ooohhhhohohohohhh. ohh. okay so the whole applestrike and lightningheart falling out thing. applestrike starts trying to change their relationship and lightningheart is really freaked out by it because he JUST got her back and now shes pulling away?? she changed in windclan. but he doesnt want to upset her so he just overcorrects into appasing her in any way he can and when THAT isnt working either he well and truly loses all stability and shifts into. applestrike is mad at me. nothing im doing is making her less upset with my behavior. applestrike is mad at me and i cant fix myself in the right way for her. i have to let her be mad at me and take out her anger on me because then she'll stay close to me. applestrike you can hurt me if you want to i know youre mad at me. you know i can take it please just dont leave

this is an extremely short lived decision because as soon as he tries this approach applestrike is HORRIFIED and freaks the fuck out about it. it does get lightningheart a very in his face and straightforward "i love you so much and have never wanted to hurt you nor will i ever" but it really does just continue to highlight that they arent okay. maybe her reaction to this in particular helps lightningheart see a little of how she's feeling about their relationship
