I never met your gaze, though it felt like our souls touched, or met long ago.
Perhaps the Gods immortalized our love and sorrow in the stars,
But we were never made of stardust, only flesh and bone.
Poor souls, created at the very beginning,
As the Big Bang tore through time and space,
Dividing our tainted hearts
Like parallel lines, aligned,
The skies were generous enough to paint your eyes,
So I’d never forget their color, even after a thousand lives
But Earth is cruel and unforgiving,
It does not care about living flames
“Whatever burns should be put out,” it says.
And I couldn't blame the Earth,
Because I too fear the fire as it is,
Warm at first, but burning with ease.
