Trapped in the talkative cycle
I think the eeriest part of being a disabled adult has been realizing how many people want to believe you’re choosing to struggle, because if it’s not a choice then that means it could hit them too
Somehow being a person does not come naturally to me
Orgasm denial. Orgasm anger. Orgasm bargaining. Orgasm depression. Orgasm acceptance.
It's so frustrating when people assume I'm not actually polyamorous because I get jealous sometimes. Nah bitch I just know that a need isn't being met and I communicate that shit.
Like of course I get jealous sometimes I'm a human with feelings. But I know that jealousy isn't about my partner, it's about me.
I also fundamentally and philosophically believe that I cannot "tie my partner down". That I view it as controlling to tell my friends they can't have other friends. So it feels equally controlling to say my theoretical partner can't have other sexual or romantic relationships.
But that doesn't change that I get jealous. And it's not about what you feel, it's how you handle it.
sometimes home is a person
please don't say that
Tumblr has a very weird inconsistent philosophy about stealing.
Well no, it's quite consistent. Don't steal my stuff (art, writing, etc) but I can steal whatever (movies, tv shows, other forms of art and commerce).
Like there's so much complaining about how AI steals art and deprives the artist of credit and potentially money. Which is valid because it does.
But how is not paying for a movie not also stealing? Just taking it.
And yes, paying for streaming when they take off movies is shitty and if you pay for the copy of a movie specifically to then company decides to take it back that is also stealing. But that's beside the point.
I'm not particularly mad about it. Hell I don't care. But it's bizarre.
I'm not really opinionated in a particular direction but this is so true. how is the "is tracing art stealing?" discourse website also bothered about paying for their music
If it's from an individual artist, then I will pay for it as best I can.
If it is produced by or distrubuted from a corporation. Then I do not care.
I would never DARE steal credit from a commission that someone is using to keep the lights on.
Disney, or WB, or whoever else should ALREADY be paying their creators FAR more than the fare of a single streaming service ever could.
Individual artists are people.
A movie produced by Paramount is made by a corporation, which is NOT a person and can therefore get ROUNDLY fucked.
See that's a bizarre philosophy to me. Like. One person is okay but a large group that works to produce, direct, act, write, etc the entertainment we consume is not?
Bigger projects take more people.
Like billionaires are bad because you can't ethically make that much and it always results in exploitation and wage theft.
But I still don't see how two wrongs make a right.

I feel like one aspect that's forgotten when age verification is brought is....
Neglectful parents aren't going to stop being neglectful when their kids are locked out of the internet.
The parents that everyone bemoans when age verification is brought up aren't going to suddenly start watching their kids.
Same for helicopter parents. They aren't going to stop being helicopter parents and complaining about things they think their children shouldn't see. They're just going to go back to saying the same stuff about other things.
Age verification will not stop helicopter/controlling parents. Age verification will not stop neglectful parents. Age verification will not keep kids from 'seeing stuff they "shouldn't" see'.
It's just gonna lead to the same song and dance that's happened for ages, except this time kids aren't going to just....go to other spaces because (at least where I am) they don't got those.
It'll just lead to kids being more crafty or lead to them doing what the parents from when those 'have you seen your children today' advertisements were a thing did.
That is, go places they shouldn't. Do dangerous shit they shouldn't.
It'll also just lead to rising mental health issues and in some cases, children not being able to reach out for help/support systems.
Age verification doesn't solve problems. It just causes more issues for everyone, especially children.
stay vigilant. there are still people out there who will try to convince you that eating fruit is somehow bad for your body
daily affirmations: i am allowed to be weird on tumblr. i am allowed to post stuff that makes me seem crazy because it's fun to do that. no one is watching me panopticon style they are just following me normalstyle. i am allowed to be weird on tumblr.
i dont knowwwwww
cant stand when a mocktail costs as much as actual alcohol. Like i guess i would understand it if they used really fancy ingrediants but sometimes its like soda + juice in a nice glass for 9$ and its like cmon
I failed to notice the original tweet below and i just assumed this post was just about the artistic process in general, not nsfw art specifically, and just accepted that yeah sometimes you gotta rub that thang till the job is done
honestly just a good mindset in any creative endeavour
you are fifteen thousand generations removed from stone tools
to be clear you are fifteen thousand generations removed from the invention of stone tools. not from the end of stone tools. modern humans are still using stone tools.
Flawless tags, @baddywronglegs
I thought you meant we were descendents -of- stone tools
your father was a handaxe and your mother smelt of microliths
Yeah, we’re about 190 generations since the beginning of Bronze Tools. And to be clear, 190 generations since Arsenic Bronze tools came into use. Tin was later (and as soon as possible, I think everyone was relieved to figure that out.)
