(Again, not actually the) D&D Amino Inktober Prompt! Day 8: Frail!

I did the official, general Inktober prompt today, again. I just needed something wholesome today, and the themes around "Dying' were kind of not doing that for me.

So, I am here to combat all the death and sorrow with a light of life and happiness!

I also realised I never drew Firbolgs before, so this was mostly just a fun exercise for me! I've never played Firbolgs either. Hmm. Maybe I should!

D&D Amino Inktober Prompt! Day 7: Alignment!

Was this an excuse to draw my favourite character in fancy Egyptian attire as one of the coolest gods in that pantheon? Maybe. Maybe it was.

As a drow, his skin should be dark, also. But my thickest pen started to run out, and I kind of need to get a bit of sleep soon enough or I'll pass out in college. Ahah. This might be another one to come back to after the month's over.

Anubis is a god of the dead, and the final judge. He takes the hearts (or souls) of the deceased, and weighs them against a magical feather of truth. If their life was sinful and filled with malice or excess, they are deemed guilty, and fed to Ammit, the crocodile of the Nile.

If I explained my thought process behind why exactly he fit for this role, I'd give away far too much about his backstory and personal life. But it seems his own heart weighs heavy, with him as the judge...

(Not quite the) D&D Amino Inktober Prompt! Day 6: Husky!

Okay, I admit. I did resort to the official prompt list for today... The Melee one was a tad too vexing for me. My best ideas were too challenging to execute on the time I had to draw today, so this isn't as impressive as I hoped my entry to be. I said what they were in my post there, but, in summary;

Two knights, face-to-face, locked into melee combat. Wishing they could be together, but noting bitterly that their closest moments are those that will bring their ruin.

And a druid, on the ground, out of wildshapes and spell slots, mocked by his foe. Only to rise, his usual weakness and cowardice set aside in a desperate lunge towards the enemy. His body growing claws and horns, like a feral beast forced to fight for its' life. (Alter Self at will is awesome, fight me.)

But I still tried with this lighter, softer theme! Perhaps I'll get to the rest another day.

Husky has two meanings... rather than choose one, why not both! So here's a necessary contribution to Orctober. Dogs are woman's best friend!

Definitely the quickest I've done these, but also probably the least creative. Still, it's important not to push yourselves too hard. Inktober is about having fun, don't forget it!

D&D Amino Inktober Prompt! Day 5: Roleplaying.

The roll is back! I am actually surprising myself with how much I've been enjoying drawing, now that I have a good reason to keep at it, persistently!

Anyway, here is a lovely lady who happens to be very good at pretending to be other people! She certainly has her fans...

I wonder who she really is, under all those layers.

D&D Amino Inktober Prompt! Day 4: Victory

Welp, this is the first one of these I'm relatively unhappy with. Mostly because of the clutter and my distaste for how thin all the lines are. I want more contrast. But a learning process requires some mistakes, too! So it's okay!

I kind of like how the smoke looks, but I need to work on it some more to be satisfied with how I use it.

I spent most of today wondering how to visualise winning in some way other than a character killing some kind of monster. By the end of the day, I decided to look on the flip side of this kind of victory.

The price of peace.

Victory comes in many different forms, but when lives are on the line, the success might come at a cost greater than the reward. Not every victory is as sweet as the next.

It's important to pay respects to those who lost, and honour their sacrifices, as in any battle, regardless of the purpose or outcome.

D&D Amino Inktober Prompt! Day 3: Persuasion. Smile for the camera~ Most tieflings are actually deceptively good-natured, and don’t mean any harm.It’s best to approach them with an open mind, when possible, as these poor souls often spend most of their lives tormented by the society they were raised in. Voland is an exception. For all his charisma and charm, this up-and-coming magician is nothing but trouble. While his wit is as sharp as his horns, this troublemaker will ruin your life in every way you can’t think of. (He’s creative like that~) It’s best to cut off most of his suggestions at their root, lest they drag you to a point of no return. But hey, at least it’ll be quite the show!

D&D Amino Inktober Prompt! Day 2: Higher Power.

D&D Amino Inktober Prompt! Day 1: Found Family. (Might post in bulk on certain days, college be like that.) A moon elf named Alfaequil, whom I play, spotted a goblin trying to steal from a merchant. The thief was caught, and currently being held and yelled at by the man, who had apparently been robbed like this before and demanded his losses compensated. Alfaequil hadn't met any goblins prior, and felt it was wrong for someone so massive to punish a poor little thing like that, regardless of race. So he stepped in, gave the money owed, and took the goblin with him. The burglar's name was Kipin, as he learned, and he was 8 years old.Now, a goblin is biologically an adult at that age, but being as clueless as he was about the race, and coupled with the fact that he was an elf; Alfaequil reasoned that Kipin was just a small child. Now determined to make a better future for this rogue in the making, he spent much time on his travels teaching Kipin all about magic. He figured it was better than him running around with a knife, after several instances of the "Let me see what you have" vine. Kipin went on to become an arcane trickster, and even though he didn't let go of his cold weapons, Alfaequil was still really proud of his adopted baby goblin. Whether he didn't notice the petty crimes Kipin sometimes committed, or he purposefully turned a blind eye - that much was never certain. Now the hard part would consist of explaining to his noble parents how their son came home with a goblin calling him father!

Wow, so apparently, I forgot to upload this rather nice pair when I was finished with them, several months back. Despite being really really happy with how they had turned out! (Of course I would) Especially the one on the right, whose hair took half the time of everything else to draw. (But it was still incredibly fun!) This was basically a whole sheet of experimentation, so parts look a bit off, but I really enjoyed myself drawing it! Fineliner pens are heavenly, truly~ So, who's the real kind soul?

This didn't start out as good as it ended, haha. (Ignore the hat.) But hey, it's my first time trying to draw even a portion of Ricken's clothes, so I'll take what I can get! He's a little grumpy, though? I wonder why! (If I always managed to draw characters this well, maybe I wouldn't be so afraid of actually starting an ask blog... *Sighs*)

This only took ten minutes, but they were ten minutes of PASSION.

I don't want any more for my birthday than the redemption and justice my favourite bird deserves. Please be to Grima. I am so invested in this it hurts-
