Together they’re the Sister Paintings!

I wanted to throw my hat in the ring for human/gijinka AU with the sister paintings! Designing them was super fun! I gotta redraw more of em!

My take for these three is that they’re all half-sisters born separately by distance and time, but reunited together despite all odds! They form the Sister Paintings group and often collaborate on works together. Unfortunately they realized that they’re each a bit different from one another and don’t mesh the best. Each with their own vision for the perfect creation.

Drawing Mom Adeline and Baby Kirby has been such a treat! Both belong to poxamarquinhos/mochi_moon. Their AU is just the cutest and it’s so fun to see different interpretations and ideas of how each character is transferred regarding a human AU!

Vivienne-Drea

Vivienne-Drea (Vividria) is the youngest of the three. A zealous and bubbly personality, but can be quite scatterbrained and impulsive. Regardless, she puts her heart into everything that she does. Currently a college art student who dabbles in a bit of everything from painting, to sculpting, and even textile work. Outside of classes, Vivienne-Drea can be found most likely working on her latest cosplay costume. She loves to dress up as a variety of different characters. Especially as a way to embrace her natural blonde hair. She performs and even sells some works at conventions. She admires her sisters despite their flaws, hoping to impress them.

I imagine she and Priya occasionally hosts an art group or event with the other art characters. As a way of connecting with their friends and community. And also as a way to get Daisha out to socialize, much to her dismay.

A lot of words but ough I just love these three so much! I enjoyed making gijinka/human designs. Especially conceptualizing and referencing to all different kinds of details. Such as deriving aspects of clothes from different cultures to referencing symbols, colors and patterns from the og designs! I wanna make much more in the future!

Priya

On the opposite side of the coin is a well beloved art teacher, named Priya (Paintra). She prides herself on being the upmost engaging and encouraging to her students. Often regarded as the most fun teacher and revered as a mentor. Always adding some pizzaz and flair to her lessons. Balancing between the fun of learning and creativity with the focus on honing each of the skills within the curriculum.

Both her and Daisha butt heads the most. Supportive of her sister’s ideas but is put off by her cruel criticism and eccentric behavior.

She tends to mentor Vivienne as well. Motivating her and assisting with assignments and projects.

When she’s not teaching, Priya performs as a magician. Specializing in tricks of illusion utilizing art and knowledge of physics. Between performance and teaching makes her quite the busybody. Some believe her to be an actual witch.

Daisha

Daisha (Drawcia) feels the strongest about her own artistic vision. An art curator who is quite peculiar in appearance and her work. She’s intimidating but exhibits a tranquil and calm demeanor. Almost as if there’s an explosive fury beneath the surface.

Stubborn, witty, and prioritizes brutal honesty. She’s well renowned for her work but could very well be an artist’s worst nightmare if their submissions do not meet up to her standards. What adds to her mystery is her art practice. It leans into the absurdism and the sublime. A lot of symbolism regarding the eye, due to her experience with her prosthetic eye.

She seems only tolerant of her sisters. Tending to be pretty blunt and hesitant about working together with them. Daisha is particularly annoyed by Priya’s overbearing nature and Vivienne’s overzealous attitude.

💚Here’s a few Kirb gals with some gifts just for you! I hope everyone’s had a safe holiday and keeping warm into the new year! 💚

❤️ Designing outfits for them is so cute and fun! I definitely may do a bunch more for other characters. I’d love to hear ideas!❤️

I also thought that Susie in a red dress would look stunning! Especially with the gold accents in the jewels and beads and shimmery glitter. She’d totally have a more formal and fitted dress meanwhile Vividria is all about bold colors that pop with fluffy skirts and dresses (and lots and lots of bows!) She loves to stand out!

It was so much fun rendering as well! I’ve been experimenting with how to go about it and details in my style. It’s so so fun! But I think I could push further regarding the design of simple backgrounds and perhaps lineart (if I ever get over the fear of lineart.)

New OC drop just in time! Miriam is based on Team Seafoam from last year's ArtFight! Miriam here is a sea slug/dog hybrid. She's very carefree, chill, and tends to go with the flow! You're most likely to find her going for a swim down at the beach and riding the waves!
