cup your cheeks to kiss you firmly
you love playing with her rings when you two hold hands
you end up wearing some of them
they remind you of her whenever you’re alone and absentmindedly fiddle with them
she buys matching vests for you (and fanny)
when you two spend the night in, she’ll put on some random show and play with your hair while snuggled up on the couch
you convince her to braid your hair
in turn she lets you do her makeup
whenever she comes back from missions and meets you she envelopes you in such a firm hug and buries her face in your neck murmuring how much she misses you
after, there’s always some small souvenir she gives you, she says they reminded her of you during her missions
you have a small area in your home just for those souvenirs
yelena wants to experience things she never got to as a child, so you love taking her to the movies, festivals, and silly little adventures
when her face lights up during these dates>>>
sometimes you wake up at 3 AM to find her in the kitchen making mac n cheese and listening to old 80s music
Florence takes you to an event with her, and you end up telling her exactly how much you care for her
Note: Y’all Florence just looks so 😍 tonight at the Tiffany’s event in London, so this fic is about reader being her date. Check out my recent reblog to see her fit. It’s a tiny spicy, but not smut, and there’s lots of fluff too. I hope y’all enjoy!

“Hey darling, how do I look?” Florence asks you as she enters the kitchen.
You turn around with a glass in your hand and almost drop it at the sight of how gorgeous she looks. A black lace outfit hugs her body perfectly and leaves enough of her skin exposed for your heart to skip a beat.
“Florence, you- wow,” you say, completely astonished by her beauty. She giggles at your speechlessness.
“You also look wow, y/n,” she says as she takes a good look at your outfit too.
She asked you to go to the Tiffany & Co event in London tonight. It’s not your first event in public together, but you’re still a little nervous to be going.
“Are you ready to go?” Flo pulls you out of your thoughts and with a glance at her kind smile you know you’ll be okay tonight.
“Yeah, for sure,” you say. You walk closer to her and she wraps her arms around your neck. “Is this going to last very long?”
“I’m not sure. Why? You got a hot date?” Florence says while laughing at her own joke. You laugh too, but it’s her laugh that makes you laugh, not even the joke.
“Nope. The hottest girl in the world is right here in my kitchen. I’m so lucky she’s my date tonight,” you reply sweetly and Florence pulls you in for a long, slow kiss.
“I’m the lucky one, my love,” she says.
The red carpet goes smoothly. Florence takes her solo pictures and you’re pretty sure everyone at the events eyes are glued to her. When she calls you over for photos, you hardly know how to react but she talks to you the entire time and it goes perfectly.
It’s a few hours into a night of socializing when Florence asks you if you’re ready to go home.
“Yeah, let’s get home so we can get home and snuggle while we watch Gilmore Girls,” you say.
“Or… I could show you how amazing you look tonight?” Florence asks with a mischievous grin. You take her hand and practically run to the car.
The drive home seems to take forever and the feeling of Florence’s hand resting on your thigh, not so innocently, as you drive.
When you do finally arrive at your house, Florence doesn’t waste a second as she immediately kisses you fiercely. Her hands roam your body and she takes off your clothes item by item, leaving kisses with every touch of her hands. She lifts you up onto the kitchen counter and is about to kneel in front of you.
“Florence wait,” you say and she immediately stops.
“Are you okay? I’m sorry if I did something-“
“I’m okay,” you cut her off. You smile at her and her worries fade. “I just- it’s just-“
“What’s going on, baby? You can tell me,” she says seriously as she caresses your face gently.
“I love you,” you say with a shy smile.
“I love you too,” Florence replies with absolutely no hesitation. It makes your heart beat even quicker in your chest than it did when you were kissing her just moments ago.
“Really?” You ask her.
“Really. I love you so much, y/n.”
“I love you so much too,” you say and she kisses you so softly that the intimacy could kill you.
“May I continue with uh-“ Florence asks so cutely with her eyes glancing down.
“Yeah absolutely, go for it,” you say and she laughs her gorgeous laugh before kneeling down.
You spend the rest of your night together showing each other so much love and care. And of course, snuggling and watching tv.
I had this idea late one night when I couldn’t sleep where Yelena has an asexual partner and they both make macaroni and dance around the kitchen. Also I’ve read and heard that Yelena herself is on the asexuality spectrum too! Anyways, I hope you enjoy this headcanon attempt. I’m trying to get out of a writing block
====================================
There is something about the smell of macaroni that brings you back to when you’re younger.
The thing is you’re not expecting your partner in the kitchen making it at 2am, singing and muttering out loud to herself.
“Oh! why’re you awake?” She turned on a dime, obviously tuned in you, your footsteps. It did not bode well to sneak up on her.
“Can’t sleep,” you yawned, though your mind was still relentlessly running.
“I needed something to eat…this, this yellow cheese stuff you like it a lot, no? I got a whole crate of them.”
After she filled up both your bowls, you sit together on the couch, shoulder to shoulder, enjoying the silence, though sometimes the TV would be turned on for noise.
Though you both were quite averse to touch in the beginning, Yelena always made sure you were comfortable gently kissing your cheek before asking, “was that alright, my dove?” and you’d chuckle and brush your thumb across her lips and nod, and reply “y-yes that was perfect.”
If she was feeling particularly cheeky, she’d kiss your thumb and you’d peck her cheek before you both broke away to put the dishes in the sink.
Depending on the day you were either the one peppering her neck with kisses or she had you pinned up against the wall kissing you oh so softly, with you running her fingers through her hair, or untangling it from whatever style she’d had it in for that day.
Then, after that was said or done, if you’re the taller one in the relationship, you’d gently grab her by the waist and start swaying along to American Pie; even though she’s 5′ 4″ she can still drop kick you on the ass but never protested against this ritual.
She doesn’t usually show much emotion, but when she nestles closer to you in your embrace, you knew that that was an offering of her and her trust in you, something you never intended to break.
Summary: Every few nights, Yelena shows up at your door; and with each visit, your heart breaks a little more.
A/N: Inspired by the brief guilty look on Yelena when she's talking with Kate in ep 5 of Hawkeye. This story has been sitting in my wips for a while, and as much as I'd like to, I won't be able to write it any better. I've been having a bit of a tough time with creativity lately, do hope it's still kinda good.

The TV was talking to itself in your living room, light rain was falling outside. The sound of water hitting the fire escape mixed with the low rumble of cars passing by had lulled you to sleep about an hour ago.
The remote was loosely held between your fingers, you were half laying down on the couch in a way that your neck would complain about tomorrow.
An annoyed meow coming from your lap woke you up when your arm squeezed the cat too hard. You blinked multiple times, grimacing when a bright image came up on the TV.
Soft paws were moving around above your thighs, you glided your fingers amongst the fur, stifling a yawn. The moon could be seen high in the sky through your window, falling rain being illuminated by the street lamps far away. You rummaged around for your phone, the clock read 11:48 PM once you found it.
You stretched your body, a random movie was playing on your TV. "We should take this to the bedroom, right honey?" You scratched behind the cat's ears, he purred happily.
The movie stopped playing with a click on the remote, leaving the room in darkness save for the light in the kitchen. The windows remained partially open, despite the wind being a little colder up in your apartment, you still liked it.
You were halfway through brushing your teeth when you heard the faint ding of the elevator. You wondered if it was the old lady that lived next door who was coming home late again, having spent the day with her son; you would certainly hear all about it tomorrow, she loves to talk and you are too polite to not listen. Or maybe it was the guy from two doors to the right, coming back from his weekly trip to the club.
Putting away your toothbrush, you waited to hear one of the doors unlocking; but instead, you heard a hard knock on your door.
You glanced up at yourself in the bathroom mirror. Not many people came to visit, let alone at this hour. Yet you were almost sure you already knew who it was.
Your cat trailed behind you as you walked to the door, you held your breath when you turned the doorknob.
The first thing you noticed was how her blood was staining the ground in a dark shade of red, little droplets of it traced her path from the elevator to your door; most of it was coming from an ugly cut on her thigh. She was panting heavily, you wouldn't be surprised if she had run all the way to your apartment.
Her forehead had a cut, painting bits of her blonde hair in crimson. She was leaning on the doorway, her legs not being able to support her weight anymore. You could also see dark bruises on her knuckles, and you knew that when you took off her shirt you would find more.
Your gaze moved up and down her body. Your lips were pursed in annoyance but you could feel your eyes stinging. She didn't say anything as you seemingly analyzed her, she knew better already.
You raised an eyebrow in a silent question, your fingers holding the doorknob turned white from the grip.
She shrugged as if it was no big deal, but she broke your staring contest for half a second. "Had nowhere else to go." Her voice was strained, she held her abdomen as she spoke.
The cheap light of the corridor was making her bruises look much worse, making the many droplets of rain coating her hair and clothes shine. You felt nausea building up in your stomach. "Damnit, Yelena." You heaved out a heavy sigh, bringing a hand up to your eyes.
Yelena clenched her jaw, focusing her eyes on your cat that had just hopped up on the couch. "I'll be leaving soon."
"Yeah, I know that part." You grumbled, pulling the door open for her to walk in. The air was heavy as she limped towards your couch, lowering herself to a sitting position as if every movement hurt more than the last.
The only sounds in the living room were the rain falling outside and Yelena's labored breathing as you walked to your bathroom and picked up your first aid kit, which now held much more stuff than a normal one. You felt a familiar weight on your chest, the movement of your hands was mechanical by now.
You placed the kit on the sink and took a moment to lean back on the wall of the bathroom. Your unfocused eyes stared ahead at the white tiles. A part of you asked why you did this to yourself every night that she knocked on your door. The other part knew the answer.
Yelena was no stranger to you, much on the contrary.
Natasha had introduced her sister to you and the friendship was almost instant. She was captivating, and you fell right into her trap.
You never knew she had fallen on yours as well, having been too wrapped up in your own feelings to notice hers.
But that was a long time ago. A time before you both came back to a world that was five years ahead of you. You had met up with Yelena twice right after. The first time when she came to you looking for Natasha, the second when you held her body as she cried in front of her sister's grave.
For months, you never saw her again after that. Until she showed up at your door one night, bruised and battered and almost dying from blood loss. The routine had started then.
You wondered if she knew how hard it became for you.
You walked out of the bathroom and saw Yelena gently petting your cat, she was sitting stiffly on your couch. Seeing her always made you smile, despite the circumstances. You sat beside her quietly, your eyes cast down and focused on finding gauzes, antiseptics, and needles.
Yelena glanced towards you, bright green eyes pleading for words she knew you wouldn't give to her. Her fingers twitched to touch you, yet she didn't know how to reach out. With a tired breath, she moved to take off her vest and shirt, hissing at the instant pain that came with the movement.
"Let me." You said softly, finally looking her way. With gentle fingers, you opened her vest, shrugging it off her shoulders carefully. Next, you worked on lifting her shirt, mumbling apologies when quiet whimpers came from Yelena.
The air got caught up in your throat when her chest was bare to you. There were purple and yellow bruises all over her skin, some bigger than others and a prominent one on her ribs. A few cuts adorned her abdomen and upper back as well.
"Lena…" You breathed out, seeing your vision start to blur. You raised a careful hand, ghosting your fingertips over her shoulders and spine. Her skin was soft and warm under your touch, your heart was torn for seeing it so damaged though.
Visible goosebumps erupted on Yelena's skin at your touch, she leaned towards you instantly. Closing her eyes, she gulped down a lump in her throat; yours was the only gentle touch she knew these days.
"I know." Her voice was equally quiet, tainted with self-loathing.
You shook your head, drawing your hand back quickly and switching your attention to patching her up. She stayed quiet for the next hour that you spent cleaning up, stitching, and treating any and all the wounds she had tonight. You did the best you could and only hoped she'd take a day or two off to heal and rest. In the back of your mind, you knew she wouldn't.
The ice was cold in your hands, you placed it over Yelena's ribs slowly, watching as her stomach involuntarily wanted to move away from it. You held it in place as she leaned back on your couch, closing her eyes. Your gaze moved over her body, now filled with white tapes and bandages.
Yelena had yet to relax, you could see how tense her muscles were. You reached out for her hand, her eyes opened to look at you once your fingers closed around her own. You guided her hand to the ice pack on her ribs, closing her hold around it.
Her eyes never left you as you moved closer to her and started undoing the messy braids on her hair. You threaded your fingers through her soft locks, stopping at her cheek and tracing the outline of her jaw; not caring if she saw the emotions reflecting on your eyes.
Along with the movement of your thumb on her skin, a bittersweet smile appear on your lips. Your love for her clenched painfully in your chest.
Yelena's lips parted in shaky breaths, her fingers closing more tightly around the ice. Her gaze inevitably moved down to your lips, thinking about the few stolen moments you had with each other every other night. After a beat, she leaned forward in a daze.
"Why are you doing this?"
Yelena opened and closed her mouth, her nose brushed yours before she pulled back to look at you properly. "What?" She breathed out, not registering your words.
You gulped, moving away from her and retreating your hands. Burying away the thought that she was about to kiss you. "Why are you still doing this to yourself, Lena?"
The question made Yelena avert her gaze, the light of the kitchen highlighted her profile. She let go of the ice that was resting on her ribs, placing it on the coffee table. "You know why."
There was a pause, and a scoff left your lips. "No I don't, you keep hurting yourself and every time I'm the one who needs to patch you up. And for what, doing someone else's dirty work?"
Green eyes glared right at you, but the tears on them betrayed the anger. She stood up fast, her bruised leg failed her right after and she almost fell back. She limped away from you before you could reach out, searching around for her clothes.
"I'm doing a job that I'm good at, it's what I was trained to do." The words tasted bitter on Yelena's tongue, she refused to turn back, afraid of how you'd be looking at her. "What else is there for me?"
A single tear escaped your eye, having a last look at the harsh colors painting Yelena's back before she put her shirt back on. Her movements were stiff and labored, she was standing up with all of her weight on only one leg.
"It's not what Natasha would want for you." Your voice broke halfway through the quiet words, doubting you'd ever be able to make her see how much she was losing. "You don't need a life like this anymore, just... stay."
Yelena huffed out a nervous breath, making quick work of walking to the door. Anger and hurt clouded her better judgment.
When her hand hesitated on the doorknob, you decided you had enough. "I won't stand by and watch you tear yourself apart for nothing." You got up, picking up your cat to ground yourself. "I'm done, Yelena." The whisper was heavy.
Yelena turned her gaze to you, her fingers loosening on the handle.
The room became agonizingly quiet for a few seconds. Her eyes were fixed on the cat in your arms, it hurt that she wouldn't look up at you. "If you walk out that door, don't bother coming back." Your throat was tight around the words, but you forced them out anyway.
You heard the front door opening as you made your way to your bedroom.
As much as it hurt, you couldn't bear the thought of her showing up one day at your door, and you not being enough to patch her up. Or the day that she wouldn't make it to your door at all.
If your love wasn't enough to make her stay, then you weren't going to wait for her to come back either.
___
Yelena closed your apartment door with a soft click, the sound resonated through her body like a punch.
The steps she took towards the elevator were slow, water was collecting on the bottom lid of her eyes faster than the way she was moving. Alone. She suddenly felt painfully alone.
It was way past midnight and all the doors in the corridor were already closed. Rain was pouring outside, she could hear the clinking of one failing light on the ceiling. It felt wrong to walk away from the only person that remained in her life, the person she cared about the most.
Yelena was stubborn, she pressed the button to call the elevator up with a faint touch. By the heavy weight on her heart, she could tell it wasn't worth it. The job she hated doing wasn't worth losing you over.
She grimaced when a tug of pain came from her bruised abdomen, ghosting her hand over it. She would miss you.
The elevator reached her with a ding and the doors opened. All she had to do was walk two steps forward. It felt as if she would put a bullet through her own heart.
Deep down she knew she was still trying to atone for the mistakes of her past. Doing a job she was told was rightful work, even if the means weren't the best, made her feel a little more deserving of coming back to you.
But coming back every few nights and leaving before sunrise wasn't nearly enough anymore. She wanted to stay and wake up beside you.
Yelena ran a hand through her messy hair, cursing herself under her breath. She limped back to your door with the nagging fear that it might be too late.
Her fingers trembled slightly as she gently turned the doorknob. The room was engulfed in darkness already, the only light coming from the street lamps and the moonlight.
She hesitated in the middle of your living room, her eyes fixed on the opened door that lead to your bedroom. There was a catch in her breathing as she heard the rustling of sheets coming from your room. Yelena gulped down the lump of feelings in her throat.
What if you really don't want anything to do with her anymore.
Shaking her head, she ignored the pain in her leg and walked to your room. Her hand rested on the threshold as she peered inside. She could feel her stomach twisting in anxiousness, her feelings for you grew way beyond her control.
Yelena knew that you knew she was there, you heard the door opening, heard her unsteady steps.
Soft light coming through your window from the streets outside illuminated her as she walked to the empty side of your bed. She sat down first, afraid to overstep any new boundaries.
When she heard nothing but your breathing, and you kept laying down with your back to her; Yelena carefully removed her vest, then her boots, and lifted the covers.
The softness of your bed was familiar to her, she breathed in your scent. Her fingers prickled to reach out for you, she bit her lip in doubt.
Eventually, her tired body and the way she was craving to feel you, won her over. Yelena reached out a careful hand, sneaking it around your waist. When you didn't complain she moved closer, pressing her chest to your back.
As soon as you felt Yelena's warm hand over your waist, your eyes stung with tears. You didn't hold yourself back from interlocking your fingers with her hand that was now resting gently around you.
Feeling that you accepted her touch, Yelena let out a breath she didn't realize she was holding until now. She finally tightened her grip around you, nuzzling her head behind your neck and flushing your bodies together. "I'm sorry." She mumbled, lips brushing against your skin.
The single tear that you felt in the skin of your neck was warm, as was her breathing that caused goosebumps on your body.
You lifted your intertwined hands to your lips, kissing each one of Yelena's knuckles. "It's okay." You told her just as quietly.
You couldn't know if keeping her close was your best decision. But pushing her away hurt much more.

Thank you for reading this little story. Feedback and reblogs are very much appreciated. <3
Yelena wouldn’t know the exact emotion she’s feeling at that moment
But she knows it’s a strong one whenever your gaze fell on someone else for too long or you laughed at someone else’s jokes
You two aren’t together… yet
Which makes her feel like her jealousy is wrong
This makes her feel super conflicted
So all she does is clench her jaw and swallow her feelings down
After sometime, her jealousy grows as her feelings for you grow as well
Yelena would glare at the person your attention is being taken up by or she would make an effort to physically get closer to you or redirect your attention to her (with poor attempts at flirting i.e. “Hey want to see the new knife set/vest I got?”)
Of course you notice her shifts in behavior
You just wanted to see how far you could push it before she confessed
Since she’s new to feelings in general, she would ask Kate about it
Kate would tease her a lot when you aren’t looking and sometimes stir the pot a bit by getting into your personal space
She only stops when she spots the death glare sported on Yelena’s face
When you are together, she makes sure everyone knows you’re hers by wrapping a protective arm around your waist
You secretly like Yelena’s jealous side because you get to reassure her that you only have eyes for her
A/N: I’m very new at this, esp at formatting. Bear with me. Pls send requests ;)
reader x Yelena Belova (romantic) x Natasha Romanoff
Warning: Natasha being mean basically, harsh words, slight smut, Top!Yelena, Bottom! reader, swearing
Summary: you and Yelena have been dating for a while, but her sister doesn't know...yet.
----------------
When you first met Yelena, you knew you were screwed. Gorgeous green eyes that locked into you instantly when Natasha introduced her to the team, ring covered fingers that you just couldn't keep your eyes off, wondering how they would feel wrapped around your throat. God, you hoped that Wanda couldn't read your mind right now.
With weeks of stolen glances and some very frustrating training sessions, Yelena finally kissed you as she pinned you down on the mats. Starting off your relationship with the widow.
--
"You know, you could always just… give up" Yelane smirked, watching as you looked up to her from the floor, you resting on your elbows as you lay on your back. She loved seeing you like this.
"In your dreams," you fought back with a breathless huff. But you were in her dreams, under her, consumed by her, giving in to her touch.
"Always," Yelena whispered as you got up.
After a few more rounds, where you could confidently say that you did put up a good fight, Yelena eventually couldn't take it anymore, the skin on skin contact, the noises you made, the way you grabbed onto her, and how good you looked underneath her.
She swept your legs from under you, quickly climbing on top of you, trapping you under her weight as her hands grabbed yours, holding them above your head. Her face was so close to yours, panting as you looked into her eyes. You noticed how her eyes scanned your face, resting on your lips, yours managing to find hers also.
When her lips connected with yours it was hot, needy, and everything you'd hoped for. Her hips grounded firmly into yours, taking her free hand to reach for your neck, gently grazing her thumb over your throat.
When the air between you became lost, your foreheads rested together, your breathing slowly turning into a small giggle.
"What?" Yelena asked, smiling at your giddy state.
"Took your time."
Yelena let out a laugh, "Shut up."
--
Now, you two were stuck sneaking around each other's rooms, because, like you said before, you were completely screwed.
You were dating the world's most dangerous assassin's baby sister, and she didn't fucking know.
The woman who was your mentor, who trained you, patched you up, and who you would also like to say was your friend (hopefully). And she was very protective of her little sister.
To say you were scared would be an understatement. Every time she looked at you, you thought you were going to implode, a confession spilling right from your lips followed by a string of 'im sorry's and 'please don't kill me.
Yelena thought it was hilarious how on edge you got whenever Nat entered the room. How your body was going all stiff, your eyes raced and your words faltered. But she also understood your reasoning behind it, even she got scared of her sister sometimes, not that she would admit it though.
--
"Hey, have you seen Yelena?" Natasha asked you, as you stood making yourself some lunch.
"N-no. No-why would I- why would I know where she is? Why would you think that… I would know - cause I don't. I don't know where she is… no."
Wanda couldn't stop the smile on her face whilst she watched in amusement at your embarrassing attempt at a simple yes or no answer and Natasha gave you a confused eyebrow raise at your response.
"…okay."
"Real smooth, Y/n," the witched laughed when Natasha had left the kitchen.
"shut up."
--
Topless. On Yelena's lap. Her tongue down your throat. Her hands palming at your brests. Your moans fill her bedroom. The movie is long forgotten.
This was how you spent most nights together, sneaking into each other's rooms. You loved it. The rush of all the lingering stares throughout the day, the passing touch of her hand on the small of your back, you linking your pinky with hers under the table. And it all lead up to the heart of the night when you could finally be with her for real.
However, not everything goes how you want it to. And not everyone knows how to knock on the door before entering a room.
"What the fuck." was all you heard before your senses kicked back in.
Your head flung towards the door where you saw the redhead, her arms crossed and her eyes glaring hard.
"Oh fuck-" you blurted out, jumping off Yelena's lap, falling off the bed as you scrambled for your top to cover yourself with. Yelena quickly stood in front of you, already having her top on, attempting to shield you away from Natasha's hard stare until you were decent.
"Have you ever heard of nocking Nat?" Yelena huffed. But Natasha didn't answer, her jaw locked in fury at finding you with her sister.
"Nat, I-" you tried.
"Don't call me that." She snapped back
"Hey, don't speak to her like that!" Your girlfriend fought back, as you stood up behind her.
"Look, Natasha, I'm sorry. We were going to tell you-"
"How long?" She interrupted, but the venom in her voice made you terrified to answer. "I said, how fucking long."
You knew how ruthless Natasha could be, she was famous for her interrogations, she did go off the books sometimes, but no one would confront her about it. But now, you were on the receiving end of it, and it scared the life out of you.
All the time you spent getting to know the redhead, the friendly conversations, the times when she was your shoulder to cry on when you got back from a rough mission. All that was gone. You were her target now.
"Don't make me ask you again, Y/n." She snarled as she took a step forwards.
"Get out," Yelena said firmly, stepping in front of her sister, blocking her from you. Although she was smaller, the younger assassin showed no fear.
Natasha looked at her sister, then over her shoulder to where you stood small, messing with rings on your fingers - which she suspected belonged to her sister. A small smile fell on her lips as she thought to herself. "I'll see you in training tomorrow, Y/n."
"Natasha-" Yelena tried to object, not sure what her sister's intentions were with you, but she couldn't help but think the worst. But Nat stood tall, her eyes still fixed on you, "If I were you, I wouldn't be late."
With that, she left.
You couldn't stop the overwhelming flood of emotions as the woman you respected the most, the woman that took you under her wing and let you into her family had looked at you like you were nothing. Spoken to you like you were dirt. You had lost her trust.
"Y/n," Yelena whispered, stroking your cheek, wiping away the tear that had fallen from your sorrowful eyes. "I'm sorry, detka. I'll go talk to her, she shouldn't have spoken to you like that."
"No… I - I deserved it. I lied to her." you whispered.
"Honey, no," she looked at you, her eyes finding yours, "She was mean to you, she shouldn't have treated you like that. I'm sorry, I didn't do anything sooner I... I didn't know she would react like that detka, I'm sorry-"
Her words fell short as you pulled her body against yours, gripping her tightly as you let out a small sob, the weight of everything that had happened hitting you all at once. She wrapped her arms around you and held you tightly, rubbing you back as she let out some soothing whispers in your ear.
...
The next morning, you looked into the mirror with anticipation, tying your hair up as you let out a long breath.
"I can go with you Y/n, you know?" Yelena reminded you, looking at your worried face through the mirror as she sat up in bed, resting against the headboard.
"I think she might just kill me if she sees me with you again, Lena." you tried to joke, but Yelena could see that you weren't 100% sure if it was actually a joke or not. "I'll see you after."
Yelena gave you a knowing smile, "I'll be waiting, detka."
…
The doors to the gym felt heavier today as you entered, the weight of them slamming loudly, announcing your presence to Natasha. She raised her eyebrow as she looked at you, then at the clock on the wall.
"Two minutes early," she said, "good choice."
"Natasha-" you tried.
"You should warm up. We're sparing today."
Shit.
Stretching as best as you could, and mentally trying to brace yourself for what was about to happen, you stepped under the ropes of the ring, turning to look towards the redhead. She noticed your nervous expression, similar to the one you wore when you were first promoted to the avengers. But this time, she didn't feel sorry for you. Because this time, you were fucking her sister behind her back.
Without any warning, she came for you, kicking you harshly in the stomach, leaving you no time to dodge.
"How long?" She asked again, as you gained your balance. But your hesitation angered her, so she left you with little time to block before her next harsh attack.
"You know," she said, as she held you tightly in a head lock, her arms almost blocking you from breathing. "If you answered my questions, this wouldn't be so bad for you."
With her words, you thought about your options; tell your mentor that you have been sneaking around with her little sister for almost 2 months now, or die from asphyxiation. You honestly did think about the latter for a second, but ultimately decided against it.
"The day before Tony's party." You replied breathlessly, as she slightly loosened her grip on you, signalling for you to carry on, "we were training together, you were away on a mission and she wanted to spar with someone, and well, you trained me well."
Nat's grip faltered slightly at your words, thinking back to all the time you did spend together, training you to be stronger, faster and more fearless. More like her. "So you really went behind my back, sneaking around when I wasn't even here." She spat back, tripping you to the ground. You didn't bother trying to get up, knowing fine well she would knock you straight back on the ground again. She had trained you well, but you were still no match for her skills.
"She kissed me." You rushed out. "And I kissed her back. because we both wanted to, Natasha. I care about your sister, so much. And I care about you." The redhead scoffed slightly, thinking back to all the lying.
"Doesn't seem like it, considering you kept it a secret."
"Can you blame me? Look at how you're reacting," you replied, gesturing to yourself after having been knocked down by her moments prior.
Natasha looked at you, down upon your body and to your face, and sighed. "She is one of the few people in my life who I would die for, Y/n." You stayed silent, deciding to let her speak. "If anyone were to hurt her, I want you to know, that I wouldn't hesitate to hurt them back. Or worse."
You couldn't help the small swallow you made at her words, "I know, Natasha. I don't want to hurt her, that was never my intention." You said sincerely. "I love her."
Natasha looked at you again, she knows how to read people, how to tell when they were lying, but she saw only the truth coming from you. You watched as the tension in her shoulders loosened as a small sigh left her lips. Reaching out her hand, she pulled you up.
"I meant what I said, Y/n. If you hurt her-"
"Yeah, yeah. I got it," you joked, running your finger along your throat to act out being killed. Nat smirked at your antics.
You both turned your head to the door when you heard it close, watching as the blonde assassin walked over to you both with a curious look on her face.
"I'm glad you're not dead," she smirked at you, "I would have missed you." She pulled you into her side, kissing your cheek tenderly, then turning to her sister "And I wouldn't have enjoyed killing you."
Natasha let out a laugh, "I'd like to see you try, blondie."
Go out on a date with Yelena would include...? (I love your fics and hcs. Thanks for all of them, you're an amazing writer)
Thank you so much, love <3.
Here's a deeper look into my opinion on how dates with Yelena would go:
Masterlist
—⧗—
- fact one: Yelena absolutely adores going on dates with you.
- fact two: you will never ever be bored, she makes everything fun.
- dates are one of Yelena's favorite things to do;
- and she's an easy one to please.
- she never had the opportunity to go on dates or be in love, so she cherishes every little moment now;
- take her to see the opera or go to an amusement park, she'll love it either way.
- that doesn't mean she wasn't nervous the very first time she asked you out;
- because it was also the very first time she was asking anyone out;
- but she stood her ground and came up to you with rosy cheeks, and a nervous but overly adorable smile;
- she literally took days to decide where to take you, but you reassured her that anything would be fine as long as you were together;
- she fell harder for you then.
- with Yelena, you'll end up learning to appreciate the little things in life.
- she loves to take you out on "simple" dates;
- walks in the park with Fanny, where she'll swing your hands back and forth while appreciating the view and your company;
- then you will stop for ice cream and she always insists on paying.
- she will want to take you to her favorite coffee shop at least twice a week;
- she likes to sit with you while sipping on a coffee and talking about anything and everything.
- your dates also become very important to Yelena, it's that time of day when it's just you and her;
- and she loves having you all to herself.
- Yelena loves simple dates and just spending time with you, she'll be happy with basically any plan you come up with.
- when going to the movies with her, you'll constantly feel her fumbling with your fingers when certain scenes play;
- she's adorable in her own way.
- she also has a passion for trying new things and different dishes;
- so be prepared to be taken to various different restaurants.
- she's always super fun to be around, always making sure you have the best time.
- and, you want to absolutely melt her heart? Surprise her;
- come up to her with an unplanned date and she will drop everything she's doing with the biggest happy smile, peppering your face with kisses before you two leave;
- she never lets go of your hand btw.
- Yelena also likes being fancy sometimes;
- for special occasions, she will take you to a fancy restaurant and be the best plus one you'll ever have.
- undeniably, she's a person with a lot of presence;
- and that presence only grows whenever you're dressed up beautifully beside her;
- her hand often rests at the small of your back and she keeps on a proud smile for having you with her.
- fact three: the best dates you'll ever have are gonna be with Yelena.
Summary: You love her, and you want to marry her. But when you struggle with your anxieties, you learn in the hardest way that the knife cut both ways.

S.H.I.E.L.D. wanted you dead so they sent the Black Widow to get it done. However, Natasha made a different call exactly as Barton did with her years ago, she’d saved you. You never understood why, and she told you that she didn’t judge people on their worst mistakes.
After that she became your mentor, your closest friend, that’s why you followed her when she learned that de Red Room was still active and operational. You tagged along because you owned her your life might as well help her get rid of those who took hers.
You never expected to meet her family along the road, much less to fall in love with her sister. But you did.
Yelena was everything to you. She had a messed up childhood just as yours were. She had that acid humor and quick wit but she’s always fun to hang with or to talk to. You never knew when it happened, but one day you woke up and couldn’t control your feelings anymore.
Nat wanted to kill you when she learned that you two were dating and you had to request Steve to send you on a mission hoping that the redhead would be calmer when you returned. To no one’s surprise, she didn’t.
It took her a long, long time to accept that Yelena was in love with you just as much as you were with her. But like a crack in a mirror, your friendship was never the same and no matter how hard you tried to talk to her about it, the damage was done.
“You said you trusted me with your life, Nat.” You tried to reason with her. In fact, she had used those exact words after a particularly hard mission right after Ultron’s ordeal and you hope you could make her remember how close you were.
“But not my sister’s.” That hit you hard and suddenly, you felt undeserving, but you kept your insecurities for yourself. Until now.
Almost four years together and you want to ask Yelena to be yours, forever. You never understood love that much, you grew up without it. But after you met her, it made sense.
It only took one kiss, the first, for you to recognize what you comprehended few weeks ago. She’s the love of your life and want to make her happy for the entirety of your life.
And here you are, standing outside a fancy jewelry store, looking at the shiny diamond on the other side of the glass and you can’t help but wonder how gorgeous it be on her finger.
However, you weren’t sure about it. Your whole life was fucked up and you had this terrible tendency of screwing the rare, good things in your life. You’re afraid of doing wrong and hurting Yelena in the process.
That’s why you’re on the outside and not on the inside of the store.
“My God, this is beautiful.” Said Wanda, joining you at the glass, looking at the same rock you were. “Are you going to propose her?” She gasped visibly excited.
You took a deep breath and spoke what was on your heart. “I wish I would.” There was something about your voice that made her look at you. “Don’t you love her?” She asked.
You looked at her alarmed. “Of course I do. There is no one that I love more or could love more.” You scrap the back of your neck taking one last glance at the ring. “But I don’t think I’m worth of Yelena’s affection that much.”
“Are you out of your mind?” She turns to you indignantly. “I’m yet to meet someone so caring towards their loved one.” You smile at your friend, but it doesn’t quite reach your eyes, for you remember the last conversation you had with Natasha.
Still fresh on your heart, her harsh words would be impossible to forget. You found her cleaning her dishes on the kitchen and realizing you were alone; you asked her blessing.
“I want to propose, Nat and I was-” She never let you finish. “Don’t you dare.” The harshness on her voice startled you.
“I don’t fucking care about how much you say you love her, but, to me, you’ll never be worthy of her love.” She wasn’t over. “You’ll destroy her life because that’s all you do. You destroy everything in your path.”
You were taken aback but not surprised. “I wish I never saved you that day. I completely regret my decision.” She left the kitchen bumping onto your shoulder, leaving you in completely shock.
Such words infiltrated and undermined the last traces of self-confidence you had. Yes, you felt undeserving of Yelena. Yes, you were damaged and yes, you loved her with all of your heart.
But what if Yelena thinks exactly as Natasha does?
Because look at you. Who would want to be with someone like you? You had more issues than one could think was possible, a past that always insists in become present every so often. Yelena’s past was dark, but yours were darker.
How could someone so amazing as her decide to marry you? As hard as you tried, you never came up with a positive answer. There was no way someone would marry you. Natasha was right.
“Caring and love sometimes is not enough, Wan.” A soft touch on your arm made you focus on her. “If not, then what it is?” You didn’t really have an answer to that, so you just shrugged and continued your way down the street.
--
She waited and waited for you to arrive, but you were late. Again. Yelena ran a hand through her hair and lets out a sigh of frustration, of course you wouldn’t come home early.
Funny is restless on the door and Yelena knows that you’re, probably climbing the last steps on the stairs. And she was right. Seconds later you open the door, immediately crouching down to greet the dog.
Your eyes land on your beloved and a frown instantly appears between your eyebrows, you see a lot of bags. Even if she were leaving for a mission, it’d be a hellova lot of clothes. Something was off.
“My love, are you going out on a mission?” The sadness in her eyes was answer enough. She was indeed leaving, but for good.
She took a deep breath, like those intakes of air one does when they’re about to dive. “I’m not.” Her lips curled down in a telltale that she was more than sad, she was broken and that hurt you more than anything.
“I’m going to stay at the compound, in my old room. I’ll send someone to get everything else.” She what? You were at a loss of words and leaned back on the door, not really trusting on your knees.
“What-” You couldn’t even form coherent thoughts. “Why?” It was a whisper, but you knew she’d heard, for she busied herself with the rings on her hand and you were all but aware of the other ring on the bottom of your pocket.
Her lips were still curled, eyes oh so sad that you had to physically restrain yourself from crossing the room to hug and comfort her. But she was breaking you, who’d comfort you?
“C’mon, do you even have to ask?” Seeing your confused expression, she continued. “Look, I’m tired of being in your way. I’m tired of being second best for you.” She was hurting more than she ever did in her life, and fuck her records were high.
But to let you go, to give up on you was the hardest thing she’d do in her life. It took her a long time to muster up the courage, but she wouldn’t be on your way. She wouldn’t stop you from being happy, even though you were a coward and tried to keep your affair a secret from her.
“Second best?” Your voice brought her out of her thoughts. “What are you talking about?” ‘uh you had the nerve’, she thought. “Why are you spending so much time with Wanda, lately?” At the mention of Wanda’s name, you gulped.
“I hm… I- we’ve been practicing a lot. She- I am working on how to control my powers.” You stuttered way much more than you wanted, but you felt cornered. You did spend a lot of time with Wanda, but for other purposes.
Now that Natasha hated you, Wanda took her place as your confidant and she helped you a lot to deal with your worries and anxieties, specially towards proposing. She even helped you to prepare the perfect occasion for your proposal, due in two days.
Anger replaced the sadness in her. “Do you think I’m blind? Or stupid?” Fuck, did Natasha told her about your intentions and now she is that mad? Does Yelena think that I don’t deserve her too?
“Every day you come home fucking late; Every fucking time I see you speaking with Wanda as if everything between the two of you were a secret; Whenever I try to ask you to spar with me, you say you’re going to spar with her…”
She used her hands as if counting whatever bothered her. “Why don’t you break up with me and assume your affair already, you coward?” Your eyes were wide open at her allegations. You were about to protest and call her crazy when you ran the past few days on your head, and you understood where she was coming from.
Ever since that day on the store, you and Wanda became closer. You told her everything you felt or that scared you and Wanda learned all your insecurities. The Scarlet Witch taught more than just to control your powers, but how to love and believe in yourself.
Little by little, day after day and you felt better about yourself just as the courage to propose sparked up in you did, hence, the secrets. Wanda helped you to get the ring, helped you to hide it and to prepare your surprise.
You were right; Natasha was right; You destroy everything in your path.
You opened your mouth but there was no sound, you felt as if the words were chocking you. You didn’t know the right things to say.
“Aren’t you going to say something?” She inquired, but you only stared at her, mouth gaping. “Anything?” Her voice broke and again her lips curled down and hell, you felt your own heart shattering.
“Lena, I-” You shook your head and she lowed hers. “I’m not with Wanda. I could never!” You took small steps in her direction but stopped midway. “Why would I be with her in first place? I love you.” You tell her, but she shakes her head, as if dismissing your words.
“Why wouldn’t you? She’s gorgeous! She looks like one of those popular girls from those stupid movies.” Her voice is one degree below a scream, something that you rarely saw, let alone directed to you. “She’s cooler than me, funnier, prettier… say any adjective and she’ll be more than I am.”
You were astonished at how low she thinks of herself, and it surprises you that she spoke as if she truly believed in every single word. Right in that moment you realized that you weren’t the only one dealing with anxieties. She was suffering this whole time and you missed it.
You tried to be deal with your demons, to be a better person for her only to fail in recognize her own struggles. “That’s not true, babe.” You tell her and your eyes lock, pain written all over her face. “You’re perfect, Yelena. There is only you in my life and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
“Then tell me, what were you shushing each other today when I walked into the kitchen?” You bit your tongue. ‘We were planning my proposal’ you wanted to say but decided against it.
“I can’t tell you that, babe.” She tried to look angered but all she managed was another broken expression. “Then I’m leaving.” She walked towards the door, but you grabbed her arm gently and plead. “Please, don’t go.”
You knew your eyes were already red from holding back the tears. “Tell me your little secret or I’m leaving. For good.” You looked at her eyes and all you saw was determination. Her heart was breaking but she wouldn’t put up with anything less than the truth.
You sighed. You didn’t want to propose like this. “Will you wait two days for me to tell you?” It was your last chance of doing something right in your life. At least for once.
Something slightly changed behind her eyes, but she had made up her mind. “Don’t you think I waited long enough already?” Every word dripped with hurt, and you let go of her arm. Your guts were churning while you slowly dropped to your knees.
“I really wish I could do this right, babe.” You tell her softly. Deprived of any confidence, but you pulled a small smile somehow. Right after you freed the little velvet box from the pocket of your coat, you opened and offered it to her.
She chocked with surprise at the brilliant piece of diamond shining in front of her. Tears began to run down her face, and you hope with all of your heart that they were tears of happiness.
“Yelena Belova, will you give me the honor of calling you my wife?” She used her hand to cover her mouth, swallowing a sob. Every millisecond passing without an answer felt as if your concerns were squeezing your heart but you waited there, patiently.
After what felt like ages, she nodded her head and you let out the air that you knew you were holding back. Removing her hand from her mouth, she spoke softly. “Yes. I do.”
You got up faster than a bullet and hugged her tighter than ever, as if afraid she’d let go. As if afraid she’d disappear before your eyes. “That was the secret, Lena.” She untucked her head from your chest to look at your eyes.
“Wanda helped me to deal with my fears and nerves. Also, she helped me to buy it, to hide and to plan how I’d propose to you.” You shrugged as best as you could, though it was hard holding her tight. “We achieved three, but not the last one.”
Realization washed over her, and she started to laugh uncontrollably. “My God, love. Don’t you fucking try something like that again, I was about to murder you or her.” She continued to laugh. “Probably both.” Your bodies shook with your laugher. Lord, you loved her.
“Nerves?” She asked you quietly after a moment. You pondered how much you should tell her for a fraction of second before replying. “I was afraid you’d say no.” You licked your lips restlessly. “And I didn’t want to lose you or maybe taking a step that you thought I was not worthy.”
She looked at you so tenderly, so lovingly that your heart started to beat erratically in your chest. She cupped your cheeks and made sure your eyes were solely focus on hers when she spoke. “No matter how hard you doubt yourself I’ll always believe in you. And love? You have my heart, that makes you worthy, for me.”
Your lips twisted into a smile on their own accord, while you picked the ring from its box and delicately raised her hand to slide the ring where it would stay forever. You admired how beautifully it shone, almost matching her bright eyes.

"You should ask her out, Kate Bishop." Yelena didn't bother to look up from her plate of pancakes, having had this conversation many times before.
"No, are you crazy? I can't just… Ask her out, out of nowhere like that." Kate rambled on as she paced around the Compound's kitchen, fork in hand as her pancakes lay forgotten on her plate.
"Well, then you'll never know if she has feelings for you too." Yelena shrugged.
Kate groaned exasperatedly. Ever since she started spending more time at the Compound she developed a huge crush on you, and she hated to admit how terrible she was in that department.
You had been living here way longer than Kate has. To be honest, Kate doesn't exactly live at the Compound, she just hangs around mostly sneaking into training sessions and sleeping on the couch until Clint makes her go home.
This morning had been pretty quiet so far, the only ones in the kitchen were Kate and Yelena. The sky was blue outside and the sunlight shone brightly on the marble countertops, casting shadows over the kitchen and making small wisps of rainbow appear through the windows.
"Will you please eat?" Yelena asked unamused. "We have training soon, you can gush about-"
"Y/N!" Kate talked over Yelena with a bright and nervous smile when she saw you approaching. She sent a warning glance to Yelena, who smirked in return.
"Good morning Kate, Yelena." You greeted both of them, rounding the island Yelena was sitting at, pressing a kiss to her cheek in the process.
Kate's eyes never left you and she did a poor job of hiding her stare, fidgeting with the fork in her hands.
You reached her with a gentle smile, purposefully placing your hand on the back of her neck to pull her down and peck her cheek.
Kate felt her face grow hot when your lips met her skin. She held her breath until you moved away to make yourself some breakfast.
The smirk never left your lips as you made yourself a sandwich, you loved teasing Kate. You were aware she felt something towards you, she wasn't subtle, as much as she might try to be. But you only found it endearing, taking your time to make her face turn red until she musters up her overconfidence and asks you out.
________
"And this is yours, just as you asked." Kate extended the ice cream towards you, despite her words, her gaze seemed anxious until you gave her a smile of approval.
She gave you a smile of her own, a gentle yet shy curve of lips that never failed to warm your heart.
It's been only two weeks since your first date, and even less since the first time you kissed her. Today, Kate wanted to go out for ice cream.
"Want any toppings?" You motioned towards the table of toppings, with a variety of sweets and syrups to choose from.
"Oh yeah." Kate beamed adorably, biting her lip as she took the chocolate syrup bottle and started slowly pouring it into her ice cream.
You couldn't look away from her, the ghost of a smile playing on your lips. She was just so, her. She was wearing just a plain white shirt and her ripped jeans, and yet she looked heavenly to you. Her dark hair was shining under the sunlight that easily came through the huge glass windows of the ice cream parlor.
Kate felt your gaze on her, she looked up and caught your eyes. A blush instantly painted her cheeks. "What?" Her voice was quiet, her breath got stuck when she felt you moving closer.
Your hand grazed her cheek, moving softly to put a couple of strands of hair behind her ear. You could feel the way her body reacted to you. "You're just so beautiful."
Kate gulped, her words dying in her throat. She wanted to pull you into a kiss, but her body was frozen. She knew you could probably hear her heart beating wildly.
It was only when someone annoying cleared their throat that the trance between you was broken. Kate glanced toward the parlor owner and followed his irritated gaze towards her hand, which was now pouring chocolate syrup all over the table.
"Oh no, I am so sorry." Kate uttered hurriedly, moving quickly to grab some napkins to clean her mess, which only ended up making matters worse. Although she figured that your happy giggles made the mess somewhat worth it.
"I think he probably hates us now." You said as you took the last bite of your ice cream, now walking side by side with Kate in the park. The wind and falling of leaves around you created a peaceful atmosphere, you watched with a smile as people far away played with their dogs.
"Nah, as long as we pay him we're fine." Kate shrugged, looking down with a timid smile, her hands resting on the pockets of her pants.
"He was definitely not happy about the mess though." You raised an eyebrow towards her, coming to a stop under a big tree on the outskirts of the park and leaning your body against the trunk.
Kate stopped just in front of you, even if her body wanted to be closer. "Well, he doesn't know how distracting you can be." Her voice was low and she only risked a glance up at you after she finished talking.
You pulled away from the tree and brought your arms up to rest on top of Kate's shoulders, embracing her to you as her hands automatically came to your waist. "Oh yeah?" You smirked lovingly, noticing the way her pupils dilated when your bodies touched.
A shaky breath escaped Kate when she nodded faintly, she was clutching at your shirt. Her gaze moved to your eyes and then your lips.
Kate felt goosebumps all over her body when you pressed your lips to hers with a smile. You kissed her softly and she held herself back from deepening it, your lips tasted of ice cream and she felt completely infatuated by you.
You pulled away, feeling Kate's lips chasing after yours, making you smile. You trailed your hand down her arm until your fingers intertwined with hers. "Come on, let's keep walking."
"O-okay." She answered automatically, her mind was still coming down from her high. Her grip on your hand was strong though.
________
Kate has been officially your girlfriend for one month, and yet, when she looked at you she still couldn't believe she was that lucky. From her place leaning against the bar, her eyes never left you. The drink beside her was long forgotten as she watched you mingle with the guests of the party, your dark red dress hugged your body just right and she could swear you were the meaning behind the word 'perfection'.
"You're drooling, Bishop." Yelena's amused voice popped up beside her.
Kate shook her head and scowled, mumbling a 'shut up' to her friend who just laughed at her. She forced her eyes away from you for a moment, focusing on her half-drank glass of wine and turning towards Yelena.
"I swear I can't decide if you're worse now or before you two were dating." The russian ran a hand through her hair and looked towards you and then Kate.
"Ha ha, I'm just still getting used to it okay?" Kate complained putting on a proud smile. "But, I'm perfectly fine."
Her composure failed once she felt your arm around her shoulders.
"Hey love, I have to go the bathroom but once I'm back; You. Me. Dancefloor." You moved your finger between the both of you with the cutest smile, making Kate's heart swell with love. Your eyes were glistening under the chandelier lights and Kate was hypnotized.
The quick kiss that you gave to her lips caught her completely off guard. She had trouble focusing, with her lips still tingling as you ran a hand over her tie and walked away with a wink.
Her mouth opened and closed once, she felt the familiar flutter on her stomach. She licked her lips and tasted your lipstick. "Y-yeah, of course." Kate breathed out.
"She's already gone, weirdo." Yelena broke into a fit of laughter.
Kate couldn't care less, all she could think about was having you all to herself for the rest of the night. And hopefully, for the rest of her life.

Thank you for reading this little story. Feedback and reblogs are very much appreciated. <3
Summary: A mission goes wrong and Yelena expects you to leave her behind
You knew it was a bad idea for the two of you to split up, but Yelena insisted the mission would go by faster. If y'all did so you agreed to take the west end of the building, and let her have the east end. Her plan was actually successful with all the soldiers being drawn to the east end. After some explosives went off alerting them to her presence. You knocked out the guard in the control room, and waited for all the traffic to past. Hoping this was all part of the blonde's plan to give you an all access pass to search. Your end without running into any trouble, and if you didn't find the chips. Then you would just go meet up with Yelena, help her finish up whatever was left of the soldiers, and locate the chips on the east end.
It only took a few minutes for you to find the lab, and the scientist gave up the chips without a fight. You left him tied up in the supply closet before calling it in.
"Yelena come in I got the goods we can head out. Meet me at the quinjet" You said into the comms.
There was no response only static.
"Yelena are you there I know the soldiers aren't that tough."
More static.
"Belova come in" You tried again getting more worried by the second. Your feet came to a stop at the exit door not wanting to leave without confirmation she was okay.
Five minutes went by and Yelena still hadn't answered back. She liked to pull pranks on you sometimes, but if this was some type of joke. There was no doubt in your mind that she would've shown herself by now laughing at the worry in your eyes. Something was wrong maybe the soldiers really were too much for her. There was a lot of them, and while she was definitely one of the best Widows out there. At the end of the day Yelena was still human.
Your phone started to vibrate in your pocket and you hurried to dig it out. Expecting the blonde to be on the other end gloating over another successful prank.
"Yelena you idiot I was actually scared this time" You answered.
There was a brief pause before the person replied, and the voice didn't belong to your partner. "Why you would be scared? Has the mission been compromised?"
It was Valentina.
You cursed yourself for being so reckless and not checking to make sure. It was your partner before talking because your boss didn't sound happy at all. "No the mission is complete I got the chip."
"Good then what's the problem? Why aren't you on the jet?" She pressed. The irritation could be heard in her voice.
"I can't get in contact with Yelena her comms are down. I just nee-"
Valentina cut you off. "The only thing you need to do is get on the jet, and bring us those chips as soon as possible."
You frowned "what about Yelena?"
"Yelena is a big girl and she can take care of herself. She'll find her own way out."
"I'm not just going to leave her behind Val." The anger in your voice was evident.
"The mission comes first y/n you should know that by now. Do you really think if roles were reversed Yelena would fight me on this?"
"I don't care that's not who I am" You shot back.
Valentina let out an exasperated sigh, and there was a loud bang as if she'd just hit her desk. "Get on the jet and finish the mission that is an order y/n. I expect to see you in my office in less than three hours."
She hung up the phone not giving you the chance to argue anymore. You let out a frustrated scream tossing the phone into the wall. It broke on impact which meant Valentina had no other way to reach out until you were back on the jet. Which was good because she would livid with what you were about to do next. Instead of going back to the jet you went outside, and found a secluded spot twenty feet away from the building. There was a lot of tree brush surrounding the area so you hid the box of chips in it. You made your way back to the the base determined to get your partner back.
The hallway leading to the east end of the building was guarded by two soldiers with automatic rifles. Pulling a smoke grenade from your belt you yanked the pin out, and threw it. Immediately the soldiers started coughing as smoke filled the room. One of them managed to get his gas mask gun, and holstered his weapon. But it was too late you took him out first sweeping his feet out from under him as he walked past you.
He fell to the floor on his back, before he could recover you were on him delivering a hard right hook to his face. Rendering him unconscious the other solider started firing off his rifle even though. His vision was blocked by the smoke you laid down taking cover as a few bullets struck the wall behind you. Your hand patted the unconscious solider down until the cold metal of his handgun touched your skin. You pulled the gun free, lifted your head up to make out where the bullets were coming from, and once you locked eyes on his shadow. You took aim and fired shooting the solider in the chest. There was a thud sound from his body hitting the floor.
With the gun in hand you slowly walked into the hallway careful not to make any noise. There wasn't anymore soldiers in sight which spiked your confusion. If Yelena took all of them out expect for those two then where the hell was she?
The hallway broke out into two pathways, you threw your body up against the left side, and peeked around the corner. There was a door at the end but it was closed. On the right side there was another door but this was open, and voices could be heard coming out of them. None of them belonged to Yelena.
In the end you decided to checkout the closed door. The other room was probably filled with soldiers taking a break figuring. They won and you were either dead or gone. You would make them pay if Yelena was seriously injured, but right now freeing her was your only concern. You tiptoed to the door twisting the door to see if it was locked. It wasn't so you opened it, slipped in, and closed it as quietly as possible.
The gun clattered to the ground the second at the sight before your eyes. When you turned around to see what was in the room. Yelena stood in the middle of the room surrounded by dead or uncontrollable soldiers. There was a total of eleven bodies on the floor. A silver glint caught your eye making you look at her wrists where a pair of broken cuffs rested on them.
"I guess you didn't need my help after all" You spoke up getting her attention.
The blonde turned around with a gun in one hand, and a knife in the other. Blood was dripping from her forehead, but there nevertheless she still wore a huge grin. "Y/N about time I was wondering when you would join the party."
"Did they capture you? Is that why you didn't answer me on the comms?" You asked gesturing to the broken cuffs on her wrists.
"Oh yeah they tried to but I let them lead me here on purpose to separate some of them. My comms got obliterated in the fight sorry about that." Yelena told you waving off your concern.
You ran a hand through your hair letting out a relived sigh. "Seriously Yel I thought you were in danger when you didn't answer.
Yelena just shrugged then motioned for you to follow her. As she began to walk away heading for the door. "Let's finish taking these guys out so we can get home.
The two of took care of the remaining soldiers without breaking a sweat, and finally returned to the quinjet after retrieving the chips. Valentina had called the jet communication system five times in the past ten minutes. Even though you dreaded the lecture you knew was coming. You figured it was better to deal with her now rather than later. Val made it clear that you were never to disobey a direct order from her again. She didn't care what the reason was the mission came first always. You nodded and told her it wouldn't happen again even though it was a lie.
Once the call was over you put the quinjet in autopilot and leaned your back. Deciding to take a nap on the way back, but a pen smacked you in the face. Before sleep could come you opened your eyes, and looked at the only culprit.
Yelena was sitting in the chair beside yours, and was turned facing you with an intense look in her eyes. You couldn't place the emotion but she looked as if she wanted to cry. That made you sit up and lean forward "hey what's wrong?"
"Why did you come back for me? Valentina told you to go on without me."
"Because you're my partner and I don't leave my partners behind no matter what." You told her with a light shrug as if it wasn't a big deal. If only you knew it meant everything to her that you were willing to do that for her. Because while you knew Yelena came from a difficult past you didn't know the whole story.
"Do you trust me to do the same for you?" She asked eyes drifting up with shame in them.
"Honestly I'm not too sure" You started reaching to catch her by the wrist. Yelena jumped up from her chair as soon as the words left your mouth. "Because I know you were taught different Yel, and it's not like anyone is trying to unteach you those ways. Okay its not your fault besides none of that matters to me. You're my friend which means I will always come for you no matter the circumstances or mission."
Yelena didn't respond instead she just stood there with her shoulders shaking. You could feel it from your grip on her wrist, and tugged on her arm gently to get her to turn around. When she did there was no way for her to hide the tears running down her face.
"You're the first person in my life to ever come back for me" she murmured. Almost hoping that you didn't hear her.
But you did and your heart clenched in your chest at them. Without thinking you stood up and pulled the blonde into your arms. She buried her face into your shoulder in effort to hide her crying. "Its okay Yelena" you whispered pressing a kiss to her hair.
Yeah there was no doubt in your heart she would dot the same for for you now.
I was wondering if I can make a request for Yelena. I was thinking of something along the lines of her meeting the reader (you decide how) and at first being really closed off and, not exactly rude but, just Yelena being Yelena y'know, not allowing anyone to be close to her. But reader ends up noticing how Yelena is always so alone and not enjoying life, so she decides to introduce her to little things she maybe never tried, like a certain ice cream or fun activity. And Yelena slowly starts to fall for her, like a lot, and she's scared because she's never felt like that and she thinks that her feelings are definitely not reciprocated, but they are. Could you make it emotional but also cute with Yelena also realizing just how touch starved she is, and how she misses the company when she's alone? Thanks you're amazing.
Introductions Matter
Yelena Belova x Reader
Ty for the request!
Natasha had introduced Yelena to the avengers all but three days ago. You were immediately told about her past and how far away she could seem, especially with not being around so many people at the same time.
You knew better than to violate her boundaries, but something in you told you to get to know her. There was a certain glimpse in her eyes when she made eye contact with you. An unsure expression you couldn’t quite place. Steve said he noticed it too.
Regardless, you took your time to even talk to her. Too scared about pushing her further away. In a way, you were told she was similar to Nat when you first joined the Avengers. She wasn’t exactly happy about new people joining, so becoming distant and cold was her way of finding out more about you.
Yelena however, didn’t seem threatening when she walked into the room. You could see she was tense, on guard but not a much as Nat used to be. She didn’t send frowns to people if they looked at her, but rather small smiles if she saw someone looking at her.
Overtime, you noticed the little things she’d do. If the compound became too crowded in one space, she’d leave. If someone started yelling, she’d leave. If someone made a remotely loud noise, she’d leave.
You took it upon yourself to make her comfortable, even though it would take a while. Natasha was doing her best but she was a regular on missions, so there wasn’t a time where she was fully focused on anything other than mission reports or mission themselves.
Walking into the kitchen, you took a note of the blondes presence leaning over the island. You needed to get a drink anyway before you left, so might as well see if she was up for a chat.
“Hey.” You greeted her, just like every single other time you saw her standing alone. She merely nodded, playing around with the cup in her hand not even close to finishing the water in it.
As you were filling your own drink, an idea popped into your head.
“I’m going out to the shops, do you want to come? I’ll show you around town if you’d like.”
She looked over her shoulder and thought about it for a bit. Even if she said no; Who were you not to try?
“Sure.” She stood straight, pouring the water down the sink before placing it down. You nodded, a smile threatening to etch onto your face. With a nod, you started walking towards the hallways, Yelena a foot behind.
You told her more and more about the town and historical information if she seemed interested. To your delight, she did, and about half an hour into your walk, she started asking questions herself.
Eventually it was becoming too dark to see, so as grown adults, you decide to head in for the night. Although Yelena didn’t seem for the idea.
“Oh, come on.” She whined playfully as you told her you should go back. “We’re literally Avengers. What’ll happen?”
You eyebrows rose, but a smile remained. She’s not been vocal with you since now, not this vocal anyway. You could barely get a hi in the corridors.
With a chuckle, you nodded.
“There’s an ice rink 20 minutes from here. If we run, they still might let us on.”
She looked at you confused. You laughed and reached down to grab her hand before pulling her in the direction of the ice rink.
She gasped when she saw it. A tree stood right new to the rink, colourfully dressed up in lights. It was a week before Christmas so the streets were bound to be lit up with brightly coloured lights and decorations.
You spend hours outside. After you both got into the rink, and failed horribly at keeping balance even with being Avengers, you ran around town looking for different things for Yelena to see. In all honesty, it was Yelena dragging you around now, excited to see what the new amazing looking thing was.
By the time you went back into the compound it was 2:03 am. Way past your bed time, if you like. Both of you were smiling and talking about how you almost fell on your face in the ice, then how you held into the sides for the rest of the time there.
“We should totally get ice cream tomorrow.” You said and she nodded happily, finally reaching the compound living room where you had to leave to your own rooms.
“Where have you been?” Natasha voice rang out. She leaned her body on the door frame, with that little smirk she does. “I thought you went missing.”
“We weren’t gone that long.” You resorted, looking at the clock. “Oh.”
Nat laughed, pushing herself off the frame so she could stand straight. You said your goodnights and went to your own rooms. Well, you did. Yelena was talking to Nat about everything you’d shown her today, which led her into staying in Natasha’s room for the night.
You smiled as you laid down on your bed. You’d got to knew her far more than you thought you would’ve. Far quicker too.
Maybe your plan worked.
It didn’t occur to you or to her that you’d touched her. Or how much it would affect her - in a positive way - or at least she hoped it was. She only noticed it when she was laying in Nat’s bed, the sudden need for your hand in hers again.
She was so confused at the feelings she was feeling. I mean, you met her a month ago and you know suddenly know everything about her family, as she did yours.
She felt a little embarrassed for just throwing information about herself at you, but then again relieved that she could talk to someone and not have a care in the world for a bit. She was always cautious, but with you it felt like she was free without the need of being on guard constantly.
For days, she’d ask you to go in a walk with her even if it was just to talk. Ever since she was separated from her ‘parents’ she’s not felt a single ounce of joy. But now with you by her side, it felt different. A better different.
You showed her the little things that she probably missed out as a child. You taught her how to ride a bike, since only Natasha knew how to do that. You volunteered to put up the Christmas tree this year, so you could have Yelena try. You took her to zoos, amusement parks, Disneyland. Anything that you thought would make her relive the childhood she was deprived of. You’d do anything to see the cute pout she does, always followed by a smile.
You also made sure to give her the little things, like hugs and reassurance. You doubted she got hugged regularly, and if she did you don’t think she remembered it. So, when you got comfortable enough, like barge into your room without knocking and not be bothered comfortable, you gave her little random hugs.
She appreciated them greatly, so much so that it annoyed Nat to have to listen to her rants about it everyday.
“What the fuck did you do to Yelena?” Natasha stormed into your room, immediately heading for your bed. She looked tired, and you rarely saw Natasha tired. She was the one to tell you to go to sleep at a sensible time, yet today seemed different.
“Excuse me?” You spun in your chair, watching as she climbed onto your bed. Her eyes were already closed, an exhale leaving her mouth. You wanted to laugh, but you didn’t want to mess with a grouchy Natasha.
“She won’t shut the fuck about you.”
“Why are you in my bed, then?”
“Because she spoke all night about you, and how kind you are, and how you do this and that. It’s your fault I couldn’t sleep, so I’m in your bed.” There was a long pause. “And I need to get away from her talking.”
This time you laughed a smile etching into your face and you’d pin back in your chair and got back to your mission reports. Nat was sleeping by the time you finished, so you let her nap as you left to deliver the reports to Maria.
Unknowing of the time for your new mission, you sat in the living room, watching whatever was on the TV until FRIDAY called you to the plane hanger.
Yelena walked in and sat next to you, close enough so your things were touching. You didn’t mind, even though there was three other sofas for her to sit on. You smiled at her as she got comfy next to you before looking back at the TV.
She was far too interested at the screen to notice your staring at her. You replayed Natasha’s words in your mind as you watched her eyebrows furrow in confused at whatever the TV was playing. Eventually, she yawned and she heard you chuckle.
At his point she was leaning on you, your hand over the back of the sofa as her body pressed up against your side. You liked the warmth, clearly so did she.
Looking over at you, she rolled her eyes as she yawned again.
“Didn’t sleep?” You chuckled.
She shook her head, looking around nervously. “Nat kept me up.”
Another laugh threatened to escape your lips but you kept quite, trying to buy into her awful lie. Of course Natasha didn’t, it was her to keep Nat awake.
She looked up at you, catching your gaze as you continued to stare at her. Silence enveloped the room, even though the TV was still playing, all you could focus on were her eyes.
Nothing was said. Nothing really needed to be said as you leaned down and pressed your lips against hers. She didn’t kiss back immediately, too stunned to even breathe. Finding no sigh of refusal, you cupped her face with in of your hands to bring her closer.
That’s when she came back down to earth. All she could focus on was your soft lips against hers, something she didn’t know she needed until now.
You pulled away, keeping your face close to her, looking for a reaction. When you got nothing but heavy breaths and a cheek-pink Yelena, you smiled.
Seeing her flustered wasn’t something you thought you’d never witness, so you looked over her features, collecting every little detail you could find before her cheeks went back to their natural colour.
“You owe me 20 bucks.” Sam said from the door frame. Steve signed, digging in his pocket for the money he was about to lose.

Since you joined the Avengers not too long ago, you’ve been training your arse off to impress the rest of the team, to show them you could be trusted and this is what you wanted, to make a difference. Wanda took you under her wing when the Avengers were on a mission, noticing your powers were similar to hers but all she saw was a scared woman who didn’t want to fight against those doing good.
You quickly became good friends with Natasha who agreed to help you train while Wanda would work with you to help you keep your powers under control. “Y/l/n, are you ready?” Natasha entered the compound’s kitchen. “Go easy on her today, Nat” Wanda looked up from her book. “Wanda, it’s fine” you smiled at them both before following Nat to the training room.
“What are we doing today?” you asked, eager to start your session. “Well, we’ve been training for what, 3 months now? I think you’re ready for a challenge” Nat replied. “I like the idea of that, what’s the challenge?” you asked as you both stopped at the entrance of the training room. Nat smirked at you then looked into the room. Yelena was doing her daily workout with a punching bag. “You’re gonna fight Yelena today” Nat spoke, turning her attention back to you. You watched as Yelena continued throwing punches at the large red bag. Natasha noticed a swift of deep green aura twinkle from your eyes. One of your powers was being able to see things in great detail, no matter how far you were from the object or person. Your eyes followed the sweat that Yelena had worked up. Nat tilted her head to the right slightly, watching the green aura dance around in your eyes.
“Will that be a problem?” Nat asked, making you blink instantly, your aura disappearing. “Sorry, you want me to fight…Y-, you want me to do what?” you struggled to word your sentence. “If you can take on Yelena, then we’ll move onto something more complex for you” Nat explained. “Just remember everything we’ve gone over the 3 months. You’ll be fine. Come on” she added, pushing the doors open. Hesitant to follow Nat into the training room, swallowing the gulp in your throat you remembered the things Wanda taught you to keep yourself calm. You weren’t angry but you found it hard to be around Yelena.
“Yelena, can we borrow you for a moment?” Nat walked over to the fighting ring in the middle of the room.
“Natasha, I am not in the mood for your games today. I just want to train in peace” the Russian accent was thick. “Please, it’s important. I need to see if Y/n here is ready to move on to the next step” Nat begged while you stood beside her, not making any eye contact with Yelena. “Agh, fine” she groaned, wiping the sweat from her forehead. Nat smiled, “Thank you” she spoke to Yelena then turned to you, “You’ve got this, just remember everything I’ve taught you,” she said before taking a seat to watch.
“I do not have all day, are you coming up here or not?” Yelena spoke to you, annoyed that Natasha interrupted her session. You nodded, still unable to make any eye contact with her.
You stood in the ring facing Yelena, eyes locked on the floor. “You have to look at me, y/n” she spoke again. Slowly raising your eyes, they met wither green eyes that you loved but would never admit it. “Okay you two, get on with it,” Nat said from her seat. You threw your first move at Yelena who easily blocked it. Throwing your next to one, just to be blocked again “This will be fun” Yelena chuckled to herself, making you even more nervous to fight her. You threw a 3rd move and within seconds Yelena had you on the floor of the fight ring looking down at you with a smirk. “Is that all you’ve got?” she asked. You got up and tried again, different moves this time. Natasha sat watching how unfocused you were. Yelena had you on the floor servals times before Natasha called it quits.
“Looks like she needs more time Natasha” Yelena commented as she left the ring, leaving you laying there looking at the ceiling. Natasha hovered of you, “What was that?” she asked confused, “I thought you had this” she added. You could feel your face starting to heat up from embarrassment. You quickly got up and avoided eye contact with Natasha. “I’m trying to teach you everything I know, if you’re just going to throw some basic moves how do you expect to learn anything? You should’ve been able to at least trip Yelena by now” Nat spoke in a harsh tone. “Nat, stop. I’ve had enough” you snapped, quickly leaving the ring walking towards the door. “Where are you going?” Natasha called out as you slammed the door closed with your powers.
Yelena looked back at Natasha, “Sore loser” she commented. “You could’ve gone easy on her” Nat replied. “How will she learn if I let her have it?” Yelena rolled her eyes.
You used your powers to fly yourself to the roof of the compound, sitting on the edge looking into the distance. “You just had to stuff it up. You couldn’t just fight her like you know you can” you spoke to yourself in frustration. Despite everybody being so kind and accepting of you here, you felt alone. You had no family and no friends to call your own. Now you’re at a compound with people who have grown to love each other as a family. You wanted a space to call your own, a place you could escape from when things like today get a bit too much. Your deep green aura glowed from your hands and eyes as you manipulated the trees in the distance to form a hidden spot just for you. Unaware Wanda standing behind you, watching you as your hands moved, throwing balls of green here and there before you flew over to your newly made comfort spot.
Before you could get comfortable Wanda unexpectedly joins you. “Are you okay?” her voice made you turn around, “agh, could I please just be left alone?” your tone was stern. Wanda shook her head. “You know, it’s okay” she stood there watching you. “No, it’s not. I just made a complete idiot of myself. Natasha has been training me for months and I could even fight Ye…I just couldn’t do it” you explained. Wanda’s head tilted ever so slightly at the fact you couldn’t even say Yelena’s name. “Take a moment to calm yourself, when you’re ready, come back to the training room, okay?” Wanda walked out, leaving you to have a moment to yourself. Rolling your eyes, you knew Natasha was going to make you train together whether you felt like it or not.
You took your time before returning to the training room where you were met with Natasha and Wanda. “Welcome back” Nat looked at you. You didn’t say anything. “Come here and let’s try again” she added. “Nat, I’m not going to fight” you paused, working up the nerve to say her name, “I won’t fight Yelena” you spat. “You’re not. You’re going to fight me” Wanda said, standing in the middle of the ring. You felt relieved you could show Natasha that you have actually learnt a lot from her. “Come on, get in there” Nat encouraged you with a smile.
You wasted no time; you go into the ring and under Nat’s strict rules of no powers you successfully showed Nat everything you’ve learnt. You had Wanda pinned to the floor of the ring multiple times, Wanda giving you a tough fight. Natasha stood, watching with a proud expression. She knew you could do it, just not with Yelena.
When Wanda left the room, Natasha came up beside you. “Why can’t you be around Yelena?” she asked softly hoping not to overstep. “I can” you lied. “Really?” Nat’s left eyebrow rising. “What? So, what, I couldn’t fight her, she’s too skilled for me right now” you excused.
“No, Y/n. You can fight her; you’re just fighting her in the wrong way”
“What do you mean? I’m not fighting her” you started to panic. “You can’t make eye contact with her; you struggle to say her name and turn into a whole different person around her. I say I think you know what I mean” Nat replied with a smirk. “Tell her, it’ll make things easier for you with an actual answer” the Russian added before leaving the room.
Natasha’s comment played on your mind for the next few days, this annoyed you. You wanted to ignore the way Yelena made you feel. Unsure how she felt you knew Natasha was right. “Get it off your chest,” you told yourself when it was just you and Yelena alone for once.
“Y…Yelena” you spoke softly. She looked at you with eyes of beauty and care. “Yes Y/n?” she questioned. Suddenly you got cold feet. “Noth…nothing, it’s fine. Sorry I bugged you” you spoke fast as you stood up from your seat. “Y/n” Yelena looked confused. “I’m sorry, I have to go” you chattered. “Y/n, sit down” Yelena’s voice was stern, kind of scared you a little but you sat back down, not making eye contact with her. “What is going through your mind?” she asked. Shaking your head, “Nothing, I just, its, nothing” you studder. “Y/n, if you have a problem with me, tell me.” Yelena now has the wrong idea of you and the way you were around her. “I don’t hate you, Yelena, don’t think that” you looked at her.
“If that is true, why do you act so” she paused trying to think of a nice way to explain it. “I like you” the words running out of your mouth. Yelena smirked at you. “I was hoping that’s what this was” she replied. “You knew?” her comment surprised you. Yelena chuckled, “Y/n, I am not stupid. I knew” her smirk grew bigger. “Why didn’t you just, I don’t know, tell me to leave you alone or something?” you asked, still unsure where her feelings sat. “Because I didn’t want you to. I was waiting for you to say it”
“You were?”
“Yes. I knew you would one day, I was hoping for it to be sooner but what can you do?” Yelena winked at you causing you to blush. “Come here so I can finally kiss you” Yelena spoke without breaking any eye contact. With pleasure, you stood up and walked over to her. Gently taking her face into your hands she stood up, placing her hands on your waist, and pulled you in softly, kissing your lips with care. “Say it again, please” Yelena smiled as you pulled away, looking at her deeply in the eyes, “I like you Yelena Belova” you smirked.

Author Comments: I feel like I might make this a mini-series, who knows! Again, I have added some fake IG content (any images used of Flo with somebody, pretend it’s you when stated).
The next day Flo had a photoshoot to get to so you spent lunch at your home with Billie. Nervous to check your phone for any notifications you may have after posting on Instagram last night. “What do you think Billie?” you looked down to Billie who was lousing around at your feet waiting for any food scraps you may ‘accidentally’ drop. “Yeah, you’re right. I should just get it over with, I can’t avoid social media forever” to added as if Billie was understanding your thoughts. Picking a beef strip out of your leftovers from last night’s dinner you gave it to Billie then grabbed your phone from your pocket. Not so much to your surprise, you had a few texts. You never had your social media notifications on. You learnt that mistake when your loving fans would spam your phone with messages and taging you in their posts.
You loved your fans so much; you knew without them you would never be able to do your job. It’s the fans that watch the films in the cinema, it’s the fans who stream the content, it’s the fans who buy the merchandise, it’s the fans that make you the ‘Y/n Y/l/n’ that the world is learning so much about you. You put so much hard work into every role you get but you know in many other ways, your fans work just as hard to get your name out there more and more every day.
You started with your unread text messages before opening Instagram.
Mother Bear
Very proud of you for posting about you and Florence this morning x
You had a close bond with your mother, she has always supported you with everything and not to mention, she absolutely adores Florence, I mean who doesn’t? Your dad passed away 4 years ago in a truck accident. He worked long hours and unfortunately fell asleep behind the wheel. Everybody knew you were ‘daddy’s little girl’ and his death hit you hard. But you promised him you’d make it big and make enough money so he would never have to work again.
Ride or Die
I can’t believe you FINALLY told everybody!! You guys are so cute!! I miss you y/n! xx
BF/N (best friend’s name), has been your best friend since grade school. In high school you both were ladled the troublemakers but not in a bad way, more of a “never get any work done together” way. They were the first person you had ever come out to and they helped you build up the confidence to tell your parents who never ever made you feel any different.
Opening Instagram, you could see your DM’s had doubled in numbers, your notifications were still buzzing every 2 seconds and your followers had gone up. That never bothered you though. Scrolling down your feed you see Florence had posted. A smile came to your lips as you saw her post.
Reading the comments, you were overwhelmed with the love and support from not only your fans but also Flo’s. Of course, there was always going to be some negative comments and some threats here and there, but you remind yourself that those people have no insight into your life. They don’t know you as Florence does and they sure as hell don’t know Florence as you do.
Fans were now tagging you in all types of Florence photos and videos. They get excited whenever you notice them for their loving support. One post caught your eye, a candid photo of Florence from early this morning. You liked the post and left a comment.
Florence arrived home in the mid-afternoon. She found you in the study re-reading the script to Goodnight Sunshine. You were in your zone of studying the script the way your father taught you to study any form of large amounts of text, taking notes and highlighting your parts. You didn’t even hear Florence come into the room.
“There you are darling” she came up behind you, wrapping her arms around as you stay seated. Jumping slightly, “Hi Hun” you smiled kissing the top of her hand. “How was the shoot?” you asked, leaning back into her touch looking up to her as she looked down at you. You could tell she was tired.
“Long but I had a lot of fun” she smiled before placing a soft kiss on the top of your nose. “How was your day?” she asked.
“I think Billie has had enough of me” you laughed. “Oh you didn’t tire her out with your random thoughts did you?” Flo joked back. “Hey, my thoughts were very much in need of an opinion” you smiled. “And did you get the opinion you were after?” Florence asked as she brushed your hand out of your face. “Shhh” you winked. Flo smiled followed by a light chuckle. “I’m going to go have a shower, I need to get this make-up off” she spoke, kissing you softly before leaving the study.
While Flo was in the shower you put the script to the side, getting up making your way to the kitchen to start dinner. Usually, when Florence was gone all day you would make her dinner. The kitchen is her happy place and she loved cooking for you. Lazy Sundays were her favourite day of the week. She’d try to cook something she’s never cooked before, making you excited to see what was for lunch.
Florence loves a good courgetti and luckily for her, you were craving some. Going to the fridge you grab the ingredients required. Washing your hands thoroughly then making a start.
An hour passes before Florence makes an appearance downstairs. “Ahh, just in time darling,” you say with a smile while dishing up dinner. “Mhm” Florence hums, “did you just make some courgetti?” she walks over to you kissing your cheek, her accent thick. “I sure did” you blush before handing her a plate. Florence grabs a fork from the draw and taste tests the meal, “agh, this is heaven” she says closing her eyes. “I’m glad you like it” you replied as you grab 2 wine classes from the countertop, “white or red?” your question followed. “White please” Florence smiled before walking over to the dining table.
You topped your glasses up, grabbed your meal then joined Flo at the dining table. “So you haven’t told me anything about this top-secret movie of yours” a smirk formed on Flo’s face as she waited for your response. Knowing she’s been wanting to know more about your project, you raise an eyebrow, “Nah I’m pretty sure I did” you joked causing her to chuckle. “Come on, I wanna know already” she begs.
“Well, it’s an LGBTQI+ themed film. I’m playing Kaitlyn Ruler who is Samantha Brooks lesbian lover. Samantha has a rare form of cancer and needs to travel from Argentina to LA for treatment, but her parents are homophobic and won’t allow her to see me after they found out about Samantha’s sexuality. Re-reading the script, there is a lot of hard emotions that I have to show. I’m just so glad Hailee landed Samantha’s role otherwise I think I would be more stressed than I am” you explained before taking another bite of your meal.
Florence understands more than anybody how much stress and nerves that come with a deep and meaningful movie. You didn’t tell her everything about the movie because you didn’t want to spoil it for her. With you both being actresses, you have learnt a lot from each other. Florence has given you so much advice in the past for movies like this, relating to her experience with Midsommar.
“You’ve got this baby; you’re going to do so well! I know how long you’ve waited for a movie like this to come your way. No matter many nervous you get, just remember how much you’ve wanted this” Florence kept her eye contact with you seriously. She knows how bad your anxiety can get and she hates how she can’t help you this time around when it happens.
Her sparkling green eyes said a thousand words, you understood the message she was mentally sending you. “You’ll be okay, I love you, everything is okay, you are safe and you are okay” was what she’d repeat to you whenever your anxiety started to play up. You smiled at her, showing her that you knew what she was saying in that pretty mind of hers. “I’ll be okay” you spoke.
“I know” she finally smiled again, “you’re Y/n” she added.
After dinner you both did your normal routine of leaning up, you once again stood in awe at the woman who stole your heart for the better. Thinking about the limited days you both have left to share before Florence takes off to the UK for her movie, your body had a mind of its own. Placing the clean plate on the countertop, throwing the dishcloth on top, you gently grab Florence by her waist, pulling her close to you before kissing her unexpectedly and passionately.
Thinking something was wrong Florence pulls away slowly after kissing back, “what was that for?” she smirked looking at your lips again. Your e/c (eye colour) eyes followed her as she looked back at you. “I love you” fell from your lips. Flo’s eyes sparkled a little brighter as a smile formed on her lips, “and I love you” she replied, kissing you softly once more.
Your father always told you that saying I love you to your partner was a big deal, it was something that you should never throw it around, especially early into a relationship. You considered your dad to be an “old school lover”. Your parents were married and had been for 17 years before he passed. He would still ask your mother out on dates, he’d still bring her flowers and care for her the same way he did when they first met. “Saying I love you gives mixed signals to the other person, if you don’t mean it, don’t say it.” He told you when you were in high school after your boyfriend at the time broke up with you. You were young and believed you were in love. You never understood what your father was talking about when he explained “You’ll look at somebody one day and out of nowhere you just know. It took me 3 years to feel it with your mother.”
But watching Florence as she washed the dishes, you finally understood what your father meant. You knew this was right.
The rest of the night you and Florence spent on the couch, cuddled up to one another watching some movies on Netflix that you guys have had on your watch list. You lay with your head resting on Flo’s stomach as she played with your hair, a soft smile started to creep on your face. “I need my boots back” you spoke softly, catching Flo off guard. “What?” she replied. “The boots you stole today” you looked up to her with a smirk. She rolled her eyes playfully, “I like them thou” she smiled. “Tell you what, if I can take one of your hoodies to filming then you can keep the boots” giving her playful puppy eyes. “You don’t have to ask baby, whatever is mine is yours” she kissed your forehead. She sensed how much you were thinking about the time away from her and it worried her, slightly.
It wasn’t long into the 3rd movie that Florence sensed you had fallen asleep, snapping a photo of you as she continued to play with your hair until sleep had also taken over her.
Florence woke up the following morning to see you still asleep on her. She smiled to herself as she noticed you both fell asleep while watching movies. Without waking you, she slides herself out from under you, replacing her body with a throw pillow. She made her way into the kitchen and made herself a tea then sat in your back yard at the large table that would cater for a game night when Flo’s family came to visit. Enjoying the morning sun and watching Billie chase the birds that would come onto the grass looking for bugs, she smiled when she felt your arms wrap around her shoulders.
“Good morning baby” you kiss her cheek before taking the seat to the right of her. “Sleep well?” she asked taking a sip of her tea. “I always sleep well in your arms” you blush trying not to sound too cheesy. Flo looked at you, the sunshine shining in her eyes just right for them to look like green diamonds and once again you found yourself falling harder for her. “What would you like to do today?” she asked breaking your thoughts. Thinking about her question for a moment, pouting was something you always did when you were running ideas through your mind. “How about we take Billie on a little hike?” you suggested. “I Love it!” she turned to Billie who was now chewing on one of her favourite stuffed toys “Billie, wanna go for a walk?” she said, Billie’s attention instantly went to Flo, getting up and shaking her tail as she knew what walk meant.
“I think she likes that idea” Flo turned back to you with a smile.

“Thank you so much Mr. Robins! I won’t let you down!” you said excitingly before hanging up the phone. Taking a deep breath before leaving the bedroom to re-join your girlfriend in the kitchen as she was preparing dinner. “Who was that love?” Florence asks as she continued chopping the carrots. “Just mom” you lied. “Is everything okay? You look like a little pale” Flo looked to you as she placed the chopped carrots to the side of the chopping bored. You wanted to wait until you had worked everything out before telling her the big news. “Yeah, just a little tired” you replied in a convincing tone making your way behind the kitchen island reaching out to grab a sliced carrot.
“Hey!” Flo slapped your hand away playfully, “that’s for dinner” she adds as you gave her cheek a kiss. “Do you mind if I go lie down for a little bit before dinner?” you asked taking a sip of Flo’s wine. “Of course, baby” she smiled before giving you a quick kiss.
You walked upstairs to your shared bedroom clothing the door quietly behind you. Grabbing your laptop from the bedside table you set yourself up on the bed, opening your emails.

You were excited to work on this film. The script blew you away with so many different emotions and getting to work with so many amazing people also helped you feel more excited to start. The only thing that weighed down on you was being away for 4 long months. This wouldn’t be so stressful if Florence wasn’t due to start filming her upcoming movie next week. She had already discussed with you that she’d be away for 3 months, and you understood. Both of you did. You made it work.
If Florence finished filming at 6am you would wake up and facetime her until she fell asleep. On her days off, you’d spend most of the time on facetime. Texting every day, talking about anything that crossed your minds.
You met Florence back in 2019 at the Little Women Premiere. Your manager managed to get on the list. It was one of your first big events. You remember feeling alone as everybody gathered at the reception, ordering their alcoholic drinks before the movie started as you all waited to be seated. You stood in a corner as you watched the room full of all different types of conversations and little room to move. You began to feel overwhelmed and quickly found it hard to breath. That was until a young blonde stood in front of you trying to get your attention. Your mind was elsewhere until she placed her hands on each of your shoulders.
“Hey, look at me” she spoke softly getting your attention. Your eyes moved the crowded room to the women with green eyes. “Breath” she spoke again noticing she finally had your attention. You matched your breathing with hers as she smiled. “Are you okay?” she asked.
“Thank you” you smiled lightly.
“I’m Florence, I noticed you seemed a little lost”
You nodded with a little chuckle. “There’s just a lot of people here” with a smile, you told her your name.
“It’s lovely to meet you Y/n. Grab some water and relax. Everything is okay. I must go as I am needed but please, enjoy the movie!”
and just like that she zipped through the crowd of people, and you wouldn’t see her again for a few months. She sent you an Instagram DM a few days after the premiere.
The rest is history really. Although you guys aren’t public. Florence understood your feelings about having a whole lot of randoms in your business, especially when it comes to relationships. She always told you that she’s comfort with whoever knows, if it’s the world or just your close friends and family. She didn’t push you to make a statement but always said if and when you’re ready to just “say the word”.
You sat on the bed looking through the other emails your agent has sent through. Flights and other details were taken care of by your agency, you just had to pay for it. You knew you had to tell Florence you got the part. You wanted too so badly but the cloud of thoughts of you guys growing apart during the filming period worried you.
You could hear that Flo had put some music on softly while she continued cooking. A soft smile made its way across your lips while you thought about how she’s probably dancing around, singing ever so softly to the lyrics. After taking a shower you heard a gently knock on the bedroom door.
“Y/n?” you heard Flo whisper as she peeped her head in.
“I’m awake love” you replied with a smile. Flo walked in with a confused look. “I thought you were having a nap?”.
“I took a shower instead; I feel better now” you walk towards her with a smile. “You smell good too! Is that a new body wash?”
You pulled her closed to you as you let out a soft chuckle. “Yeah it’s apparently supposed to reduce stress levels”.
“Stress levels? Is everything okay love?”
“Can I tell you at dinner? I’m starving and the house smells so good!” you place a kiss on her forehead causing her to smile. One of the many small things you’d do that she loved the most. “Of course, baby, it’s already plated and calling your name” she smiled, taking your hand as you both went downstairs.
It’s no secret that Florence knows her way around the kitchen. When you first had moved in she’d surprise you every day with something different and tasty! She’d show you how to cook basic things and slowly started showing you more complex dishes. Whenever she had to go a mini press tour, she’d make a few meals for you and freeze them so you wouldn’t go hungry. She knew you were capable of cooking for yourself, but you knew this was a way for her to relax so you never asked her to stop.
“Now what was it you were going to tell me?” Florence asked as she picked up her fork.
Trying to hide your excitement, “I got the role for Goodnight Sunshine!” you smiled. “Oh my god babe!! I’m so proud of you!!!” Flo basically jumped from her chair to hug you tightly. She covered your face with kisses, she usually did this when she was extra happy about news, you’d tell her. “When does filming start?” Flo asked as she returned to her seat. “April 17th but they want me to fly in on the 14th to allow my body to adjust to the time zone difference. Which is a little ridiculous because Argentina is over 4 hours ahead of us” you explained as you stabbed the stir-fry with your fork.
“Argentina? How long for?”
“4 months in total, 2 in Argentina and 2 in LA” before you took a bite of the vegetables on your fork you looked up to Florence waiting for her to swallow what she had in her mouth.
“That’s not so bad, I mean this might be a little hard to find time for us” she spoke.
“I know, that’s why I waited to tell until I had read the details” You hadn’t explained what the movie was about to Florence, you always did this. You wanted to make sure you either had the part or not before you would tell her what was going on. “We have just under a week to spend together” you added. Florence was due to start filming one of her many next up movies on April 6th.
“Well, I best we make the absolute most of it!” She looked up and smiled to you, eyes telling you that everything will be okay, and you guys would work something out.
After dinner you help Flo clean the kitchen up, she started humming a song she was listening to earlier as she stood over the skin scrubbing the dirty dishes. Looking at her in awe as you dried off the clean dishes and placed them on the countertop. Taking in the scene that stood before you, knowing how much you will miss this. “Flo” you said ever so softly you weren’t sure if she even heard you. “Yes love?” she drained the sink twirling to face you, filling the space between you, grabbing her softly by the waist. “I’m ready” looking into her green eyes that made you see the sense in almost everything.
She kept the eye contact and smiled, “I know, baby” she replied pulling you in for a kiss.
You woke up, looking at your phone the time read 2:12am. Florence sleeping peacefully on her stomach exposing her naked back. You placed a soft kiss on her right shoulder before opening the Instagram app. You were finally ready and comfortable telling your beloved fans about your 2-year long relationship with Florence. All your close friends and family already knew, and Florence’s family loved you. You got along well with her family pretty quickly.
Placing your phone back on your bedside table you rolled onto your left side and pulled Flo close to you. She slightly woke and got comfortable intertwining her fingers with yours as you held her tightly placing more soft kisses on her shoulder, this time being her left.

It was a quiet day at the compound, everyone took to themselves as it was an emotional day. It had been two years since Natasha’s sacrifice. Two years without everyone’s teammate, friend or sister, without your best friend.
You woke up without Yelena by your side. Everyone missed Natasha, but you and Yelena had the closest bond with her. When Natasha came back from her ‘Red Vial’ mission she brought her sister Yelena along. The two were separated since childhood but had an instant reconnection after their shared mission. Yelena soon joined the Avengers and got her own room at the compound.
Throwing on one of Yelena’s hoodies, you left your bedroom to find your girlfriend. Not wanting her to go through today alone and not wanting to be alone yourself either. In the kitchen you find Wanda staring at an empty coffee cup. “Hey, how are you holding up?” you asked moving closer to the girl. Wanda turned to face you and you notice the tears forming in her eyes. “I was just thinking back of some memories with her. How about you?”
That’s when the tears start rolling down your cheeks. Wanda gets up and gives you a tight hug. The two of you stay like that for a while, comforting each other, until you hear footsteps coming closer. “Y/n, Wanda” Steve nods his head greeting the both of you, with a somber look on his face. He takes you aside placing his hand on your shoulder, “I was just coming to find you. I wanted to go to the gym, but I saw Yelena was in there. I didn’t want to bother her, but I though you should know, since you know today is-.” He stops his sentence, looking down. You nod your head and shoot him a ‘thank you’ before heading towards the gym.
Once you round the corner to the gym you see Yelena punching one of the punching bags. Moving closer you see that she’s punching it with a lot of aggression and little to no control. You were scared she was going to hurt herself, especially because the wasn’t wearing any boxing gloves nor did she tape up her hands. So, you called out her name, but she doesn’t seem to hear you, probably too caught up in her thoughts.
Walking closer to her, you position yourself behind her, carefully avoiding her arms from hitting you as she still hasn’t noticed you. Before she can strike her next punch, you wrap both of your arms around her, making sure she can’t move her arms. “I’m here” you keep saying as you feel her body slowly start to relax.
You move the two of you to the wall a couple feet away and sit down on the ground when you feel Yelena’s legs starting to give out. Putting your back against the wall for support, while Yelena is sitting in between your legs, back still pressed to your front. Holding her tight while you hear her break down and cry. You feel her trying to move, so you release your hold on her slightly. She turns around in your arms and puts her head on your chest, her crying being muffled by the sweater. You feel her tears making your sweater wet, but you don’t care. You just keep holding her and rub her back, trying to sooth her pain.
After a while Yelena’s breathing starts going back to normal. You move the arm that was holding her close to stroke her hair gently. She wipes her tears before looking up at you, “I’m sorry, I don’t know what happened.” Cupping her cheeks and wiping away a tear she missed you say, “You have nothing to apologize for.” She leans into you again, now actively hugging you back.
“Thank you.” Yelena says looking at your face again, “I know today is a hard day for you as well.” You nod, trying to stay strong for Yelena. “Actually, Wanda said something earlier that gave me an idea. I have to ask if she’s willing to do so, but would you like to come with? I think it might make today a bit better.” Yelena says she’ll come with you and stands up, holding out her hands to help you up.
Hand in hand you walk to Wanda’s room, you knock on the door. Wanda let’s you in and you explain your idea. “Earlier you were saying that you were thinking back of memories with Nat, do you think you could show us your memories and possibly some of mine as well?” Wanda thinks it’s a great idea and invites the both of you to sit down on her bed. Wanda closes her eyes to focus on a memory, when she opens her eyes they have a soft red glow to them, moving a hand to each one of your heads making the red mist flow from her hands to your heads. Once both your eyes turn a dark shade of red, she shares her first memory with you.
I’m walking behind Steve about to meet up with some of the Avengers. Steve said we needed to talk over a plan to get the Sokovian civilians to safety. We walk into the building, “Romanoff” Steve says as Natasha enters the building from the other side. She looks me up and down and says, “Is that my jacket?” I halter my step looking over at Steve who replies, “She’s with us.” Natasha looks at him confused, “That still doesn’t explain the jacket.” Clint enters the building and starts talking about the mission, quickly taking Natasha’s mind of the jacket.
Wanda retracts her powers, and you all share a laugh about Natasha, her ability to focus on a jacket during a major attack. Reminiscing about how much Nat loved her leather jackets. Wanda asks if you would like to share a memory next. You close your eyes thinking of one, while Wanda gets ready to share your thoughts.
I wake up from loud banging on my door. I’m worried something bad is happening, so I quickly get up to open the door. Natasha storms in as soon as the door is slightly open, pushing me to the side. “Why aren’t you dressed yet?” She asks looking me up and down. I look over to my nightstand to look at the time, “ehm because it’s 5am.” Natasha shakes her head and walks over to your closest, grabbing you and outfit and throwing it on the bed. “Put that on and meet me in the kitchen in 10 minutes.” She says walking off and closing the door behind her. I get dressed in the running shorts and shirt she picked, brush my teeth, and put my hair in a quick ponytail. A little under 10 minutes I join Natasha in the kitchen, she hands me a granola bar and puts a thermos bottle full of coffee in her backpack. “Nat where are we going this early” I sigh, not at all excited to be awake. “We’re going on a hike to see the sunrise from the mountain top. Now eat up and let’s go.” We made it all the way to the top of the mountain in time for the sun to rise. It was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever experienced.
Wanda stops sharing your memory once it’s finished. “Nat always did like to wake up early.” Wanda says. “She sure did, we went on many early morning hikes like that after. It became our thing, we would do it at least once a week. Maybe we could all do it together sometimes?”
Yelena speaks for the first time since going into Wanda’s room, “I would really like to do that sometime. I want to experience the things she did, get to know her more, during those years before we reunited, through your stories.” You take her hand in yours and give it a soft squeeze before you gently rub your thumb over the back of her hand. “I would love to share more memories with her. She was truly an amazing person. I miss her every day.”
Wanda nods, “I do to. She brought all of us together and I’ll be forever grateful. And I’m always here to visually share memories with the both of you, it was nice to do it together.”
The next morning the three of you wake up at 5am, eat a granola bar and get some coffee ready. Hiking up the mountain you talk about some more fun memories that each of you had with Natasha. Once you reach the top, you show them the spot you and Natasha used to go to and take a seat. As you sit down the sun starts to set. You’re all silently taking in the beautiful view. It felt like Natasha was sitting right next to you, which made a tear roll down your face. You smiled, you hadn’t felt like she had been with you, but now you know she was.
