He was born in a small pack inside a small village in a forgotten place. Greed, avarice, and corruption ruled the place since its birth but worse than you imagine since it was such a small community. Things were bad, omegas were enslaved, and alphas ruled the place. One would think such a small place would be peaceful and good, but this wasnāt the case in this village, the leader ruled with an iron fist and people had to obey.
Louis was such an innocent boy, such a sweetheart that everyone knew what he was going to present before he even presented. However, that wasn't a good trait in this village, because people could use him and hurt him, sell him even, and ruin him in ways they didnāt want to, so his mother put him to work on the farms far away from people in order to shelter him.
So, he lived a sheltered life for the first 12 years of his life. He was loved and protected by his family and siblings, of whom he had 6 to speak of. Louis was well-behaved, and he was very helpful around the farm never missing a day and never missing a lesson.
However, his life was about to take a drastic change when a stranger was hired to decimate his pack. The man was killing everyone on the farm, and who knows if the entire village as well, he only knew his father had put him in the cupboard to hide him and told him to keep quiet and still. He heard the screams outside, sobbing and covering his mouth in fear trying to do as told and trying to keep quiet while crying. His parents, and siblingsā¦all gone. He knew, he just knew, and he couldnāt bear the thought of life without his family, without his farm! Why had this happened, why?
All was quiet after a while and he decided to come out of his hiding place, the place was littered with the bodies of the ranch hands and his family, he continue walking and crying until the pain in his heart could not let him move anymore and he fell to his knees by his motherās corpse grabbing her in his arms. It was then the assailant found him. The man (Liam), however, stopped short of killing the boy who was merely 12 years old. Louis, still a sweet child, found himself close to death and, before him, the bodies of his parents. The man chose to spare the boy and told him to run.
So, Louis did. He took off with nothing but what he had on. He left the village, and he ran and ran until he tired himself and fell over. A caravan found and rescued him hours later. Fed him, gave him water to drink, and offered him work. With nothing in life to speak of now⦠he accepted.
Still, with heavy pain in his heart, he wondered why this had happened to him, but he never asked out loud or spoke much. He was spared but his family was not. It wasnāt fair.
The other kids his age picked on him, bullied him when the adults weren't looking, and he never dared say a word. This was all he had! What would he do if he lost it too? He was different and quiet, and no one forced him to say a word except his bullies, which he endured quietly.
He presented omega at the age of 17, a bit later than most of the kids his age, but he still presented what everyone had always suspected he would. That didnāt help with the bullying and just made things worse for him, making him quieter.
At 24 years old, he decided he had enough of the abuse. He took what little belongings he had and set out to travel away from the caravan on his own, knowing he could die by nature's hands. That was preferable to what he got, the abuse, and the pain he was so tired of.
He traveled for years passing from one village to another looking where to settle down, his knowledge growing more and more. He loved inventing and creating new things that could be useful to himself and others. He was a full adult now, he wasn't so innocent anymore, but he definitely was still naive and still a sweet man.
Soon, he fell head over heels for the son of the chief of a village he was visiting and helping. He was good with his hands, he was good at creating things so he helped villages on his way to find one that would feel like home. In secret, he mated with the alpha he had fallen for, and soon after he became pregnant with his child. They told the chief but⦠things didnāt go as planned.
The chief punched Louis in the stomach and tried to kill him in a fit of rage, the rage he didnāt know where it had come from. His son succeeded in getting his father off of Louis, but the chief wasnāt done, however, and he tried to kill Louis once more only succeeding in stabbing his own son with the knife he had been branding. Louis screamed and held his dying mate in his arms, the chief was frozen in shock but upon seeing Louis again his mate just told him to go, to run, to save his precious life and that of their child, and to remember him. So, Louis did.
He found himself running away from a place he thought home for the third time in his life, still bleeding and weak from the fight and still not knowing of the loss he had truly suffered until he reached the next village and a healer saw him informing him of the loss of his child. He let out another scream and as soon as he was able he leave again he did to wander the world.
He arrived at Willowshire at last soon after the loss of his mate and his unborn child. He liked the place and decided to stay. He was a Ranch Hand there, which suited him well due to his previous work at his parent's farm. The job, however, often made him sad and nostalgic.
One day, however, he was stripped from his new home yet again and thrown into a new one full of lights and carriages that moved without horses. It was all new to him and confusing. Suddenly, a group of what he could only describe as people like him retrieved him and brought him somewhere safe where he could get a job he liked, have housing, and have a life. The man that found him is named Trenton and he seemed nice enough to him, he had been scared of this new place and he had explained what had happened with the help of others joining him. It seemed fantastical and like a lie but it just took a look around to know it was true.
With a heavy heart, he followed the group to his new home. He had grown fond of Willowshire but now he was in New Haven and he had a new home in the future. Maybe he could finally settle down and have a life without tragedy or pain.
