I’m Sparklee_Gem over on Ao3 ✨

I’ve been involved in different fandoms over the years, but I only just started posting fics early last year, so I’m super excited to continue to share my works and connect with other authors!

I’ll be uploading updates on any new fics I’m working on or posted. Maybe some sneak peeks from time to time. #sparklee fics and #sparklee wip is how you can find them.

I also draw occasionally, and usually more than I write haha, so I’ll also reblog any art I post onto here, and tag it #my art on this blog.

I’m currently in the ygo fandom (specifically DM) and I’ve been here for almost three years now,, but I don’t see myself leaving anytime soon.

I’m still figuring out how to be an active author, and organizing everything through social media, so please be patient with me, but I’m very excited to share more with y’all! 🙏🏼✨

i'm breaking the author's silence to address these tags directly, because i've seen similar responses a few times. your context is part of you. you like your favorite band because you found them somehow. you speak the languages you speak because somebody else taught you. you feel the way you feel because you have memories and experiences. shaving off pieces of yourself will not reveal a truth at the center, and will only make you feel less like a person worth being. you will never shed your context or influences, anymore than you will ever become younger or undrink a glass of water. but you are free to create as much additional context as you like. build yourself outward instead of digging for yourself at the center. trying 100 new things will give you 100 more data points on what you like, don't like, think, believe, feel. it might begin to reveal an image of yourself that you can recognize, respect, and love. your life is not an object to be kept clean, it is an ongoing action that you get to control. also that's starlight glimmer not rarity.

Just wanted to say I absolutely adore your fics!! They're so good I loved the horror in housewarming, the way yami feels guilty about getting yugi sick when he stayed out in the snow for too long (so sweet and cute how he made the tea yugis mom used to make), atem x yami and yugi was so great too!! Yami having a one track mind and determined to get what he wants URGHHH season 0 yami come back🥹. The one where him and yugi in their soul room and going inside one another FUCKKKK so good!!!!!! Tytytyyy for providing me with these delicious meals

First off, so sorry for the delayed response to this, it was a mix of getting overwhelmed by how happy these comments make me that I have a hard time putting my thoughts into words and! A nasty case of tendinitis where I couldn’t even hold my phone properly for a few days 😭😭

But thank you so much for your message!! It’s not only super awesome to get a message or comment on a fic alone, but for you to read all my puzzle works means so much, and makes me really really REALLY happy 🥹 I feel like they’re all so different, and some of them from a long time ago so I sometimes get a little self conscious about my older writing. For those to also get some love also makes me feel really good about ALL the works I have out rn.

I’m actually surprised whenever I get feedback about the horror one I did (“Housewarming”) because I feel like the sad/ambiguous ending turns a lot of people away (understandable) so seeing you gush about the elements you liked, and how you enjoyed Yami’s role (was that your comment… about silly evil lesbian Yami… because I loved it so much it made me smile and makes me very happy to know yuri enjoyers can enjoy my yaoi works. Evil Lesbian Yami real.) brought back some confidence in leaving that work up.

The monarch/ puzzle one was another that I really loved writing and I feel like it’s a very specific and particular brand of monarch where it blurs a bit between puzzle and maybe even mobium, but overall I’m always glad to find others who enjoy that dynamic as well (where are the s0 yami and atem monarch enjoyers… please… stand up…)

And my latest one with the soul room explorations was really inspired by recent creators I’ve been following and admiring regarding the more abstract and strange and maybe unhealthy lens of puzzle, (I hope it’s fine to tag them but @rocketbirdie and @horizontalsplash especially really inspire me and have such amazing works around those themes for puzzle, especially if you’re a fan of stuff like psych horror, body horror, or abstract emotional explorations) and I’m so so happy it’s been received so well, I actually connected with some new friends through it, and that really motivates me to revisit similar ideas where I felt I may have weirded most people out with it beforehand…

I also want to thank you for YOUR fanworks, I absolutely adore your art, and as an artist myself, I always like finding new fanartists who are helping keep the fandom alive and well. Your s0 works especially I really love… but I’m also super biased to s0 in general haha.

I look forward to seeing all your future works, and while I have a lot of things that are obstacles in my creative process, I hope that I can continue to share works with you and everyone else ^_^

Today I wanted to talk about Kyle Bassinga. Kyle was a 21 year old man from Georgia, whose family described him as "a kind, thoughtful, and smart young man who loved nature, music, and the people around him". Kyle Bassinga was killed on February 18th 2026, just ten days after his birthday. He was found hanging from a tree in a park.

The police ruled it a suicide. The family and local community demanded an investigation. The police refused to change their ruling.

I know this website it too white for this to really go anywhere, but an understanding of the present reality of white supremacy in the United States is just so important to transfeminism here. Lynchings never stopped, white supremacy never went away, you just stopped looking.
