The Solar Wind Flame is the hottest four decans, when Astarlos, the sun at the center of the system, appears enormous and green. To cool off, cities hold grand water festivals. People douse each other with water scented with emerald algae and launch enormous water bombs from balloons. Some planets tolerate this period more easily due to their position, but even they try to escape during this time for short trips to the planets closest to the sun—Lunaris, Luminor, and Misty Grid. Meanwhile, Skala Braal takes control of an asteroid and tries to spend at least a decan near the star.
A little princess straight from Tenebris—a place where darkness is always present—wouldn't mind getting away with her family to places closer to the sun, where the sea envelops her feet, and a pleasant silver wind sometimes blows. And if her family is now a band of pirates, then so be it.
