Why are the races written like absolutely nothing else that exists in 5e? Nothing is phrased normally. NOTHING is phrased normally! I just got through the races, there's good stuff here, but hoh the number of times I had to go back just to check what actual, mechanical size some of these guys are- and also some if them don't actually say at all, which is an issue no matter how obvious it's supposed to be.
Just- fuck. I LIKE the stuff here, so far, I do, but I haaaate the way that things are written, and I'm throwing chairs about it.
Also you can't "Product Identity" game mechanics for the same reason WotC can't, and trying to do so means nothing, I'm stripping your homebrew for parts and rearranging the mechanical furniture for my own purposes. Be pissed or don't, it literally doesn't matter.
hey man, you seem really angry. Have fun playing with the Legos of game design! We did! Sorry it's not working the way you want.
While product identity doesn't apply to mechanics, it does apply to flavor - so just don't use the species names and flavor text verbatim and you're good to go.
