I normally stay out of the way of drama, but I noticed something that people were arguing that is entirely incorrect, and as someone who has read the source material of the sailor moon manga multiple times, it has really been bothering me.
Chibiusa does not stay physically eight - fourteen throughout the entirety of Sailor Moon.
I’m not even talking about the fact that Chibiusa is canonically 902 years old in age at the start of her manga appearance ( albeit, in the physical form of a five-eight year old ) and turns 904 years old by the end of the manga ( albeit, in the physical form of a fourteen year old ), but Chibiusa has literally been shown to be in an adult body in the way of magic in the manga twice, and we also are shown an image / are told of the post-canon and adult Chibiusa.
In Chapter 22-25, we get the Black Lady, which is a physically adult and evil form of Chibiusa that came into being after she was tricked by Wiseman.
Taken from Chapter 23:
She also gets turned into having the body of an adult when her and Usagi are bodily age swapped by magic. It starts in Chapter 39 and ends a chapter later in Chapter 40, and it is also caused by an enemy’s magic.
Taken from Chapter 39:
But if you say these two don’t count because they’re both magic and the former is also an evil version of Chibiusa? Fair enough. However, the manga also gives us Princess Lady Serenity.
Princess Lady Serenity is mentioned in the Dream arc, specifically in Chapter 40 and in Chapter 46, when Helios says that someone named Princess Serenity visited him in a dream and is the only one that is able to save him.
Taken from Chapter 40:
We are then led to believe that Helios is talking about Sailor Moon, who is also named Princess Serenity in the past, but Helios had messed up and mistaken Princess Lady Serenity ( future, post-canon, and adult Chibiusa ) for Princess Serenity because they have the same name.
Taken from Chapter 46:
However, we learn in Chapter 49 that Chibiusa is Princess Lady Serenity in the future.
Taken from Chapter 49:
This is the last time we see adult Chibiusa, but we do have confirmation in the manga that, in post-canon, Chibiusa does become an adult.
Thus, it is incorrect to say that Chibiusa has the body of a child throughout the entire series.
. ¸ . ✩ I can’t believe we have to do this again, but for those reblogging the callout involving astradream, maybe you should pay attention to the actual canon before you label some one. canonically Princess Lady Serenity does not have the body of a Child. we see her twice in the Manga via the dream arc and in both cases she is PHYSICALLY AN ADULT.
