Drive Knight has calculated every possible outcome.
Except this one.
Genos gets badly injured during a mission, and suddenly Drive Knight is dealing with a problem that can't be solved with calculations, combat data, or strategic analysis.
And yes... I'll be sharing a little snippet from the fic. 👀💜💛 :
"Genos, evasive action!" Drive Knight's voice was sharp, a rare edge of urgency in it.
But it was too late.
The beam struck Genos directly in the side.
His golden optical sensors flickered violently before going dark.
For a fraction of a second, Drive Knight froze.
His logical processors screamed at him, running threat assessments, calculating survival probabilities, analyzing the monster's next move.
But another process overwhelmed everything else.
He looked at Genos's still form.
And for the first time, Drive Knight experienced something his calculations could not explain.
