Right! I’m getting asked for links and such about the new (old) platform. So here it is! (Link in the bio for Instagram) Vero was introduced back in 2018 and many people from Instagram and Facebook jumped over. It was slow, didn’t load half the time and buggy. They didn’t expect so many people to jump over and weren’t ready for it. Well it’s 3 years and I’m going back and staying there. It works like Instagram/Facebook/Twitter in one platform and I have more control over who sees what and when. I also won’t get notifications that my post or comment has been deleted by the algorithm because the program deemed my words offensive (even to family members and close friends). I also won’t run the risk of having items/photos taken down because a program decided that DRINKING TEA is a form of weapon or ammunition! Vero will be my one place where everything is posted. It also links up to Apple Music and Facebook. So any post you see on Facebook are a result of me posting to Vero. I’ll be disabling Instagram as much as I can as it will basically be the last chain in the link of social media. Vero posts to Facebook (sometimes) and Facebook to Instagram. I’ll be keeping subs.tv but will wait till they make their dashboard a little more user friendly. You may also notice a link called Odysee. This is the non bs version of YouTube. This will also backup any videos you post to YouTube incase YouTube decides to remove your account or demonitise your video. Haven’t done any form of sewing in 9 years and this is my attempt to get back to sewing. With the Gumeracha medieval fair coming up in May, the child wants the most elaborate ranger costume from the fighting fantasy novels he’s been borrowing from me. Figured he can be my forced excuse to see again. And its working since he will most likely give the costume to the op shop once it’s all over (that and he’s growing like there’s no tomorrow). I like the pouch but I made very mistake under the sun! These are easily corrected but my brain thought it would be an excellent idea to cut (not measure), sew all together and do it all backwards 🙃. But at least with every mistake my brain clicked 🕯 So, I’ll be making pouches and other little things like cloaks and hoods, with whatever material is left over after the medieval and Viking fairs. And if you can guess my favourite dnd class (with sub class), I’ll give away one of these dice bags when I get to making more of them. I’m sort of back, but still enjoying my time off social media. Anyway, seed sowing!! Winter is coming up and I like to start sowing seeds early to I have enough food for autumn and winter. I’ve always hated those times in between where food doesn’t seem to grow fast enough to eat so this is the solution. Next tuseday is the best time to start sowing seeds for root crops. I’ll direct sow the carrots but all other root veggies I’ll pop into trays first. Mainly because it’s going to get hot and then cold again! I can’t live without this diary!! It takes the stress of having to remember the times and phases for planting and helped me figure out other phases for planting that I didn’t even think of! Plus it also helps out with nutrition and lymphatic drainage times! Today marks Lughnasadh for some, Lammas for others, the Windy season to other witches and the Harvest season for me down here in the Southern Hemisphere. I don’t celebrate Lammas, and I no longer celebrate Lughnasa for what it is as I’ve never believed in the Irish gods, no matter how much Nan wanted me to love them, and st Mary. To me, this is the Harvest. The season of panic, watching everything I had sown during imbolc flourish and giving thanks for everything that has come and gone. Does anyone else get a sense of panic and anxiety as you start to see the light fade faster after Midsummer? Because I sure do! I’m like a squirrel trying to complete everything at once before the cold comes in. Not a fan of the cold!! Anyway... Today is so windy that it’s been perfect for cleansing, candle and soap making. Cooking everything I can possibly cook while doing all the other chores. Like set up a little feast of things from the garden and whatever else I managed to cook. Now, after my ranty rant, I have gone back to storing out my seeds for the next planting month as I actually embarrassed myself with how many seeds I have hoarded over the last 2 years. I went online to get more seeds, because apparently my brain is addicted to buying seeds instead of using them all up, but then I thought I should have a look at my stock before getting more. And well.... this is the result 😅 So I won’t be hunting for more seeds unless it’s some rare heirloom I don’t have and with a lot of the seeds I do have I’m thinking I’ll raise seedlings and start selling them till they’re gone or sell the seeds to seed friendly states. I’m sorry, but most of the time WA and TAS are no seed/plant sending zones. I have a lot of perennials and so many seeds! Man did I make the mistake of opening my dms! My life, my craft, if it triggers you, is not the place for you. I will not go vegan because you deem it necessary; it makes me incredibly ill due to the high amount of amines, histamines and salicylates. I won’t put a warning on posting “keto” foods because YOU are uncomfortable. It’s my life due to being pre diabetic because I followed horrible online “health” trends. Mainly high carb diets 👍 My images are dark because I find it pleasing. I am not dark and grumpy till provoked, like now.
