so the fic idea is like judri abo au but like Jude is still a football player but Pedri is just student or smth so like Jude has like a younger sibling that has to be babysitted while his parents are out of the country so he hires pedri as the nanny and yk they fall in love and stuff

The crazy part is i literally have a very similar idea drafted with a few tweaks (+without the abo setting)

i actually made jobe way younger in it so it fits the whole babysitter plot perfectly, and i already wrote the first chapter as a rough draft with zero editing done to it yet.

but since we’re talking about rpf, i’m still lowkey hesitant and nervous about actually posting it in the future... so we’ll just see what happens later on!

Your mom is such a queen for doing that because most full Arab kids when they go to the US or UK don’t learn Arabic at all.

Writing fics in Arabic is brave, you know I’ve been consuming fics probably since I was 12 years old and for very niche anime fandoms, not once in my life thought about reading fics in Arabic because this gives me the ick for some reason, I’m a reader and I read normal Arab books but fanfiction is sth else for me😂

I also used to write not necessarily fanfics in Arabic and I remember I tried to write fics in English but it’s difficult when you don’t grow up with English as a first language.

Anyways, Pedri is definitely levant looking, Jude could honestly be a mix, I feel look wise maybe khalejee but personality maybe Lebanese? He honestly could be half Lebanese because so many people from Lebanon migrated to Africa and Brazil, I could see him as half Brazilian half Lebanese 😅

and omg the "ick" from reading fics in arabic is SO REAL 😭 inside joke or not, some words just sound way too intense or funny in arabic compared to english, i totally get why it feels weird lmao.

omg i love this question, so basically jude is a mix of two different vibes for me

personality-wise, he definitely gives off pure emirati vibes. like just the way he carries himself, the high confidence, and how proper and polite he is in interviews, it’s so classy lmao.

But look-wise he is 100% iraqi looking to me the facial features, the beard, the hair… he literally looks like an iraqi guy u’d see at an arab wedding, u cannot convince me otherwise

so yeah he’s a bit of both and it just makes total sense in my head

my mom literally had a strict rule that we could only speak arabic at home so i actually learned it before english, and the arab lore runs even deeper bc i literally started writing fics back on wattpad in arabic before i switched to english on ao3 lmao

omg u actually caught me so off guard with this bc i’ve been thinking about it for literal months but thought i was the only one 😭 u are absolutely not tweaking.

like honestly if u look at him without knowing he's spanish, he just looks so middle eastern. it’s the eyes and the thick eyebrows and just his whole facial features? he literally has that exact local arab boy look.

if i had to pick a country, he definitely gives off levantine vibes, like syrian or lebanese for sure, but sometimes i look at him and i’m like… yeah he could easily pass as jordanian too. he just has that specific familiar face that makes u feel like u've definitely seen him around (which i did, a lot) or he's someone's cousin lmao.
