My jesslupe conspiracy is that Kelly and Roberta (probably Kelly 40-pages-of-character-research McCormack) played up a relationship as much as they could. Hear me out:

1. They seem like they’re flirting every scene they’re in together from the “so you a pitcher” to the “sinking ship” to the coke scene.

2. The locker scene. Be so real.

3. The kissing in the bar scene ???

4. In the very last scene, they mirror Greta and Carson’s conversation about going to New York. Greta’s like “come to New York with me”, it’s a big moment where they kind of finally acknowledge their relationship outside of the league and “make it real”. And then Jess and Lupe have the same one. Be so real.
