1979. Finally a graduate of Hogwarts and free from the squalor of Spinner’s End, Severus Snape is content with his life in London. He is a Death Eater in the Dark Lord’s inner circle, but when he discovers a series of prophecies that point to himself, he decides that there is only one way to survive - leaving behind the British wizarding world.

The one problem – his former best friend, Lily Evans, needs his help.

He soon discovers that he is not the only one keeping secrets from her. When she learns of his intent to forge a new identity, Lily commits a series of acts with dark consequences.
