intro for her -Â
she lived most of her life in a lab, where she had very restricted communication with other living beings. in fact, she thought that she and her âmotherâ (the scientist who created her) were the only two sentient beings alive. she has photographic memory, due to the genes of the alien species sheâs a part of, Retenamus. theyâre beings that thrive on knowledge and learning, and they can also photosynthesize, so eden really likes plants. her âmotherâ had a lot of plants in the lab, and there was one window in the lab, very high up, where she could sometimes see the sky.
she doesnât really know proper etiquette for, well, anything, and she very easily picks up speech patterns from the people she talks with. when she goes in public (which is rarely), she wears clothes that cover as much of her body as possible, and she wears either goggles or a special kind of sclera contact lens that ryder buys for her, since heâs her âcaretaker,â so to speak. they met on accident, and he knew she was too naive and, literally, alien to live on her own.
the only names she ever knew were âexperiment tenâ or âe ten,â and ryder told her she had to have a ârealâ name, so she chose eden, which sounded closest to what sheâd always been called (e10). anyway yeah! whooo for messy alien doodles
