Winnebago Sponsored Project - 1977
Winnebago Industries, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of recreational vehicles, headquartered in Forest City, Iowa, participated in its first educational project for upper division Industrial Design students at ArtCenter. Thirteen Transportation and eight Environmental Design students collaborated on the assignment. A group of advisors from Winnebago, headed by Product Planning Manager Doug Scroggs, provided students with valuable technical insight into the special problems which must be solved when designing multi-purpose recreational vehicles with an eye towards the future of 1980’s America.
Instructors included Industrial Design department Chairman Keith Teter and Hugh Jorgenson for the Transportation Design classes, and Al Fiore for the environmental design group. Winnebago Industries made a $10,000 donation to ArtCenter which were a valuable addition to the completion funds for the auditorium.
Releasing this limited edition screen print titled “The dream loop” in collaboration with Static Medium during MondoCon in Austin this weekend. It will be available from Static Mediums booth now on Saturday between 12 and 4pm.
