Sometimes you gotta make a Monster AU about your own OC's! Like this one where Maruo (Orochimaru's father) is a naga who was abducted at a young age and mistreated most of his life. Daija (Orochimaru's mother) has only just encountered him and is already prepared to get him the fuck out of there.

Coming in at an even 6ft tall is Jiraiya's mother, Jiyuu! Big height, big hair, and one big heart ❤️

And we also have a baby Jira for comparison! Just a squishy lil guy. Something so funny and cute to me about babies being drawn in a style that's very different from their parents 😊

Orochimaru's paternal grandparents did NOT like Daija at first. In their defense, most people would probably be hesitant if their (admittedly sheltered) son suddenly fell head over heels for a complete stranger who also happens to be incredibly strong and capable of great violence. They did gradually come around to her though; for one thing, her strength became a huge asset in protecting their clan, since they're much better at defense while Daija brought some much needed offense. And they eventually also saw that she was a good influence in bringing Maruo out of his shell, while he in turn helped to ground Daija.

And of course giving them the most adorable grandbaby in the world didn't hurt. Who could possibly be mad at that lil face??
