Today's special story: I found my voters registration approval letter! I'm sure it arrived a while ago but with all the people in my house, mail seems to get lost all the time. I forgot to share this photo of the amazingly delicious lobster roll I got from Luke's Lobster in #parkslope . As usual, it was super amazing. The first time I went here, it was because a coworker really wanted lobster rolls. My boss recommended a different spot but it would have been impossible to get there. After some #yelp help, we found Luke's and the rest was history. It was a crazy bus ride to get there and back but so worth it. My boss, who LOVES lobster rolls, had the taste of Maine and it was so good, she called me on the weekend because she got lost looking for the restaurant! 😂 (at Luke's Lobster Park Slope)

Having brunch with the best soon-to-be-marrieds (at Verde on Smith)

"I love it when we're cruising together." After a very anxious Saturday, my mom arrived back in Brooklyn after being in Georgia for a month. Today, I took off from work three hours early to accompany her to a "pre-trial conference" where I saw just how much she's been affected by having to deal with two years of workplace #bullying and six months of leave (and lack of income). I'm a natural crybaby and I even tear up when people cry on TV #itstheworst so watching my mom cry and freak out while I tried to stay calm enough to talk to her lawyer and the other people we encountered was just too hard. Driving down the Belt Parkway, right along the water, was the kind of soothing that we needed afterwards. It just reminds me of times when things were simpler; listening to the lite music station while my mom drives down the highway and watching the sun set beats being an adult for today. #anxiety #sunset #brooklyn (at Belt Parkway)
