Que belleza. !Vamos Yaritza!

During a robbery, the bank robber shouted to everyone in the bank: “Don’t move. The money belongs to the State. Your life belongs to you.”
Everyone in the bank laid down quietly. This is called “Mind Changing Concept” Changing the conventional way of thinking.
When a lady lay on the table provocatively, the robber shouted at her: “Please be civilized! This is a robbery and not a rape!”
This is called “Being Professional” Focus only on what you are trained to do!
When the bank robbers returned home, the younger robber (MBA-trained) told the older robber (who has only completed Year 6 in primary school): “Big brother, let’s count how much we got.”
The older robber rebutted and said: “You are very stupid. There is so much money it will take us a long time to count. Tonight, the TV news will tell us how much we robbed from the bank!”
This is called “Experience.” Nowadays, experience is more important than paper qualifications!
After the robbers had left, the bank manager told the bank supervisor to call the police quickly. But the supervisor said to him: “Wait! Let us take out $10 million from the bank for ourselves and add it to the $70 million that we have previously embezzled from the bank”.
This is called “Swim with the tide.” Converting an unfavorable situation to your advantage!
The supervisor says: “It will be good if there is a robbery every month.”
This is called “Killing Boredom.” Personal Happiness is more important than your job.
The next day, the TV news reported that $100 million was taken from the bank. The robbers counted and counted and counted, but they could only count $20 million. The robbers were very angry and complained: “We risked our lives and only took $20 million. The bank manager took $80 million with a snap of his fingers. It looks like it is better to be educated than to be a thief!”
This is called “Knowledge is worth as much as gold!”
The bank manager was smiling and happy because his losses in the share market are now covered by this robbery.
This is called “Seizing the opportunity.” Daring to take risks!
So who are the real robbers here?
Wow… If you don’t read this, you’re wilding.
This is rather relevant to how I ended up in my job position…

Racism on the Island of Haiti
As we all know racism (white supremacy) is a worldwide phenomenon. There isn’t any corner of the world that this great evil has not reached. Wherever capitalism sinks its roots, there too you will find racist notions and actions.
The same is true on the island of Haiti. Many people call the island Hispaniola, where the Republic of Haiti…(read more)

Individuals who want to believe that there is no fulfillment in love, that true love does not exist, cling to these assumptions because this despair is actually easier to face than the reality that love is a real fact of life but is absent from their lives

Why Teachers of Color Quit
Low pay and high stress drive black and Latino teachers, including those in Teach for America, to leave the profession at higher rates than their white peers.
…many teachers of color struggle with knowing too much. Because our backgrounds often parallel those of our students, the issues in our classrooms hit us more personally.
This ultimately places an extreme amount of pressure on us to be good teachers immediately, since we know or have experienced ourselves the consequences of an insufficient education.
Also see:
Why Do Teachers Quit?
I Quit for Teach for America
I Almost Quit Teach for America
for those of you out there, especially of color, who wanna do Teach for America, or City Year even, beware. the systematic pressures and bureaucratic responsibilities sometimes outweighs the organic and real successes.
We must change education systematicallyfrom the root, and dismantle the capitalist system that uses education as a tool for oppression, miseducation, and schooling, rather than real education of our true history and culture, an education that teaches us how to overthrow our oppressor and demand that our human rights be protected.
If you expect honesty, be honest. If you expect forgiveness, forgive. If you expect a whole person, you have to be a whole person.

i have loved and will continue to love deeply, but never desperately. i am the center of my life. i will never forget that the sources of love are plentiful, that there is kinlove and womanlove and friendlove and sisterlove, that these loves are a source of sustenance. may we keep our centers to ourselves, hold our own hearts in our hands, cultivate and appreciate love in all of its glorious manifestations.
nomadmanifesto (via eyesofadiaspora)
“If you do your best in the search for personal freedom, in the search for self-love, you will discover that it’s just a matter of time before you find what you are looking for. It’s not about daydreaming or sitting for hours dreaming in meditation. You have to stand up and be a human. You have to honor the man or woman person that you are. Respect your body, enjoy your body, love your body, feed, clean, and heal your body. Exercise and do what makes your body feel good. This is a puja to your body, and that is a communion between you and God. You don’t need to worship idols of the Virgin Mary, the Christ, or the Buddha. You can if you want to; if it feels good, do it. Your own body is a manifestation of God, and if you honor your body everything will change for you. When you practice giving love to every part of your body, you plant seeds of love in your mind, and when they grow, you will love, honor, and respect your body immensely.”
