And the spells... forgot those.
Witcher Class concept.
Alright, this is one that I was bored and came up with. You can suggest changes.
When creating a Witcher, you have one of three choices to make.
Bear School:
Health: 1d12 every Witcher level.
heavy melee weapons and heavy armor make up this school.
Skills: Survival, medicine, Athletics, Investigation, perception, Intimidation, insight, nature.
At level 7, you get a proficiency increase, an ability score improvement, and another use of Swallow and Thunderbolt.
Wolf School:
Health: 1d10 every Witcher level
medium melee weapons, and medium armor.
Skills: Survival, Acrobatics, Animal Handling, Athletics, Investigation, Perception, Intimidation, Insight, nature.
At Level 7, you get a pet wolf to fight with you.
Cat School:
Health: 1d8 every Witcher level
Light melee weapons, light armor
Skills: Acrobatics, Athletics, Investigation, Insight, Intimidation, Perception, Nature, stealth.
At Level 7, you gain proficiency with bows, crossbows, and 5 more speed.
Starting Gear:
Bear: Chain Mail, Silver Greatsword (Bonus 1d6 to monsters, but 1 and 2 are critical failures), Greatsword, light crossbow(50 bolts), Bear Medallion(senses nearby magic, 50ft.), 20g 10s.
Wolf: Chain Shirt, Silver longsword (Bonus 1d6 to monsters but 1 and 2 are critical failures), Longsword, light crossbow(50 bolts), Wolf Medallion(senses nearby magic, 50ft), 20g 10s.
Cat: Leather armor, Silver shortsword (Bonus 1d6 to monsters but 1 and 2 are critical failures), Daggers(2), Light crossbow (50 bolts), Cat Medallion(senses nearby magic, 50ft.), 20g 10s.
All schools start with 6 cantrips, but do not learn any new spells afterwards.
Aard
Axii
Igni
Quen
Witcher Senses
Yrden.
All schools also have Adrenaline points, every turn in combat, you gain one, at 10 you can have a bonus action, using your Adrenaline.
As well, they all start with the swallow potion, that heals 1d10 health. Replenishes every short rest.
Leveling bonuses
1. Basic cantrips, Swallow potion(heals 1d10).
2. Action Surge
3. Special beastial enemy (animals)
4. ability score improvement
5. Extra attack, special terrain, Thunderbolt potion(adds 1d6 damage to attacks).
6. Ability score improvement, Spell level up (choose 1).
7. School ability
8. ability score improvement.
11. Extra attack, special monster enemy.
12. Ability score improvement
14. Ability score improvement
16. Ability score improvement
17. Action Surge (2 uses)
19. Ability score improvement.
20. Extra attack.
Thunderbolt and Swallow potions have one use per short rest(besides level 7 bear school). Once used, you must take a short or long rest to recover the potions. Effects of Thunderbolt potion wears off after combat.
Aard, Axii, Igni, Quen, and Yrden can be leveled up. Witcher Senses cannot.
Try it out or suggest some changes you want to add!
Would you put it on your pokemon team?
the only way to play Dragonborn
DM: There are three giant lizards
Me: Yeoin (Dragonborn Paladin)grabs one by its tail and swings it around throwing it at another one
DM: strength check *sighs*
Me: *Passes flawlessly* HAHA!
DM(to other player): how much damage should that do?
Other Player: Idk, a d6 or two?
DM: uh roll a d6
Me: (rolls) wait a minute. Didn't I pass flawlessly?
DM: true
@kennersthebum
Cats are wierd
As A Profesional Warlock, I can indeed agree, Nova Bombs are very, very, VEEEEERY... Safe, I mean, you could put them in your mouth and be just fine.
