“Hey, hey!” The Idelvan general gives a cheery wave, his free arm carrying ten or so coffee cups precariously balanced. Had he been hoarding these? Absolutely! Cain had been taste-testing random mixtures and blends, and he had started growing fond of caffeinated beverages. Though Leona would scold him for his newfound passion.
“I was coming to return these. Sorry, sorry… I know I should only keep one cup at a time but… I’ve been in my room a lot lately. Ehehe. I don’t suppose you have anything sweeter in taste, do you?” His sweet tooth always got the better of him!
“I was looking for these.” he had slowly started to suspect that they had a cup thief on board. or that some strange creature was actually eating them. who knows what kind of fellow captain did drag onto the ship again... but it seemed the answer had simply been that some of the people horded all the mugs and cups they owned. for a moment he contemplates asking shiva for help cleaning all of these ( surely that guy worked faster ).
“I do. I am experimenting with some sweeter flavors.” mostly for lyria’s sake. “If you test some of these for me I’ll overlook... this.” sandalphon gently motions towards the cup. “but you’ll have to be brutally honest.”

Having come back to fetch supplies for the party, Ritsuka perks up as she hears singing that seems to belong to…Sanalphon? Footsteps lightening to avoid startling him, her head peeks into the room, smiling in delight as she sees it is indeed him. She nods along to the song, clapping when he finishes. “I didn’t know you could sing; you have such a good singing voice! What were you singing?”
“ritsuka?!” since when had she been standing there and listen to him? ... ah. probably for a while if she did not only clap but compliment his singing. for a moment he wonders if some empty threat would stop her from telling anyone about this embarrassing situation. but ritsuka had a similar personality to the captain : reckless fool.
...besides he doesn’t use death threats anymore. “can I buy your silence with hot chocolate?”

except there is someone who can overhear as he stumbles upon this rare scene. it is because of that rarity that lucifer enjoys discovering moments like these. it’s a blessing to continue discovering little things about the other; but it is the same rarity that stops lucifer from making his presence known. he does not have the heart to interrupt sandalphon especially when he appears to be enjoying himself so.
he does not notice the other - not for now at least. red eyes focus on the work at hand. sweetening the coffee for lyria, adding some silly swirl to the captain’s... all those little things that had become a routine to him. he continues his singing until he turns around, seeing a certain white haired head in the corner.
“... how long have you been standing there?” or rather, how much did he heard? he can only hope to everything and everyone with higher powers that lucifer had not heard him sing that song.
from what he can tell, the entire crew has left the ship for some sort of celebration. to have a few moments to just himself in silence, he cannot help but have a somewhat rare and softer expression on his face... and as he starts making coffee, he finds himself singing. it’s not like anyone would hear him, right?

Those cold eyes of his never once flinch nor blink , pupils waver into a slit ‘pon observing the male before him . So this is what Lucifer created in his spare time , how ironic — a SPARE for a SPARE. Long , flowing astral robes glide with every high-heeled step the ivory haired male took - eventually becoming several feet away . Fingers cling to the large staff he carried & simply decided to observe the creation … . for now .
“ Is that so . “ comes to voice , amusement rolling off his tongue as the inventor couldn’t help but attempt to MUFFLE said amusement in the first place. “ You’re quite different than the other faux creations . “ Now why did he say faux ? Due to the ivory-haired male truly not believe they were TRUE or GENUINE , that they’re nothing more than spare parts intertwined in this grand scheme of his .
he feels uncomfortable underneath the other’s relentless stare. an uneasiness as if he is judged to his very core. he wonders if he could escape to somewhere else. just away from these cold eyes. that is, until lucilius speaks up again.

“in what way?” he is aware that he had been created and that other beings did not create but reproduce but the way the other called him a ‘faux’ felt more like an insult than a simple observation. “I haven’t met a lot of others... how am I different?”

he is somewhat used to people staring. after all he is a new creation - and even more so, he was created by the supreme primach. but to have someone look at him with such coldness... it is even more unsettling that the person is sharing a face with lucifer.
“you must be lucilius.” should he bow? kneel? he isn’t entirely sure what is expected of him. “lucifer talks very highly of you...”
200 rolls + frenzy ... i got a second bahamut, second hades, 4th europa... at this point i am convinced lucifer just avoids my poor account... mb bcs i got belial recently.

happy. now that is a word he hasn’t used often. ‘ it’s different from what i am used to, ’ once he was an observer now he finds himself being a participant. ‘ this life has not given me much to complain about. ’ is he happy? as long as he is with sandalphon he would say so.
“that sounds more like contentment over happiness...” what he wanted the other to be was to be truly happy. perhaps a selfish wish - no it definitely was selfish of him. he sighs and turns around his head a little to smile at the other. “how about I’ll make you breakfast?”

with a slight tilt of his head his lips part, ‘ of course. ’ from this angle he cannot see sandalphon’s face, let alone read his expression. ‘ what’s on your mind ? ’
“are you happy?” there is a certain temptation in adding ‘here with me’ but in the end he cannot find it in himself to mumble those words. “are you happy here on the grancypher.”

allowing a soft hum to pass his lips, completely oblivious to the deep blush painting sandalphon’s face, ‘ it is. ’ he responds. right now he might even argue that it is the most comfortable spot.
...that probably means he won’t move for a while now. not that it exactly bothers him ( turning around though to hug lucifer would be somewhat nicer ). “...can I ask you something?”

‘ then if you don’t mind i will call you sandy, ’ perhaps it is a bit too much to call a stranger by such nickname but he likes how personal it sounds. as if they’ve known each other longer than just today. ‘ i’m certain we will, ’ a pause, ‘ i am in no rush to find a name though admittingly at times i grow tired of the people here calling me ‘ boss ’ or ‘ leader ‘ ’ his expression falters for a brief moment. he doesn’t blame them from doing so, it was a good alternative, but perhaps it was what the title implied.
but his expression is quick to return to normal again, ‘ sorry — i did not mean to burden you with my troubles, ’ what is he doing spilling his thoughts to a stranger like that? ‘ here you go, ’ he says as he offers a cup of coffee before taking a seat himself. ‘ it’s not as finished as i would like it to be, but perhaps in time it can be a proper home ’
it’s less embarrassing to hear it from him. he’s grown somewhat used to the many nicknames he has, even those that poked fun at his usually grumpy attitude. but used or not he always seem to react either flustered or with annoyance, with lucifer however, it simply feels natural. ( no, no he cannot allow himself to call the other one like that, not even in his head )
“leader or boss are names that come with great expectations. I know a thing or two about those burdens, so do not worry about speaking your mind, I’ll gladly listen.” because he had been terrible at doing so in the past, always caught in his own pain and unable to see the pain of the one person he wished to see smile. taking the cup, he expects the coffee to be mixed with sugar and milk, considering not many people drink it as he does but... no. it’s exactly as he remembers it. placing the cup back down to hide his shaking fingers, he gives the other a shy smile. “it’s perfect, thank you... and with how determined you seem, I am sure this will be a proper home.”

don’t mind him he’s just smiling to himself as he wraps his arms around the other, resting his chin on top of his head.
he nearly spills the content of his carafe, but luckily he seems to somewhat get a hold of himself ( though he is fairly sure his cheeks turn a deeper shade of red than his eyes once he realizes who is hugging him ).
“... is it comfortable?”

if only he could believe those words. though he has not given up, it is at times a nuisance not being able to remember who you are and where you are from. however he would not let those thoughts get to him, his optimism would not falter so instead he gives a simple nod in agreement. ‘’ sandalphon, ‘’ he repeats though it no longer had that ring of familiarity for he no longer remembers who that is. ( ‘ what an unusual name ‘ ) but regardless of that thought, he offers a smile. ‘’ it is nice to meet you. ‘’ he does not know of the events linked to that name and thus he means it when he says it.
however, the next comment comes a bit to a surprise? naming him? if only it could be that easy but may it be out of amusement or curiosity sake he agrees to it. ‘’ i would like that, ‘’ he says as he makes a turn to return to his temporal abode, gesturing the other to follow him. ‘’ it is not much but make yourself at home. ‘’
to hear his name be spoken by that voice again - even if the usual softness could not be found in it, he could feel his heart react with such pained joy ( how could happiness hurt so much? ). “if... it’s too long you can call me ‘sandy’” ah. no. he had not meant to say that, right away his cheeks darken, flustered that he would even utter that nickname of his. if anyone in the crew would hear him say it so freely... he’d never be allowed to forget it.
“I’m sure we will find a suitable name...” he knows which one he has in mind but he understands that he cannot force it onto the other. there is still a chance that the other one just looks similar to lucifer. “it’s beautiful, I think.”
