I've saved a lot of art over the years to my personal art inspiration folder. sometimes I track down the posts these images are from, or they cross my feed in the wild, and I'm often surprised by how little notes or engagement they have - or at least the numbers feel wildly disproportionate to the amount of room these pictures took up in my head. and it's especially true of original content, or stuff from small and niche fandoms. entire months of my life I've thought about and studied the way that something someone else drew with less than 100 notes made me feel.

so what I'm saying is, if there's something you made that you feel really proud of, but didn't get as much attention as you would've liked? don't worry. at least one gay artist somewhere probably downloaded it and has been rotating it over and over in their head

I’m trying to be so normal about them but I think it’s actually impossible. The Eddie x Katie brainrot is REAL and I desperately need more of everything from them. Everything about these two is amazing, the tension and the flirting drives me insane. The last scene in episode 8 got me goooooood.

People who "only" comment are so so important. I recognise the usernames of people who regularly comment on my fics and I love them all. In fact I love anyone who leaves an uplifting comment on my work, whether it's once or repeatedly. Interaction is so important, it's really nice to feel like you're connecting with people via what you create, even if just for a brief moment.
