Aphrodite’s sugar scrub spell

This face scrub is my own concoction and works better then any store bought face mask. You can save it in the fridge for up to two weeks or make a smaller fresh batch every time you feel your skin needs that extra pickup.

Things you will need:

Small air tight jar (if keeping longer then one use) or bowl

Tumbled rose quartz crystal - Self love

Parsley - Sacred to Venus and Aphrodite. Brightens skin and fights bacteria. 

Sugar - Drawing romance to you. Exfoliate agent.

Honey - Sweetens your appearance. Slows down ageing process. 

Olive oil - Sacred to Aphrodite. Moisturizes skin.

Lemon juice - Purifies your spell and pairs well with love spells. Clarifies the skin.

Rose petals - Symbol of love. Soothes irritation. 

Place rose petals into the bottom of your bowl or jar and set your rose quartz over top of them. Pour a small amount of each ingredient over the quartz, envisioning them pulling the self loving properties from the stone and into the scrub. Mix all ingredients together to form a thick paste. 

Massage over the face avoiding eyes and wash with a warm cloth. Then enjoy your smooth exfoliated skin!

Note: Don’t forget to remove your quartz after and wash it thoroughly to be used again!

Giant AF House Cleansing

I’m sore, sweaty, and overall proud! I just did the biggest House Cleansing spell/ritual!

So I’ve been feeling a bit more negative energy throughout my house and decided that I was going to get rid of it. Started off taking the chairs and mat off of the front porch.

With a broom I swept away all of the dirt, pollen, and negativity off the porch (and away from the door). The entire time I was doing this I am softly chanting: “Dirt and grime and negativity, Leave this house and leave us be!”

I could feel the negative energies slowly starting to be swept away which just gave the spell more power. I swept the entire porch: walkway, sides, pillars, and ceiling continually chanting.

Then I got out my All Purpose cleaner. This bad boy is used literally for EVERYTHING. It is very easy customize to fit whatever task I need.

The base is made out of Distilled Water and Castile Soap. The mix there alone is gentle enough to use but if you want to add some extra strength to the mix get some essential oils. For this mix I used Peppermint (good for banishment), Lemon (banishment and brings happiness), and Orange (helps boost happiness) oils.

I used the solution to wash down the light fixtures and the front door.

When I was washing the lights I said a little spell about keeping the dark away and protecting the house. For the door I did a slightly different spell, this one for letting only laughter and joy into our house and being strong enough to block the negative energies.

This whole process took me about two hours, but I am so satisfied with the results!! Not only was the front of the house cleaned but when I walked in I could feel a shift in the overall energy of the house!! While it was a lot of work it was very much worth it!!

Something about Lughnasadh

One of my favorite Sabbats. Why?: It gives me so much energy and productivity I need for the next months of the year.

I know that there are some similar posts out there, but I feel like there is definitely more info about other Sabbats and I want to add something from myself.

When you can celebrate it: 1st August

Colors: Orange, Yellow, Green, Light Brown, Gold (wear clothes which have these colors on, put the candles around or on your altar having these colors, put nice gold eyeshadow on your eyes, paint your nails light brown, make some art representing these colors…so many options)

Food: Important part of this day. Bake a bread. You won’t regret it. Make a soup, I personally think that those spicy ones are perfect for this day. Eat an apple during the break in a job. Drink the beer in the evening with your friends or partner. Are you the lucky one and have enough time, then grill a bit, roasted meats are bae on this day. Add some berries and grapes to your diet for a day.

Decor: I live in a village so I can go in the morning and get some fresh corn or wheat from the field to put on my altar. But maybe for you, the closest field of anything is first behind seven mountains and rivers, no worry, print some great pinterest/tumblr/weheartit photos of wheat, fields, sunflowers or anything that reminds you of summer and put it around. Make a corn dolly. Go flowers picking, like OMG SUNFLOWERS, make them a part of your family.

What else to do: Go out and enjoy the nature. Maybe it is going to be very hot outside. Tan: light brown is a color of Lammas so go on. Is your skin already brown: even better. Share with the food with your friends or family. Make a small gift for your friend that has to do with summer. Go to the swimming pool or to the beach: typical summer activity and yeah it should be summer-ish. Make a picnic. Pray, thank the Mother Nature/Goddess/ Gods, anyone who you believe is responsible for the beauty of August. Make an ice tea with mint. GUYS, I am such a big fan of mint on Lammas: It is refreshing, healing and gives you so much productivity. Go to the forest and pick the chanterelles. They’re still growing. Craft something.

Have fun. Collect some summer memories. Nature is changing every day, soon you notice that you missed something important out there, so focus on it on that day. Don’t worry if you don’t have so much time to do everything.

~Offering Stones~

This is a great way to give back to the earth when collecting anything from it.

The item you are taking is making a sacrifice of itself to you it will be bent to your will and needs.

Giving back after you have taken shows respect to the place you took it from and ensures nourishment for the plant or earth or water what ever it may be that you value its sacrifice.

Or a simple thank you if you don’t plan to return to the place you took from these stones are great for travel altars.

You do not have to make an offering or if you don’t have the available items or money or if you don’t have the means to make it.

A simple offering of corn meal also works.

Offering Stones Recipe:

2 Cups Flour 2 Cups Warm water 1 Cup Salt 2 Tbs Olive oil (vegetable oil works as well) 1 Tbs Cream of tartar

That is the simple recipe for plain stones you can get creative as you like though and add herbs, dried flowers, essential oil (a few drops) Biodegradable glitter, food coloring, stones, the sky is the limit! Keep in mind they need to be biodegradable don’t put charms or plastic into these

Combined the ingredients in a bowl first to get out any lumps. Then put in a pot and cook on the stove on low heat! It will come together quicker than you think.

It will form a dough once formed and you can touch it without the dough sticking to your fingers, put it on a surface to cool kneading gently to work what’s left of the moisture into the dough.

Form your stones get creative and while working with the dough set your intentions into it keep love and light into your heart as you make them remembering you are giving back to mother Gaia and her beautiful majesty. The God and Goddess Smile upon your workings dear one.

Now once the stones are complete (you will yield quite a lot my batch turned out 203!! Keep in mind I was using a mold which you can use!)

You may leave them to dry for a few days in a dry warm area. However depending on your humidity and where you live (basement, mildew or moldy area, damp apartment etc.) I highly recommend baking them in your oven at 200 F (93 C) keep an eye on them!

Then after that you are ready to give back to the universe happy crafting and blessed be~ 🌻
