So many people say and have said that I shouldn't ship McDanno, that they are just best friends. I will die on the hill that that show was some fucking queer baiting and then come to find out that both Alex (Steve) and Scott (Danny) were willing to have them be a couple. Unfortunately there was a toxic show runner that didn't get out until it was too late.

Like those two were the definition of married and we could have eventually had it if it wasn't for a toxic show runner? Excuse me while I go back on McDanno shit now. I know not my usual Rabbot or The Pitt post but McDanno was one of my first ships and still a love of mine.

I watched Iron Lung again tonight in the comfort of my home and my dog must've been watching with me cause as soon as bad things started happening to Simon she started crying. In the scene where he ultimately dies she could not stop crying at me. I am now watching him play the Henry Stickman collection so she can see that A.) He's not dead and B.) He's not in distress. Occasionally he'll whine or hum in discontent about something and my dog will look at me and whine to try and get me to fix whatever is distressing Markiplier.

The face journey Patrick Page did around the line, "Then doubt comes...Doubt comes in," was so exciting. I was buzzing in my seat.

The way he starts off the stanza just villain-plotting against Orpheus, and then he looks at Persephone and hears himself and realizes he's talking about his own shortcomings as much as Orpheus's, and he just kind of slackens in some combination of shame, resignation, understanding, and says, "Then doubt comes. Doubt comes in," with this clear subtext of, "Oh, I get it now." Perfectly setting up the "It's time for spring," moment.

my friend and i were talking yesterday about how funny it is that the Iron Lung/BloodyMary fandoms make Simon some kind of eldritch eel creature, like, i fear y'all lost the plot of the movie a little bit. don't get me wrong, Eel Simon looks badass or whatever, but Simon resisted becoming part of the Eel so wholly that he became a tree and everyone still said, "yeah but what if the eel became part of him anyway make him a scary feesh". y'all that man is a Plant. the Plant Simon Truthers corner of the fandom canNOT be so small as just my friend and i, where are all my homies who love Plant Simon and his green eye and his arm made of vines. all my homies love Plant Simon who lays in the sun and drinks plenty of water and grows little flowers in his hand.
