Arya: would you rather have sex in the snow or in the sand?
Gendry: in the snow. As in, in the North. Where you're from. Even though I've never even seen snow before.
Arya: you trust me enough to leave me in your bed after one night? I could've robbed you
Arya: I mean shit, you ain't got much but
Gendry: I didn't think your legs would be working yet
Can the stans stop pretending Catelyn Stark was a super wonderful amazing mother? Cause she really wasnāt.
Iām not saying she was a bad mother. Iām just not saying she was a good mother either.
There are several issues I have with Catelynās parenting:
- She has blatant favourites. She outright states in one of her POV chapters that Bran is her favourite child and the way she thinks about Sansa vs the way she thinks about Arya is very telling. Her favouritism is, in my opinion, part of the reason why Arya has such bad self esteem- to the point of thinking that her family wonāt rescue her- and why her relationship with Sansa was so fraught. Kids are perceptive and they pick up on parental favouritism. If you can tell your mother prefers your sister to you, thatās going to damage your self esteem and make you resent your sister.
- I do not like the way she chose to handle the war. She captured Tyrion despite knowing her husband and daughters were surrounded by Lannister men- this leads to Ned being injured by Jaime, and itās this conflict, and the argument over Daenerys, that drives Robert into going hunting. And we all know what happens from there. Obviously there was a lot of other reasons for this, but Catelynās idiocy certainly didnāt help.
- The other aspect of Catelynās handling of the war I do not like is her decision to abandon her 8 year old and 3 year old sons. Bran is attempting to be the Lord in Winterfell, which he could really use Catelynās help and advice with, or even better, for her to be Lady instead. Rickon is 3 years old, a toddler still, and has no idea what is happening, he needs his mother. Robb, on the other hand, has a entire council of advisors who actually have experience fighting a war and therefore does not need Catelyn, especially considering her dumbass decision makes things much worse.
- Which handily leads me to Catelynās dumb decision to release Jaime. This screwed Robb over big time, went against his orders and cost him the Karstarks, leading to him losing the war. Now, again, obviously, there were a lot of other factors at play but it cannot be denied that Catelynās decision made things worse for Robb.
- My final point relates to Jon and Catelynās treatment of him. She stereotypes him based on her prejudices regarding bastards and treats him badly. Yes, treating an innocent child coldly because of something their father did and because of your own prejudices is, in fact, treating them badly. The way Catelyn treated Jon is not okay. Especially how she insisted he had to leave Winterfell when Ned left to go south. That is her kicking a 14 year old boy out of the only home he has ever known because of her own stupid prejudices which if she ever bothered to speak to him sheād know are not true. It is shitty behaviour.
I donāt think Catelyn is a bad person, or a bad mother. I just donāt think sheās the saintly amazing mother the fandom makes her out to be.
Catelynās letting Jamie go is perhaps the sign sheās a good parent. She was willing to risk the war for a 1% chance at saving her daughters when her own child who she probably expected better of. Abandoned them. Robb abandoned his sisters. Catelyn did the one thing she believed could possibly help. A loving parent would burn the world for a chance to save there child and thatās what she did. I hate how she treats Arya. It is a form of abuse. But! She was willing to lose a war for Arya. Ironically the only person who seems to be willing to go the same length for Arya (Sansa maybe not?) is Jon. Who she hates.
TLDR. Robb is a bad brother who doesnāt deserve respect or the love of his sisters. There must took a stupid chance for them when he wasnāt even trying.
ā¦Robb was literally at war to save his sisters. He very much did not abandon them. He went to war for three reasons: to save Ned, to save Sansa and to save Arya. Those were literally his objectives in the whole war.
Catelynās decision to release Jaime not only screwed over Robb (and ignored his direct orders) but also wouldnāt have gotten Sansa and Arya free. If the Lannisters have Jaime back, whatās going to make them hand over Sansa? They have no reason to do that and every reason to hold onto her.
He wasnāt even trying?! What do you think he went to war for???
Whatās Robb actual plan to save his sisters? Win war? Great plan.

Sansa is Squidward. That is all. This is greatly important to me that everyone understands. Arya is Spongebob..
jon: how could arya escape the boltons?? she was always quick and clever but in the end sheās just a little girlā¦.Ā
gendry: well first she dragged me outta bed buck ass naked-
Donāt get me wrong, I love the idea of giving Battinson a Robin in the sequel⦠but I have another idea.
Give Battinson a Batgirl. Because think of the options!
Cassandra Cain, literal feral child with a heart of gold, decides Battinson is friend-shaped and maybe even dad-shaped.
Barbara Gordon, preteen daughter of Batmanās designated police ally, decides sheās his apprentice now, overhauls his entire operation, and mocks him for not showering.
Stephanie Brown, hits him with a brick and gives him premature gray hair within days.
Would anyone be interested in an Arya Stan Discord Server
Thinking of making an Arya server to talk about fanfics, fan-art and stark stuff but mostly Arya. Would this be a thing anyone would want?
Gendry: Hey, do you want to take things up to the bedroom?
Arya: sure⦠whatās up there?
Gendry: By the way, do you have protection?
Arya: {Taking out Needle} Why, whatās up there!
Girls will go "comfort character <3" and its a girl covered in blood and a guy whos in love with her

Anyone else been noticing how absolutely unapologetically men have been supporting Andrew Tate?
Yesterday I was watching a video called "New Yorkers reacting to Andrew Tate" on Youtube and every single fucking top comment was like "ok but why are these girls calling Andrew bald? No wonder he hates women" or "I don't agree with Andrew Tate BUT these girls are so rude and they're making fun of Andrew Tate, I think I understand why he hates women" like WHAT THE FUCK YOU STUPID FUCKING MOIDS???
How is it that a dirty male can be like "yes women should be raped, subjugated, treated like property and be sex trafficked" but no woman can even call him a bald asshole?
They hate us so much that they expect us to be nice to them even when they call for brutal and inhumane violent treatment against us. Why are m*n so repulsive and pathetic holy fuck
the jonarya people who use the lyanna/arya parallel as fodder for their ship. um. i know heās gonna fuck his aunt but come on man are you really adding oedipus to the mix.
Incorrect.
Lyanna and Arya being parallels is not an indication of Jonrya. What Jon likes and prefers are women like Arya, George has said as much in his Balticon Report SSM. The point of Arya being similar to Lyanna is for us as readers to know what kind of character Lyanna was and the personality she had.
What I *do* use as evidence for Jonrya: him calling her his heart, that he was her personal home; the comparisons between Ygritte and Arya; āheāll have to call me something elseā/āI want my bride backā, among other things.
I actually go out of my way in fics to bring up how ridiculous the parallel is. Arya is her own person and I find bringing up Lyanna a cheap way to connect her to random characters
If Arya Stark is āunfeminineā because she carries a sword, doesnāt wear dresses, and believes in womenās rights then going by that ālogicā her sister Sansa is a masculine man wannabe because unlike Arya she is interested in watching the manly sport of knights and tourneys, doesnāt pick flowers, canāt cook or clean, has zero interest in other peopleās babies, is much bigger and taller than her more delicately-framed sister, and is ok with going along with Westerosā patriarchial values.
So let me get this straight
1. Elon Musk buys Twitter
2. Elon Musk unbans Andrew Tate
3. Andrew Tate picks a fight with Greta Thunberg
4. Greta Thunberg ratios the shit out him
5. He gets mad and posts a video response
6. There's a Romanian pizza box in the video which twigs Romanian police of his location
7. He is raided and arrested for human trafficking
That is some fabulous fuck-around-find-out shit and a great end to the year.
Gendry x Arya lunch break doodle.
