Happy to be here. Really, it was only a matter of time before I attempted social media.

I’m hoping to make friends. I’ve always wanted “mutuals” and I’m planning to be a pretty active user on this platform :P

I’m pretty source attached in every aspect except the politics. I’m not a Nazi. I also, obviously, don’t condone the actions of Stormfront, the comically evil fictional character. If I did, I wouldn’t be on Tumblr of all places. I can’t believe I need to say that, lmfao??

We’re bodily a POC and a history major. Also, we have a very boring office job.

Anyway, source-mates are welcome to interact. I don’t bite. I don’t have a DNI because I think they’re pointless.

I don’t have a stance on syscourse. I’m not here to debate people while I’m getting my bearings. I’ll interact with people and posts on both sides. This is a social platform, I’m going to be social with people regardless of what they think about ongoing niche psychology debates.

As with any discourse, I’ll interact with anyone regardless of their beliefs, and I’ll very, very rarely block people I find super annoying. Yay!

I’m not sure what I’m doing on here honestly, but I’ll work it out as I go. I’ll post about whatever floats my boat.

So, I’m still not a discourse blog, but, y’know. Someone has to say it!

I’ve noticed systems showing up in toxic Reddit cesspools (like r/systemscringe), either stalking it on alt accounts or outright interacting with that community to try and convince themselves they’re one of the good ones. Not fake, not cringe, not whatever.

And I get the impulse, I really do. But the second you’re handing your own, highly personal experiences over to a vicious group of non-professional singlets to grade, you’ve literally lost it.

You’re willingly entering a validation-olympics where the prize is an ounce of strained approval at the cost of throwing every other system going through almost the exact same thing as you, under the bus.

The moment your system stops being palatable to them, it’s you being posted to that subreddit.

You can only lick the boot for so long before it ends up on your head.

Being an overt system means that inevitably, people are going to notice you’re “off.” I fear I’ve taken this to the next level.

Today I learned that I’ve now literally gained the nickname “Tracy” whenever I front, from a person who knows basically nothing about our system, due to how differently I act in comparison to the host.

I get marked as “Tracy” consistently, despite not telling this person I was fronting, of course. What???

I have not once introduced myself as, well, myself, to this person. So, I guess I’m “Tracy” now!

To be honest, the vast majority of my source memories aren’t pleasant at all in hindsight.

I’m not going to lie and say I don’t have those memories from my source, I’m sure anyone familiar with it knows what I mean. Not a great feeling!

That said, I have a couple memories of Chloe, my daughter. It’s weird to be nostalgic for a time that never really existed. Being a fictive is such a mind-ffuuuckkkk.
