I read somewhere that among sunlight and water, another crucial ingredient for flowers to grow properly is love. I came up with the fabulous idea that humans needed the exact same thing to be healthy and to survive. So fuck that quote that says humans aren’t like flowers because writers romanticize pain. They can read this and laugh, but I hope you read this and feel. Because when you smile, you’re blooming. Because when you’re sad, you’re wilting. Because when you’re in love, you’re a dozen of roses given all around the world. Because when you break, someone just plucked you to be pressed in a journal. Because when you’re sad, winter is right around the corner. Because when you feel, a light breeze kissed your petals. Because when you laugh, you’re a dandelion being blown by five toddlers running in a field to catch butterflies just to let them go for the first time. Because when you’re hurting, that’s just a reminder to get more sunlight. Because when you cry, that’s why dew happens. Because when you’re whole, someone just put you in a vase. Because when you die, a bee just saved your life. Because when you became my friend, I never looked at humans the same… even humans need to be watered.
