Not hating on the 6th li because we all go through the phase of feeling a new li is weird or out of place and then eventually falling in love with him. And YES I’m fully aware this is a Chinese game mainly catered to a non-western audience but I feel like LADS would greatly benefit from having more diversity with their character design.

In my humblest of opinions Valko feels very cookie cutter in his design. And yeah all the LIs do to a degree but they had a chance at making something more unique to stand out from the other guys. They managed to get away with it with the first 5 guys since they all have different facial features but the new guy doesn’t really stand out that much. Like yall couldn’t even give him a slight tan? Not a single drop of melanin??

Like if I’m able to modify my own features to the extent LADS allows why can’t they do the same w the new guy

Overall I think he’s kinda funny and I am looking forward to seeing how Infold writes him into the story but I still feel that my point still stands when it comes to the design department.

Also if he’s a werewolf I was hoping he’d be a lil hairier

And if I said that I had a crack headcanon that Stein was actually Maka’s biological father resulting from her mom having a one-time-revenge-affair to get back at Spirit for all the times he’s cheated. Which would explain why Maka looks more like Stein than Spirit, her natural talent for reading souls, and lack of scythe transformation (I do not think about the anime canon).

I have had a LADS x Soul Eater AU drafted for a while since its lowkey a very easy crossover AU to make based on the universal ruleset of both worlds imo

But I was also thinking about a LADS and Dungeon Meshi AU and working out how that would play out.

There’s certain details about the character’s such as Sylus’s being a dragon and Raf being lumerian (merman) that would be tricky to implement into the Dungeon Meshi based on their monster identity in the series

Also figuring out if I should keep MC’s deity nature…

I still need to finish the Dungeon Meshi manga and Adventure’s Bible so I can both actually finish the story but also get a better understanding of the world and its function

Because I’m absolutely the type of crossover enjoyer who loves it when crossovers follow universal rules and seeing how people choose to develop it :3

Also I want Laios to make an appearance because i think it’d be funny to see him try and interact with Dragon! Sylus & Merman! Raf because he’d definitely irk them with all the questions related to their biology and determining how he’d probably eat them

But also I gotta figure out the race for all the other Lis I think Caleb would probably be Tallman… maybe Zayne too who knows. I don’t wanna make it too simple…

Also would Sylus be a considered a beast man??? Or something adjacent to what Falin ends up becoming

Ya know if we ever got a glimpse into the future of the soul eater cast (whether it be a 10 years later” side story or something) one thing I’d love to explore is Kilik potentially being the successor to Stein

Like yeah we see glimpses of Blackstar training with Stein in the manga (at least to my memory) and we get to see that he’ll likely surpass even him as being the most powerful meister from the DWMA. But I feel like Blackstar would kinda be in his own league. He’s surpassing the human limit and I think he’d hardly ever compare himself to someone human like Stein.

Kilik though? I could definitely see him taking the place of Stein within the academy SPECIFICALLY when it comes to him being able to easily resonate with any weapon given to him.

Seeing him being able to wield 4 weapons (2 dual weapons technically) at once makes me believe he could easily build up on that as a skill and get viewed similar to how Stein was in terms of his compatibility and possibly even take over his position when Stein retires to be a dad lol.

One of the worst parts ab Soul Eater Not is how much it doesn’t prepare you for the amount of information you receive if you don’t read the Soul Eater manga.

Luckily I did read the manga before I started SEN but like, to me it somehow manages to have the same issues that Soul Eater’s anime had when it came to adapting the source material… but worse

SEN didn’t adapt all of its manga’s chapters like Soul Eater (history book on the shelf is constantly repeating itself or whatever) and ON TOP OF THAT they take bits and pieces of the Soul Eater Manga’s lore… but not all of it??? It’s rly weird, they pick and choose what they wanna make canon idk.

I understand that the original Soul Eater anime adaptation had caught up to the manga and —rather than choosing to go on hiatus— chose to finish the story but idk if that’s the case for SEN since it was developed by a different studio

There’s a whole list of inconsistencies and changes to the anime that bug me knowing how if you aren’t familiar with the content of either manga and go in blind, you’d be hella confused and wonder if it’s even the same story. I’ve lowk wanted to talk ab this for a while because of the list of reasons I see people hating Soul Eater Not, I don’t see much discussion on this (maybe I’m not looking hard enough lmao)

In honor of pride month I want to share that I firmly believe that a Fem!Sylus would be a butch/masc woman.

She’d pretty much would look nearly identical to and wear the same outfits normal Sylus would wear (though I think she wouldn’t be against the idea of wearing dresses too! She’s a very versatile and high-class lady! She’ll do as she pleases)
