just want to let the world know how incredibly proud i am of my little bro. twelve years ago, this kid literally died for 55 minutes after drowning in lake huron. he was revived and spent the entire summer of 2007 being rehabilitated at c.s. mott children’s hospital. he suffered a tbi and had to teach himself how to speak and write again. due to frontal lobe damage impairing his right arm, he had to teach himself to become left-handed. through all this adversity, he never gave up on his dream of being an artist. during his senior year of high school, he was accepted into every art school he applied to across the country. he ultimately chose to attend mcad in minnesota and now has his bachelor’s of fine arts in comic art. 🙌🙌🙌 the amount of perseverance this kid has is absolutely astounding, and words cannot express how proud of him i am for everything he has accomplished. he even co-wrote a book with my grandmother about his experience with god and the afterlife. all three lafferty kids have college degrees now. 🎓🎓🎓congratulations, corey! i know @tommywiseau would be proud of you too! #youonlylivetwice #yolt #partna #buttbear #🍑🐻 #spaghet #mcad #comicart #bfa #johnnysdisciple #grizzandicebear #smashthatlikebutton (at Minneapolis College of Art and Design) https://www.instagram.com/p/BxqvRbRFkDb/?igshid=clnnuesp8bmw
