hello people! the name's Hana ( 18+ she/her ) crying uni student who makes a lot of bad decisions. this is my lazytown (writing) sideblog because I've fallen for this pure show again and I might as well make the stay comfortable
so, i know I mentioned about writing again, but that would have to wait for longer because there was a death in the family. it was sudden and its still taking a bit for stuff to sink in. im gonna have to focus on just recovering and then catching up on missed school work. thank you to those who sent me messages before about my return but im gonna have to disappear again for awhile
Prompt idea! How about something happened to one of Sport's eyes (poked, chemicals got in there, nothing /permanent/) and while it recovers, he had to wear an eye patch. He can't do anything too Extra while wearing it cuz he doesn't have depth perception. Robbie wears his Rotten Beard costume to cheer him up.
Sportacus can’t help but feel a bit frustrated by the situation. It had been a slight mishap during one of his rescues, one that ended with him yelping in pain, a hand covering his eye with a broken branch lying next to him. The kids had understandably been scared but he had assured them that he’ll be fine.
Thankfully, there’s no permanent injury. He just had to cover it up while it recovers. Out of the options given, he chose a simple medical eye patch, something white that would still match his uniform. Having this injury doesn’t mean that he’s out of action. He could still move around, jump and flip and look after LazyTown.
Though, it quickly became obvious that it’ll be tougher than he expected. Having only one functioning eye at the moment, his depth perception took a considerable hit. He knows how to judge distances but he can’t tell the exact range. Just something that small is enough for him to miscalculate jumps from one surface to the next, leading to more than one embarrassing stumble.
In the end, the kids were the one who told him to rest up for the day. They promise to play safely so he wouldn’t have to come to their rescue. It stings something fierce but he understands that they are worried for him, which he feels guilty for.
He’s the hero who is supposed to keep the town and its citizens safe. He should be the only one worrying.
That’s how Sportacus found himself sitting on one of the park benches, hunched forward with his elbows on his knees, chin resting atop splayed palms. What he initially thought would be a slight problem turns out to be a lot more trouble than its worth. He’s able to move around, but without the level of speed and precision that he’s so used to.
Apparently, he’s becoming a bit of a liability in his current state. It’s not explicitly stated, and he doubts that the citizens would even think that way but the thought curls around his mind. Just with the combination of everything, he can’t help but feel… blue.
Just as he lets out a sigh, something comes at him from his functioning view. Instincts kicked in and he flips over the bench, stumbling slightly but keeping his balance. His uncovered eyes widened at the figure before him.
“Robbie…?”
“Argh, who is this handsome Robbie fellow you speak of? It is I, Rotten Beard!” It’s been quite some time since he last saw this costume but there’s no denying the full pirate outfit that the villain wore, complete with the beard, eye patch and… balloon sword? Ah, that was what ‘attacked’ him before.
Sportacus looks a bit confused. It’s not usual for Robbie to recycle his old costumes. “What are you–?”
“Alas, you prove to be a worthy adversary, even with that!” Rotten Beard points at his eyepatch. “But copying me does not mean I will go easy on you! We still have a score to settle from last time!”
Again, nothing’s really clicking to him. That adventure had been so long ago that he can’t particularly remember the details. Sure, there had been an unmasking of his disguise but he didn’t think it’s anything that warrants a second encounter.
“I challenge you to a duel, you scallywag!” The disguised villain continues in his pirate-y accent. Another balloon sword is pulled out and it’s thrust into his hands faster than he could blink. Sportacus blinks, gaze flickering from the sword to Rotten Beard.
“Are you sure you want to do this?”
Rotten Beard might just look a tiny bit exasperated before it’s covered up by a scowl. “Of course! Show to me that you’re still a worthy adversary to the great Rotten Beard!”
Oh. Oh.
Sportacus understands now. The realization causes his lips to curl up into a large smile. Robbie is trying to cheer him up. He knew the self proclaimed lazy villain had some good in him.
“Wipe that smug smile off before I cut you to ribbons!” Rotten Beard demanded, looking just a wee bit embarrassed. Sportacus swallows down the thank you in favor of pulling off that supposedly smug smile.
“Well then, you’ll have to work for it, oh great Rotten Beard.”
The pirate looks a tad surprised by the sudden snark but it pulls out a wide smirk from him.
“I’ll be teaching you a lesson for that lip!” He settles a few feet away from him, brandishing his balloon sword.
Sportacus allows himself one more happy little smile before getting into character himself. It would only be fair to give Rotten Beard a proper duel, after all.
Robbie, down on one knee, with a ring in his hand: Sportaflop, would you do me the honor of foiling my plans, of annoying me every single day for the rest of our lives?
Just wanted to say love you, miss you, feel free to come back when you want to because your mental health is more important than anything else! Love you
hey, thank you very much for this message. and thank you also to all the anons who've sent me positive messages all this while. im sorry ive never responded to them, but its in my inbox and it helps when i look back from time to time. sorry that ive basically been mia for a long while now. tldr life sucks, lost everything on my laptop when it fried and health is a rollercoaster. ive recently started a new semester, which is both stressful but also one way where i often get motivated enough to write. i cant make any promises that ill write anything concrete in a while but i want to slowly start writing for enjoyment again. this fandom is a blessing and i would like to contribute more if i could. thank you for being patient with me and i hope to those who's reading this would have a nice day c:
[ vague continuation of that one idea??? me @ brain: why must inspiration hits when I'm waiting for my next class to start ] The silence stretched for what seemed like forever. Neither of their gazes looked away, seemingly transfixed on the etches that marred torsos, arms, shoulders -- it felt like they were littered with them. Big. Small. Faded. New. Sportacus felt a strange emotion sparking within him. It wasn't disgust, no. It felt like... a desire to protect? Seeing Robbie with those scars... What had happened to LazyTown's villain all this time? Robbie too went through his own emotional roller coaster. Giving his profession, he should have expected it but actually seeing the flippity elf covered in scars... His eyes flickered to the faded mark that was dangerously close to his heart. Could there have been a moment where he wouldn't have crossed paths with him? It was obvious that questions weighed heavily on their minds. But neither were willing to break the trance, knowing that doing so will result in a talk and for Robbie at least, he wasn't sure if he was willing to answer just yet. Still, reluctant curiosity eventually won the emotional war so the silence was finally broken with a simple, "What happened?" Sportacus blinked, seemingly dazed for a split second before he exhaled, lips forming an almost wry smile. It looked wrong on him, Robbie distantly noted. "You have to be more specific." His tone was light, like he had just commented on the weather. Robbie licked his dry lips, weighing his options before -- "The one on your... torso. What...?" He almost wanted to take it back when the light dimmed from the hero's eyes, a glazed look taking over, as if he was caught in the exact moment. Then he blinked, shook his head and smiled that wrong smile again. "You're not the first villain I've met." Robbie winced at the implication, his brilliant mind easily filling in the blanks. For a moment, he wondered if he could ever go that far. While Sportaflop was annoying and he'd been trying to get rid of him, it wasn't like... he was actively trying to rid of him permanently.
it’s a cold day and these two are out at a park somewhere. robbie sees couples holding hands together and high-key wants to do the same but he doesn’t want to make it so obvious. in the end he’s just ‘sporty, my hands are freezing’.
this cute oblivious bf goes all oh! and takes of his gloves. ‘you can borrow mine if you want! they’re really soft and comfy. i mean, it’s probably a bit warm already cause i’ve been wearing them but you can have it!’ flashes the ol’ sunshine smile
and while it’s not what he wants, robbie is just *softly smooches his forehead* because gd if he’s floppity hero ain’t the cutest gosh darn elf you ever met
the first day I return to uni, I find the storage room where students keep their stuff for the semester break got ransacked. thankfully, my stuff was mostly untouched but man is this a sign for the upcoming semester
Thinking about your Sportacus sickfics gives me fuzzy feelings inside ❤️❤️
That's honestly one of the best compliments I've received. There's nothing more pleasing to me than to know that my fic where Sportacus is Miserable™ gives someone the Good Fuzz
[ just a smol drabble to ease back into this writing game ] While Sportacus is humble in nature, he would not deny that in most aspects, he had Robbie beat. Optimistic, active, friendly -- it seemed like every positive trait is pinned to his chest. The hero would never go out of his way to push these into his face but sometimes, it just slips out. So what if he did a triple backflip to get over the gate? And was there any other way to grab that apple beside making another flip? It just so happened that Mittens the kitten needed saving so of course he had to grab her before dropping safely to the ground, not a hair out of place. Robbie often voices his displeasure and it's just a back and forth argument until there's a kiss and mumbled words against fabric. He says he's not jealous and while his expression says otherwise, Sportacus believes him. Robbie's Robbie and Sportacus is Sportacus. They each have their own strengths, advantages, niches. In his opinion, there's nothing to be jealous of. Though he has to admit, there is one thing that has him pouting when Robbie decides to lord it over him. "Hey Sportashort, bet you can't reach this level," Robbie says with a mischievous grin, waving his hand at the area near his nose. "Without jumping." Sportacus knows he's not short. Robbie is just really tall. Still, he won't back down from the challenge. Knowing Robbie, the villain would gloat about his victory throughout dinner and he was really hoping to spend some nice quality time with him. "Of course I can!" Sportacus confidently replies, a bright smile on his lips. He closes the distance to judge the height he needs to reach. With a deep breath, he stands on his tiptoes, wobbling slightly but remains upright long enough for the top of his head to touch Robbie's hand. "See! I told you I--" His words abruptly cuts off into a squeak of surprise when he feels a warm pressure on his forehead. Robbie's arms automatically wraps behind his waist when the shock made him stumble back. Sportacus resists the urge to just dive into the nearest bush, cheeks reddening at the deep, rich laughter that made his heart as tingly as the remnants of the kiss on his forehead.
-waves nervously- hey to everyone! firstly, i'd like to apologize for basically going mia the past month or so. stuff happened, tears were shed and i've experienced a variety of sickness / pain that was mostly caused from overworking and exhaustion but! my workload has finally been cut by a huge chunk! now I can actually try and get around 6-7 hours of sleep aside from the usual 3-4 I've snagged over the month. i have about 3 weeks before I return to uni and start my 2nd year but until then, i'm gonna grab as much proper rest that I can this also means that I'll slowly get back into writing again! I have a ton of half finished works here and there that I'd like to get my hands on again! while I'm not going to promise anything since things can get dicey if I don't play my cards right, I'll probably have a one shot up this coming week thank you all for being so patient with me! and for some reason, I'm close to my next milestone in followers??? like where did y'all come from I was basically gone for like a month or two. still, thanks a lot I really appreciate it! perhaps I should do something for this next milestone? we'll just have to see. until then, thanks for reading and I hope y'all have a nice day!
sorry for just the string of vents but just. life has been tiring. i’m in pain, experienced sleep paralysis and had an unexpected breakdown. i’m usually calm, have to be calm or act as the mature one. i’m also a worrier. i worry about my loved ones a lot. with how stressed and tired I was, i never expected to have just broke down when I tried to reason calmly. I was stressed, tired, worried and it all just came out. cried in the bathroom for half an hour bc what blew over was something I only now realize was an issue that I’ve kept pent up for years honestly.
it sucks, you know, when you know it’s going to be fine but you just keep because your brain just comes up with all sorts of scenarios. I know I’m going to be fine but now, I’m just tired.
sighs okay so i apologize for the being completely mia. long story short, i’m still really hecking busy, leading to exhaustion and longer moments of short term memory loss and I recently hurt my lower back so i’m in a lot of pain with no painkillers to take off the edge bc of personal reasons orz
i’m truly sorry to my rp partners as well as my followers for the asks that I still have yet to answer. motivation and energy is at an all time low now but I can’t exactly take the time off to relax bc even with a hecked up lower back, i’m still the only able bodied person in the household during the day to do whatever chores that requires heavy lifting ( dad is old + bad back, mentally handicapped brother, sis in law that’s six months in with the first baby in the family so no way am I going to let her do anything stressful ) so i’m stuck with everything
good news is that I only have three more weeks to do this! and I get paid the housemaid’s salary so I still got me some money during my break! just gotta survive and hopefully gather enough energy to start participating in this fandom again. i’ve seen loads of new writing and fanart and I wish I could contribute too!
i really missed ya’ll and i hope ya’ll are doing okay in your life!
whispers okay so I'm slowly working on the prompts but a fun idea hit me when I saw a cute headcanon post. The drabble I have in mind requires quite a number of OCs, depending on the scenes involving Sportacus and Robbie. So... instead of creating names and brief descriptions, I'd like to include you! If you'd like to be included in my silly drabble, please reply to this post with your name, pronoun and a brief description of either your looks and/or personality! The 'OCs' are going to briefly interact with each other as they watch the scenes unfold so descriptions would help a lot! I can't remember from the top of my head the exact post and OP, but the hc was the 'what if Sportacus and Robbie were regulars at a grocery store' and the employees just slowly became accustomed to their antics. Thanks for reading and I hope ya'll have a nice day!
