HI YES I FINALLY GOT AROUND TO IT !!! I don't think about them a lot but I tried my best !!!

CayRid Headcanons (I LOVE THEM) 

Cater was Riddle’s gay awakening, yes yes, nod nod you will agree with me on this one

It’s also why he says he was so sure he could’ve made it to graduation without getting collared, he knew, Trey knew, I think even Idia from the depths of his room knew. 

Riddle always plays croquet with Cater (and only Cater) because of rule 703 which states that “Anyone who comes in second in a croquet tournament must serve the queen tea the next day” and, obviously, Riddle always wins so Cater is always in 2nd place. (yes the rule is canon it’s in the wiki !)

These tea sessions are lowkey dates, once Ace accidentally interrupted and got double death glared (he didn’t even know Cater had that expression available ?)

Cater loves taking Riddle out to those aesthetic cafes that serve super cute cakes and sweets because he gets a photo op, Riddle gets the sweets and they both get to hang out. 

Sometimes when he’s writing songs for the Pop Music Club and gets stuck somewhere, Cater finds Riddle and uses him as inspiration. 

On that note, Kalim and Lilia notices that the songs they’ve been getting are a lot more pop punk/rock sounding (Cater is not slick especially when he writes about a queen with red hair) 

Riddle and Cater are non PDA kings actually, Riddle finds it embarrassing and highly improper and Cater is not that emotionally open for PDA so they mostly hug or cuddle in their respective rooms since they both don’t have roommates, Riddle’s room is their go to though since it’s huge. 

Riddle is slightly (very) touch starved so he's always touching Cater in some way if they're together, holding his hand, fidgetting with Cater's sleeve, leaning against him

Cater worries that if he fucks up one day he won't be able to stop himself from running away, one night he tells Riddle this and Riddle holds his face and says in the most loving tone ever "If you try and run, I will send every card soldier in Heartslabyul after you until I have you back with me." and Cater has not. Quite recovered from that.

Riddle is surprisingly good at catching Cater off guard, he’s not exactly flirting but he also ain’t not flirting if you feel me ? 

He’ll grab onto the back of Cater’s shirt and tell him softly to meet him for dinner that night and then just leaves, Cater’s so red that Deuce jokes that Riddle’s rubbing off on him a bit too much

They don’t fight much, but when they do, you bet that Trey is their lil messenger boy for when they gotta talk but they don’t wanna see each others faces

If Trey isn’t available (aka when Trey can’t deal with them anymore and threatens to stop cooking if they keep using him as a messenger) then Riddle takes Deuce n Cater takes Ace and then their both the messenger boys. 

Deuce feels like his parents are fighting, Ace feels like his older brother is fighting with his bf who also happens to be his senior, they are not the same.

Just a cute friends to lovers situation

They’re the most annoying couple to be around, because Cater can not let go of Riddle’s hand. They sit next to each other, whisper, flirt, all of it. They’re the worst.

(It’s mainly Cater’s fault.)

They have little sessions sharing their favorite things they’ve read recently. Riddle is talking about a book, Cater is talking about AO3

Riddle will point things out like “Oh Cater would love that”, even when with friends. He’s very annoying

Cater doesn’t get collared because Riddle makes excuses for him. Not that Cater really does anything to be collared anyway.

Cater is Riddle’s eyes and ears when hes not around. You can NOT trust him lowk. If you mess something up and Cater see, Riddle will be messaged immediately.

Say something rude about Riddle? Cater is glaring at you, and texting Riddle.

Cater takes Riddle to aesthetic restaurants often. Its a win win, Cater gets cute photos and Riddle gets tea and food.

Cater thinks Riddle eating is the cutest thing ever, has like a million photos of him eating.

Riddle likes to untie Cater’s hair, just to try and braid it.

Riddle started liking Cater when he noticed how much Cater seems to defend him, and or protect him. Cater scolding students for him, telling him something that happened while he wants around.. His trust and heart bursted.

Cater started liking Riddle when Riddle would check up on him. Near the start of their friendship, Cater noticed that Riddle would always check on him, ask how he was doing, ask about his classes, ask about something he told him weeks ago, try and change small things to his preference. He just couldn't resist.

Cater loves doing Riddle’s makeup. He loves when Riddle does his own, of course, but he likes to try different styles on him. He tried to convince Riddle to draw some kind of suit card on his cheek, but Riddle claimed it was too much.

Their meals always look wildly different. A bright red meal next to a cream colored one. A brown colored meal right next to a pink one.

Cater knows Riddle’s food orders by heart.

Riddle has issues when he sleeps and struggles to sometimes, and when he does he always texts Cater.

Cater has his notifications off, just not on Riddle’s texts. He made sure the sound was a cute song too.

Riddle often wears Cater’s hoodies. They aren’t his color, sure, but they’re comfy. Cater has a few secret photos of Riddle wearing his stuff.

For Cater’s birthday, Riddle got him a matching crown so they could be the queen and king together.

Cater gets Riddle those aesthetic rose bouquets, usually the ones with a stuffed animal.

The confession was really weird ngl. Cater had started sending things to Riddle’s dorm anonymously. He sent strawberries, flowers, gifts, his cravings, etc. Riddle thought he had a stalker at first. Soon, he sent a letter asking to meet somewhere to talk. Riddle 100% thought he was about to be murdered and had asked Cater and Trey if they could come with. Trey agreed, but Cater stumbled. Trey knew Cater was the one sending things, but he didn’t want to say that just yet.

Cater lied, claiming he had a club meeting to do.

On the day, Riddle made sure Trey stayed by his side. But when he saw Cater standing at the rose garden, he was confused.

There, Cater nervously confessed, explaining that he had been the one sending things and that he had liked Riddle for a long while now. Riddle was shocked, of course. Trey had to cover his mouth to stop his laughing.

Riddle didn’t say a word and just leaped at Cater, hugging him. Cater was taken aback as Riddle scolded him before going quiet. Then, he quietly admitted he was also crushing on Cater.

Very cute, very wholesome.

Cater introduced Riddle to AO3. Riddle says how unprofessional and terrible it is for reading, but he uses it late at night when hes alone.

Cater raved over Riddles long hair in the Rapunzel event. He was absolutely suffering when Riddle got rid of it.

He has a million photos of it.

Riddle, though he can't always, reads Cater as well as he can.

He makes an effort to remind Cater that he is open to tell when something is upsetting him, and over time he learned to find out what upsets Cater.

Their first kiss was sweet. They had gone out to a cafe and ordered their food. It was a cute place, so obv Cater was taking photos. He insisted on making Riddle pose for some.

Once done, they had gotten dessert and walked down a park. They had a simple talk as they walked.

Riddle’s heel got caught in the grass and he nearly tripped, but Cater caught him. Sadly, Riddles dessert, most likely some kind of strawberry cake or smth, fell out of his hand. He was very upset, and Cater pecked his cheek to cheer him up. He turned bright red and scolded Cater for acting so impulsively. He did infact kiss his cheek back later, AFTER getting another cake.

Once, Cater brought home a group of bunnies he found. Riddle scolded him, yet could not bring himself to get rid of them.

They kept them for a month before Trey found out and forced them to get rid of the bunnies.

Before they started dating, Caters name in Riddles phone was “Cater.”. After they started dating, it changed to “My Cay-Cay.💋”

Before they started dating, Riddles name in Caters phone was “Ridds!!🫶🏻”. After they started dating, it changed to “My Rid-Rid!!!!💗”

Caters sister adore Riddle! They love dressing him up.

They both have Riddles number, send him random things they think would be cute on him.

Cater and Riddle will show up to dates, both with a bouquet for the other.

It's really cute and they laugh about it.

Riddle tried to make Cater savory versions of his favorite pastries because, even if they have different pallets, he wants to share his love for baked things with Cater.

One thing they can both agree on? Pickles. They love pickles.

Random times, they will just be standing in the kitchen having a conversation while eating pickles straight from the jar.

Trey was NOT surprised when Cater and Riddle started dating. He was both of their outlets for their crush.

Deuce and Ace were a bit more surprised. They figured Housewarden would want someone more on his level in terms of energy. They're very supportive, nonetheless!

A lot of Riddles favorite songs were shown to him by Cater!

Cater does NOT like Riddles mom, in the slightest. Makes vague shade posts about her.

He does speak with her, but he just can't stand her for more than a few minutes. He doesn't come over there, unless it's to snatch Riddle and leave.

Claw machines are one of their favorite things together. It's fun, cute, and you get a little thing usually.
