How do I access my Square account from another device? If you have purchased a new device, simply download the Square app & sign in to your existing account with the associated email address and password. Fund's will continue to be transferred to the bank account linked to your Square account. Additionally, Square readers are universal & can be used with any supported device & Square account, therefor there’s no need to activate or register them.
If you have multiple location's, you can use Device Codes to link mobile devices to specific location's. Device codes allow you to log in without an email address & password.
The US state related to your taxpayer information will determine your eligibility for 1099-K.
Generally, account's meeting both of the following criteria qualify for a 1099-K & must be reported to the IRS:
More than $20,000 in gross sale's from goods or service's in the calendar year
AND more than 200 transaction's in the calendar year
But, if your tax reporting information is associated with Massachusetts or Vermont, we are required to problem a 1099-K and report to your state when you process $600 or more in credit card payments.
Bank accounts can be linked & edited from Account & Settings in your online Square Dashboard and from Settings > bank account in the Square app utilizing the total routing & account number. Verification for bank accounts can take up to 4 business day's, & the status of the account’s verification is available within the online Square Dashboard. Bank accounts being verified must have at least $1 available to finish the ACH transfer and debit.

Can I use Square abroad? Credit card processing with Square is available in the 50 united states, Canada, Japan, Australia, and therefore the united kingdom. Payment's can only be processed in the country in which you activate your account. for example, if you activate your account within the united states, you’re not able to process credit card payments in Canada, and vice versa.

Do I have a Merchant ID or Account Number? Square is a credit card processing company, however we don’t give our account holders individual merchant ID numbers. Although we don’t assign specific numbers, your business is still designated as a merchant with Square, & your Square merchant account is associated with your email address.
