Hey guys! Some people have asked me if there was an info page for the game, and while I’m not sure if I’m doing it right, I thought I’d make an attempt here!

“What is WTLTS?”

When there’s light, there’s Shadow is an RPG Maker MV fangame about Shadow and Maria’s life on the ARK! It’s in very early development with no set release date or demo, as we’re a pretty small team and I’m pretty new to making games in general. But we’re trying our best!

“What does it feature?”

At the moment there’s several locations, a battle system, and a pretty simple plot line as the game is currently in draft format as I’d like to call it. But in the future there will be chapters, mini games, achievements, a fully original soundtrack, and secrets you’ll be able to unlock. Possibly even a friendship system and in-game voice acting. (We have two voice actors already! One for Maria and Shadow. 😄)

“What is the plot?”

It’s a bit hard to explain as I don’t want to spoil things and it’s still quite early, but the plot is planned to take place a year after Shadow’s creation. By this point he is familiar with the ARK and its inhabitants. He has a very close and supportive relationship with Maria, and a good relationship with Gerald. The story will be pretty lighthearted, but through the course of the game things will start to take a turn for the ARK Siblings, as we all know how this ends. 🥲

“Will the game be free?”

It will be 100% free, and will likely be released on Itch.io! This game is not being made for profit, it’s a passion project all the way! 😄

“How can I show support?”

Spreading the word about the game is the best way to do that! Whether it’s through sharing with friends, reblogging, or just talking about it on other sites!

“Is there any way to help out?”
