Do you ever think about how absolutely wild Katara's behavior is in the crystal cavern scene?
Seriously, let's examine how batshit insane this scenario is.
Up to this point, Zuko has done pretty much nothing kind to Katara and a whole lot of shitty things to her.
And yet she's like "I will use this incredibly valuable, potentially life-saving spirit water on my enemy's non-life-threatening injury that's unlikely to be healed! Because he showed regret and emotional vulnerability in the last three minutes!"
Yes, Zuko is being very genuine, and yes, Katara's default state is high empathy, but even taking that into account what the fuck was she thinking????
This is arguably the most whackadoo decision anyone makes in the entirety of ATLA lmao
The only reasonable explanation I can come up with is that she offered to do something unwise and radically kind for a person she should hate because she felt such a profound connection with Zuko at that moment.
No wonder these two ended up married with three children. That's how I remember it anyway 💅
